The Burlington employee after yelling at the only two customers of color
    Taylor J.

I came to the Shoreline Burlington Coat Factory at 24111 Hwy 99 Edmonds, WA 98026 with my eleven year old to get her winter gear. While my daughter was trying on coats, an employee (see photo) yelled from across the store for us to 'hang all those coats up when you're done.' To have an employee yell at customers from across the store is unacceptable and rude. The statement to hang the coats back up was unnecessary. We had been trying on coats for awhile and had put everything back immediately after trying it on with the exception of two items; one picked out to purchase and one that was currently being tried on for a 2nd purchase. There were several other customers trying on clothing and bed wear in the racks next to us, white customers and not people of color like my daughter and I, and nothing was said to those customers about putting clothing back nor were they yelled at from across the store. When confronted about why she yelled at my daughter and I, the employee ran to hide in clothing racks. It took over 10 minutes for me to get the store manager, Fiona, called after asking other associates to call for her three separate times. It's a shame that my eleven year old and I can't even do something as simple as shop for basic winter necessities without being hit with racism and rudeness. Yes, the prices are great, no, the experience isn't worth losing my peace of mind and traumatizing my child with experiences like this.

This is the woman who will steal your cart so u can't purchase anything.

So when I was told that if I opened an account I would receive a discount on my purchase, I thought, I don't want another credit card, but I can cancel it as soon as I get it. So I was asked for my driver's license to start the process and my license dropped down a crack between two cabinets that are connected. I stood there for three hours while lots of employees attempted to rescue my license, but in the end they said they were going to have to call in someone who could get in there. I felt terrible, how was I supposed to get home without my driver's license? I did ask, "are you expecting me to illegally drive without my driver's license?" I know this was a freak accident, but I really felt distressed, however I did manage to drive home without incident. My husband who is very handy made a special trip there to see if he could rescue my license, but spent a couple hours trying with no success. I drove to the DOL, but the amount of people waiting was horrendous! So next I went to their website, but the first appointment I could get to replace my license was two months away! I ended up taking my appointment sheet in there and waited four hours before they called my number and finally got a temporary. In the meanwhile, T J Maxx was trying to get someone with the tools to take apart these cabinets to rescue my license. In the end, I told them since I had my new license on the way, they didn't need to distroy these cabinets. I would like to thank Anita the manager and Luis the District Manager for recognizing what an ordeal this was for me. Some of the reviews mention poor customer service and perhaps there are individuals who are not customer focused, but I would seek out the manager or District Manager because I found them to be very helpful!

Well over that 20-year time period I can probably count on one hand how many times I walked out of there with something worthwhile. For one thing the store is always in a fair amount of disarray. The racks are overcrowded. Too many items where they just have one or two things and it's really hard to find what you want in your size. A lot of stuff on the floor and if you do find something you love you have to wonder if it was stepped on or rolled over by a cart at some point. The prices probably are more reasonable if you do find something but you really got to dig. The thing that really burns my hide is the line. It's been long often in the past but it could be worthwhile if you found something. This most recent time I went the line was ridiculous. I would guess there was 35 or 40 people in line and three cashiers. The people were lined up all the way to the dressing room. I expect this if I go in Ross or the Goodwill. Not Nordstrom rack. Never again. But I want to give credit where credit is due, the cashiers despite the crushing workload where personable and did not display any stress despite the obvious frustration of everyone staring at them doing their job. Thank you for what you're doing, and hang in there ladies!

Unfortunatley, I remembered one thing, THE AWFUL lady who lIED about everything she said. I asked HOW MUCH? I'm OLD & on LOW INCOME I was stuck at the small office with 4 salespeople and me, the only cuastomer who has regretted forever doing so. This young lady heard my spiel about being old , being taken advantage of by COMCAST etc and JUST wanting a simple cell phone. Instead I get cornered with this BIG BAG OF digital JUNK... I told her it was a waste as I would just be returening it all. THAT IS when I ASKED the question..HOW many days do I have to return this without paying? SHE said 20 days. At least that got me out of there. I tried to return the bag the next day SUNDAY but they were closed. I did so on Monday, May of 2024 with a smile on my face and I thanked her very much but this does not work for me. BRITTANY yelled at me, OK that will be $350.00 for the restocking fee???WTH ?? I asked her before I left is there a charge? NO 20 days. So I was feeling HAD already, having comcast for years and watching them screw all low-income people. I was lit at her nasty remark of $350.00 for restocking an iphone and some unopened widgets ? whatever. and this was clearly before 20 days. I told her, she could place them back on the shelf herself as no other customers were in there either. THEN the corker, BRITTANY the manager, says to me" I'LL RUIN YOUR CREDIT." and she did she now has a $1,753.23 claim against me. I went back there a few times to try & figure who I talk to besides that snot? No one remebered her, said THE longest working agent had been there only 4 months and him only 2 days FAST TURN OVER LOUSY SERVICE and the horrible manager BRITTANY who has the power to ruin credit to those she dislikes. NEVER in my life heard of a restocking fee without being told. I obviouosly would never have taken anything but her hard sell and her telling me IT'S ALL FREE ? I told her nothing is free and how long do I have to decide? That was me beinmg polite, I never intended on keeping any of it. I tried to tell her I wasn't interested in tech just a cell phone

I love HomeGoods and shop at many of their locations often. I was at H-mart across the street and was delighted to see a HomeGoods across the street. I decided to go in but quickly regretted it. One of the first problems with this location is that they are overrun with inventory. This isn't a large store, so I don't know why they have so much stuff. There isn't enough space in the store to display it all in a safe and neat manner. I used to work retail many moons ago, so seeing unpacked boxes hanging out on the floor, as well as a wall of unpacked cardboard boxes in the lighting section, tells me that their back storage area must also be full. There were also about 5-6 tables outside of the store with tons of stuff on them, all clearance that they were trying to get rid of. The store looks sloppy and unprofessional. It's like the manager and the staff just to give a damn. The shelves are also a mess and the merchandise was sloppily hanging on the shelves. There was one aisle that had pillows on the floor. There were so many that they were blocking the way. You couldn't get through without stepping on them or tripping. Are they trying to get sued??? Honestly, there was just shit everywhere in and out of boxes. Even if this was just a bad and busy day, I will never come back. The location in Queen Anne on Armory is much nicer and better run. If you want a nice shopping experience where you aren't at risk of injury due to store items on the floor, don't shop here.

It's better stocked and organized, making it a more enjoyable shopping experience. The prices and quality here are typically better than Amazon, particularly for organizing items. I find that the quality of bedsheets here are a better deal when compared to Costco. Storage boxes, garbage bins, high thread count bedsheets, and party supplies are all great deals and have a lot of personality. If you're looking for actual furniture or cooking pans, look to purchase somewhere else with a good return policy (like Costco or Amazon). I generally only buy home accents from HomeGoods. The checkout staff are generally pretty friendly, which adds to the positive shopping experience. If you're looking for unique, quality items at great prices, check out the Lynnwood HomeGoods over Woodinville or Bellevue.

I got a seasonal reindeer 3 kitchen towel set as well as Reese's pieces themed socks for less than $20.00 with tax. The interior of the store has been updated since I was growing and retains a warm and welcoming feel.
