Two words, GIANT TARGET, versus the ones in Seattle: Downtown, Northgate, UDistrict, and Ballard. The latter two has closed. I've stopped in previously, usually for a detour for The Homie or items for The Nephew. This was the first time to create a Target account to place an online order for store pickup (11/25/23 - 11/26/23). I appreciated the ease of locating the item and its availability at various store sites. I was also given an update when it was ready for pickup. Why 3 stars? Poor signage of where to get assistance. Big sign near entrance says Returns /Exchanges, but dinky sign for Order Pickups. Scanner used by store associate was glitchy to scan the bar code. And the 80 cents extra charge for a bag fee, of which was never received. UPDATE: bag fee was removed because of the completed onsite/in-person pickup. Thankfully, a limited item was available post Black Friday. However, I rarely go out of my way to shop here. It can get a bit busy and congested with its proximity to Alderwood Mall. read more

Aarya/Aria from the pickup department is the reason for this review. I came in around 8 PM and needed help with an item in the clearance section. Asking for help is honestly the last thing I want to do. I usually try to figure things out myself first, but my app wouldn't scan the item, and the scanner near the plastic plates wouldn't scan it either. There were two of the same item in clearance, and neither had a sale price, so I simply wanted to know if they had been placed there by mistake or if they were actually on sale. I asked Aarya/Aria for help, and she told me to wait "one minute." I was patient, but that one minute turned into over five minutes. I actually timed it. During that time, she repeatedly rolled her eyes and seemed visibly annoyed that I had asked for assistance. What made the interaction even more uncomfortable was the constant huffing and puffing while walking back and forth a very short distance. It was only a few steps, yet she acted as though helping a customer was an exhausting task. There were also several other employees nearby, so I'm not sure why a simple price check became such an ordeal. I understand that work can be tiring and everyone has bad days. But if you're working in a customer-facing position, basic courtesy still matters. If you need more time, just communicate that. If you're busy, say so. Don't tell a customer "one minute" and then leave them standing there while visibly acting irritated. Maybe she needs more experience and practice in the role. More hours might actually help with that. Customer service is part of the job, and hopefully with more practice, helping a customer won't feel like such a physically demanding experience. I also felt uncomfortable with the way I was treated and felt that there was a racial component to the interaction. No customer should leave wondering whether they were treated differently because of their race. I wasn't asking for special treatment. I had already tried the app and the store scanner myself. Both didn't work, so I asked an employee a very basic question. The huffing, puffing and eye-rolling were completely unnecessary. I came in to shop, not to feel like I had inconvenienced someone by asking for help. read more

I don't like that everything's locked up - I understand why they did it - but I feel a more efficient way would've been putting it behind the counter and having an employee manage it. Or you can order it and pick it up. But having to find an employee to get the unlock the boxes and pay for all the boxes just raise the prices on items that are needed because people were stealing. So I feel like this hurts the consumer that actually pays for their items. I don't know who sold them these locked closets, but it was a bad idea. Also, there's too much selection need to simplify. The selection is overwhelming. Stores have too many items overstimulating. So people are running around with earphones on because they're too stimulated. Background music needs to go back to piano music because the store has too much racket going on. read more

Been coming to this Target for years. I enjoyed the clean layout and facility. Their staff was always helpful when I reached out to them for questions. I also have used their CVS pharmacy. All have met my expectations. Sometimes I wonder why some shelves would be empty since covid, but so far I still get all the stuff I need, so no complaints there. Based on my Google research, Target does have some things that are better value than others. Parking is easy as there is a big parking lot. read more

Great customer service. Guest service was helpful especially right before closing . Hassle free return. Awesome to see this type of service. You can tell they need help , lots of returns still sitting on the counter and not a lot of help. My service was great. Overall they can use more staff from my 5 minute observations at the counter. I'd go back here and shop easy parking for those who order on the app that's a 5/5. read more

Only one cashier for thirty customers waiting to checkout. They fired all the cashiers and installed all self checkout stands and now they closed all the self checkout stands and can't train new cashiers fast enough to replace the ones they fired years ago. I lost 25 minutes waiting in line, all self checkout stands were closed. Now you can only buy online. read more

#ThankYouThursday2021 is dedicated to Target!! I'm so thankful for the various shopping experiences Target has in place. As a working wife and mom to two under two Target conveniently comes to my rescue on a weekly basis!! Target - A ludicrously long line for self checkout at Alderwood Target. - Department Stores Near Me - Lynnwood, Washington

This Target can get packed during Black Friday shopping. I have found there to be a lull after the first couple open hours where the line isn't too long. They do a good job of marking the line on the ground and making it easy to follow up to the cash registers at the front of the store. During non-peak shopping times it isn't too busy and crowded. On the store level there are offerings from electronics to sporting goods to clothing to grocery to home furnishings to hygiene, etc. Though the offerings in each category can be a bit limited, I suppose the price to pay for having a wide spattering of things. Target still is my go to location for comfortable lingerie (bras and panties) at a decent price. If you find a bra you like I recommend stocking up on it as merchandise can change quickly and the bra you like might no longer be available (I've had this happen with some of the sports bras and convertible back bras). Check-out is simple and straightforward and both self check-out and cashier check-out options are available. read more

It's a pretty big store with a good selection. They have a nice selection of women's plus size clothes. However, the way things are set throughout the store is confusing. They changed product placement a few years ago and it doesn't make any sense, which can be frustrating. They have a bigger seasonal selection than the Everett store. I do not like this parking lot. The store is really busy and people and constantly coming and going in their cars. The car pickup always takes longer than the one at the Everett store. All the employees have been friendly and very helpful. read more

I have no issues with the inventory or cleanliness of this store. I come here very frequently for my weekly essentials and I never have a problem finding anything. The service from employees is also satisfactory. This would be a fantastic Target if it wasn't for the line. It's gotten to the point that I actually set a timer to see how fast I can get to the register. The shortest wait I've had in my last 3 visits is 12 minutes... Maybe we cross-train some of the floor employees to come up to ring when it's super backed up? I don't know, it just doesn't make sense to see like 15 staff members but only have 3 registers open. I'm buying groceries, not waiting at the DMV. read more

Stopped in around 9:30 pm on a Sunday night. There were shoppers but it wasn't crowded, so it made shopping pleasant. Most of the shelves weren't empty, but it was somewhat difficult locating toddlers and men's under garments, eg, camisoles, briefs, and tee shirts. Not a lot of employees on the floor to assist shoppers so I just walked the store and finally located what I was shopping for read more

We went to a wedding on Orcas Island last month, and on our way from Seattle to the ferry terminal in Anacortes, my friends, my husband, and I stopped by this Target in Lynnwood to stock up on supplies for the weekend. Mostly, we bought booze--a moderate amount only, as both the Friday night dinner and the Saturday wedding were open-bar events. We just figured if we picked up a few six-packs, someone in our house would drink it. This Target had a solid selection--we picked up some Coronas and Deschutes IPAs, as well as some canned wine and a hard seltzer called White Claw, which was basically Mike's Hard Lemonade for the La Croix crowd. We ended up plowing through half of our supply at the ferry terminal, waiting for the boat to take off. We picked up a few other things, too. Kevin L. was dismayed by the low inventory of kombucha, but Melissa K. was pleased with the low price of the generic brand Pepcid. I remembered that I hadn't shaved my legs in a long time, like maybe not this calendar year, and decided to get a razor. The store was nice and easy to navigate. I mean, you've been to a Target, right? It looked like a Target, why am I Yelping this at one in the morning, what choices have I made that have led me to this moment? Check-out was quick and easy, and some of us used the bathroom on our way out. All in all, a productive stop that kept us supplied with beer and hard seltzer for the remainder of our weekend. read more

Since this store is such a nightmare I use the drive up option. My order was ready at 3pm, I come around 7pm and it's been around 20 mins to look for the order that was ready 4 hours ago ‍‍ A few weeks ago you had lines all the way through the store to check out. Now the drive up option doesn't work. Does anyone actually work here?? read more

I enjoy visiting Target because of its cleanliness, size, and more comprehensive selection than other Target locations. The customer service is good whenever I need assistance. The major problem I have with this Target is their long checkout lines. This problem can be mitigated by having more cashiers or creating a new self-checkout line. read more

I went to this Target at 7:00PM and their dressing room was closed even though they close at 10:00PM. Extremely irritating, I was told I could buy it and return it if it doesn't fit. Had everything I needed and a good and fair price. Nice that it opens earlier than most.

I need to tell you guys beware of the entrance and ramp leading towards it. It is such a hazard to have this big old cement ramp and a green sign saying enter. I fell right on my face and stubbed the core to my toe. Is most broke my phone falling down. All the customers came to ask if I was alright and that it looked like it would've hurt. But there wasn't a front end manager there in charge of maintenance. I don't get what they're thinking... like why would you put a yellow flat ground where the carts go in the middle, but not make the other ground flat too? I'm so mad right now. It was at like 9pm and the sun set so I couldn't see the ground very well but I mean who checks the ground to see if they can safely walk up to the doors? Shit. read more

If I could give negative stars I would. Don't shop here if you're black. Associates will follow you around the store. This one guy followed me from mens and throughout womens department pretending he was checking tags. I watched him for a few minutes and he truly wasn't working just pretending to work. Then in the electronics department the bald guy said I didn't have to check out at the electronics and then proceeded to follow me to the checkout stands. This is so disgusting and target should do better and rise above it's racial profiling actions. The associates here are trained very poorly. Again do not shop here if you're black and don't want to be followed!!! Target, black people have money also. Let us shop in peace. read more

One of the worst Targets you can choose to go to. I love Target, and I can't recall a single bad experience I've had in any Targets in Washington state. My friend and I went here amidst the peak of the whole coronavirus outbreak, and they were decently stocked. There were a lot of hand-soaps, and my friend wanted to stock up since he's in the high risk category and doesn't want to go out a lot. There wasn't a sign posted saying that there were limits, so my friend grabbed 6 bottles of 6 different scented Method brand hand-soaps that he wanted to try. When we got to the register to pay, the cashier rudely informed us with an attitude that only one bottle per person was allowed. This left my friend and I frantically trying to decide which scent he wanted to keep. A kind lady in front of us offered to buy one for us, and the cashier rudely responded with "you're not allowed to do that". Lmao. I could tell that the lady felt embarrassed by the employee's comment, and I felt bad that she was reprimanded for trying to do a kind gesture. My friend and I bought one soap each, and left without any problems. I thought that this instance was a fluke, so I never wrote a review about it. 2 weeks ago, I went from Targets to Targets trying to find a plushie that my friend was looking for. This location, was one of the locations I decided to revisit to see if they had the item. I hadn't been back since the soap incident months ago. I went up to an employee who seemed to be a manager, and she was fixing/cleaning up the toy area. I approached her and asked her if she had the toy in stock or had seen it (while showing her a picture of what it looked like), and her response was "Nope. I don't even work in this department. The toy department employees are gone for the day." I said "okay, thank you" and left. I've only been to this location twice, and both times the employees have had a stank attitude. Lol. Avoid this location at all costs. Go to Everett instead, or Northgate. Northgate has the friendliest and most helpful employees. read more

Target used to be a nice and fun way to shop. The location on Alderwood Mall Pkwy isn't. The cosmetic shelves are sparse if not empty. Most items I want are out of stock. I thought initially they were gearing up for inventory and were letting things run out first but many months later find that not to the case. The store is messy, clothing area is unorganized. Out of items. Forced to self check out often due to no one on the checkout stand. Need new management I suspect. What is going on? read more

WELCOME TO TARGET: EVERYONE'S HAPPY PLACE. I swear the service that I experience at Target is phenomenal. There is an older black woman that works here and has for the last (at least) 2 years. My first interaction with her was after I had given birth to my daughter, and had to get more pampers. My daughter was only two weeks old, and she helped me check out, and before I left, she very lovingly she went - "Now you take that baby home! She's too young to be out." - That sounds like it could be a reach, but you could tell that she cares and for that I appreciate her. The employees are really helpful and they remember you, which on a bad day makes it a happy place. They don't ask you questions about your personal life, or what's going on, because they don't know you well enough! But they know you well enough to say hello to you and your family and ask how you have been doing. read more

Reviewing visit on 10/8/22: The garbage can outside was overflowing; spilling garbage was everywhere. The ladies' restroom was filthy. Toilet paper all over the floor. Me and my step brothers were goofing off not harming anything, or anybody, then two employees came up to us and told us to knock it off harshly, and then when when we stopped one off my step brothers wanted a piggy back ride and tried to get on the other, and the employees told us that we done and we got kicked out. Back again with another review. Literally what is wrong with this location!!!! Northgate is a few minutes away on the freeway and the experience is always 10x better there. This location (FOR A YEAR NOW) never has anything stocked, and they're always SOOO behind in putting stuff out. For example, I was here yesterday and they were JUST starting to put out the college stuff in place of the summer stuff. While others targets this stuff has been out for awhile now... Halloween merchandise is already out on the shelves at Northgate. This place is always a mess, again, NOTHING is stocked. Every isle is empty shelves. But there's tons of employees walking around all the time? I don't understand it. But I am done coming here. I'll stick to Northgate where they actually do their jobs. ‍ read more

Horrible experience- arrived at 6:55pm and the pharmacy closes at 7:00pm. The woman had already shut the lights off and told me I'd have to come back tomorrow when they opened. When I showed her the time she told me that she had to close anyway. I explained that I was out of my prescription and that I needed it from a health perspective but she wouldn't help. This Target has been remodeled with the new mini food concept within the last few years. The selection is fantastic and the prices are truly much cheaper then one would find at a grocery store. The isles are wide and the store is clean which are both pluses. Some things that drive me nuts though is the store is dead quiet. They really need to add some music to make the store feel more inviting. The cashiers are quick and accurate which is also a huge plus. The Starbucks inside makes quality and accurate drinks, yea for that! What is the biggest point dropper for this store? The pharmacy department. I will NEVER return to this pharmacy again because of the pharmacist working on 3-22-2013. I have chosen not to post what the situation was online, but have communicated it so store management. I highly advise everyone to stay away from THIS locations pharmacy. The rest of the store is great and I will shop there again, but never have a script filled here. Woodinville is so much better, or if Woodinville is to far heck you will get better service at Walmart then from this guy. read more

Pretty good selection. But... for some reason I feel like this Target is dirtier than other Targets.
