Cute heart!
Greg D.

Named after the city in which it was formed, Burlington Coat Factory (Burlington is the company name) started in the 70's and opened its first Boise location on Fairview and Cole next to the Albertsons and another in the Karcher Mall in Nampa, which is moving, or has moved, to a new shopping center near Costco. 6th person to review this Burlington and my 465th review. There is literally something for everyone and at up to 65% off the suggested retail price, how can you go wrong? Clothing of all sorts, make-up, fragrances (trendy name brand), dress clothes, shoes, cookware and other household items, decorative materials, baby items, and much more! They come in super big sizes, too! If you're looking to lounge around in a 6x shirt on a raining Saturday, Burlington is the place! During the holidays they offer layaway with a small down payment. You get a $5 coupon, too, for doing so. The cashiers are all friendly. At the end of your transaction, they ask you for your phone number (to register your purchase in the event that you have to return something without a receipt) and I always tell them that I am married-- they blush. Heck one lady said, "and...". Hahahaha.

Love this store! Great selection of unique clothes and the staff is always so friendly! Emery was…read moresuper helpful and friendly, helped guide me through the app so I could get my birthday coupon! Thank you for making my visit so great!

There are several places like this that I've been to, hell we have all been to secondhand clothing…read moreplaces NO MATTER WHAT YOU SAY hahaha! I used to go to one in Phoenix called Buffalo Exchange. Back in the day that place was the shiiiiiiit! It's been years and years since I've been to that place. That was probably my first experience with a store like that. Last time I went, they had all high end clothing..which is fine even for the $30,000 a year millionaires lol. However when they switched to that, the magic of Buffalo Exchange..had died. It's fine and fun to have that, but not everyone needs a Gucci belt, used, for $150 lol. Here in Boise/Meridian we have a decent selection of stores like this to choose from. Many first rush to Plato's Closet AAAAND...they shouldn't. Plato's Closet is a national chain and they kinda suck. They have the back in NY. I mean, cmon! These types of stores are best when they're unique to themselves. Buffalo Exchange is even a chain, mostly west coast, I believe tho unless they've expanded further east hmm? Plato's used to be just ok. Now they're annoying. They, like so many stores, I repeat this again..forget that men like to wear clothes too and forget that we have to wear them. Yes I know, statistically women buy more clothing, but still doesn't mean that stores should take away a chunk of a mens section to put more womens. I like clothes. I like to buy them lol. So that being said, Runway Exchange doesn't get a pass on this. Their mens section used to be slightly bigger but now...it's a tiny corner in the back of the store and everything is jammed into like 4 racks. It's kinda crazy, hella annoying, and inconvenient. You take something off the rack and 5 things come with it. Clearly they continue to buy mens clothes and why??? Because men keep buying clothes there lol. That's about the only complaint I have with this place. Honestly, that'll be my complaint with any store that has a tiny mens section and a 95% of the store section for women lol. No, I do not hate women lol. I just need businesses to remember that they share the planet with...guys lol. Runway Exchange is the store people should ALWAYS go to first over Plato's. I say this because 1) they're very close by to each other and 2) even tho Runway may be smaller, it's 1000x better and always will be. The staff is hella more friendly than Plato's and they don't treat you different at Runway if you're not a GenZ girl or millennial lol. They treat you the way all customers should be treated. Plato's doesn't want anything to do with you if you're older than 25ish haha! Now that everyone knows I'm older lol, that doesn't mean we all have to dress like our grandparents did. I'm not in my 50s or 60s tho..thank God lol. Runways prices are much better than Plato's. Plato's, you'd think would have slightly lower prices being a national chain vs Runway which I DON'T think is a chain? I could be wrong? But smaller stores whether secondhand or not almost always have higher prices..that's common knowledge lol. Even with the tiny section at Runway, I'll choose it over Plato's ANY. DAY. Plato's will be a last resort. They are open to buying more at Runway and clearly have better taste in clothes lol. Can you tell yet that I'm a big fan of this place and not a fan at all of Plato's? Lol Whether you buy something or not, this store is fun to look around at. The vibe in this store is always a positive one. I hope it stays that way. Moral of the story, or moral of this review ...or something like that, go to Runway Exchange if you like shopping for these types of clothes and only go to Plato if you're an annoying millen...no, wait, only go to Plato's if you absolutely couldn't find what you're looking for at Runway or literally any other secondhand clothing store lol. Prices are decent, as mentioned, the staff is super friendly, they treat you as a human no matter how old you are lol. I'm guessing little old ladies and men could go here and they'd still treat them with respect. Plato's they would legit laugh at them and probably post pics of them to their instas. Anyone whose been to Plato's knows this is probably true lol. Runway is located in a weird strip mall. So it's kinda hidden which I love and I think that helps keep the vibe a good one. Just a great store. I don't go clothes shopping all that often, but I'll always make a stop in here when I do. The management knows what they're doing. They run a great store. Cheer, Yelpexchangers! Oh and again, great place to sell your clothes! I'm telling you, check here first if your in Boise! Thanks!

Located on 6th street, this shop is your one stop shop for all things Idaho, handmade and incredibly special. You can find blown glass, textiles, soaps, lotions, chocolate, peanuts, ornaments, shave oils, cutting boards, games, mugs, vases, ornaments and so much more. Most of my favorite makers were there (think Ladybug Press, Sawtooth Glass Project, City Peanut Shop, All Spun Up, Sage Woolens, etc.) It felt like a holiday craft bazaar that is open year round and housing the very best products. I found the selection to be varied and affordable. You could find things for men, women, children, pets and even yourself! It bears repeating that you are paying for handcrafted, small-business wares. It is not going to have the same price tag as a manufactured good from a big box store. It will be a higher price tag. I like to think that I'm paying for a story. My purchased items contain all the love, hope, and hard work that each maker poured into their product. I love to give handmade stuff for gifts and I think they are appreciated a lot more than something I could ship from Amazon. The shop keepers were lovely. I think they are some of the makers, but it was so very busy when I went in that I didn't want to bog them down with conversation. If you are looking for special presents, this is the place to go. Enjoy all the treasures.
