I filled it thinking I would have discomfort and, though my pain tolerance is fairly high, I would take it. I have not had to take anything for the pain at all. I feel great and slept like the dead last night. I can't thank Dr Fitzhugh and his staff enough. They were very kind and I was even "serenaded" by the good Dr during the procedure. I did not know this also other times I've gotten a tooth pulled the next day. I was absolutely miserable and today I can't even till I got it pulled. It felt different the way she did it. I had my first appointment with Dr. Stone in January. I brush twice a day and floss EVERY night…read more The hygienist praise me for how well my mouth looked and told me to keep up the great work then Dr. Stone came in with a list of work that needed to be done. Two crowns multiple filling new/reduce older one from when I was younger I started treatment immediately as I was horrified that my mouth had rotting teeth in it. After the second filling and my permanent crown being placed I was having severe pain and sensitivity when eating or drinking even using my mouth wash shot a pain through my face. I notified Dr. Stone and he told me a lot of work was done it's probably sensitive give it about a week. Three weeks later he finally gets me in as the pain had not gotten better and redid the filling and put me back into a temporary the margins on the crown were off allowing food and drink to touch my shaved down tooth. After he fixed the filling I haven't had any more pain the crown on the other hand I had several more appointments for finally got my third permanent in April and I've still having problems I bite my cheek and food just stuck in it. I explained to him I wanted to get a second opinion on the crown since I was still having issues to which he agreed to refund the cost of it so I would have to double pay. While waiting for the second opinion I scheduled for two more teeth to be done on a Monday at 7am. I had my records sent to the other dentist to review the crown and when Sunday before my 7am appointment rolled around I realized I never received a confirmation for my appointment. I messaged Dr. Stone and he informed me that because I had my records sent to a different dentist they removed me as a patient and canceled all my future appointments. I was never notified of this nor did I receive the cancelation notice when they removed my appointment. I called to get put back on the schedule since I made it clear I was just getting a second opinion on my crown. Dr. Stone then told me he would need to have a consult with me before scheduling any further appointments to make sure we were on the same page. I agreed and they scheduled me three weeks out. I email them requesting an earlier appointment and asked that if he wanting a meeting to release me as his patient to just let me know so I can figure out the next steps. They called and offered me an earlier appointment never mentioning his releasing me as a patient. Well today I go in for our consultation to make sure we are on the same page and he tells me because of the issues I've had with his work it really bothers him because he's very type A and he doesn't feel comfortable treating me anymore. I still had 3 other appointments to complete my care plan and now I no longer have a dentist. I am being penalized because he isn't happy with his own work. I am extremely disappointed as I was never disrespectful during the entire process even though it was extremely frustrating to not have the work done right the first time. The last time talked to Dr.Stone I expressed that I felt he was getting tired of dealing with me because of all the problems that have come up in my treatment and he responded "I'm here from 7-4 everyday whether it's you in my chair or someone else I'm here either way so that doesn't matter." Apparently that was a lie because my next appointment was canceled and I was pulled along for two weeks just to be told I need to find a new dentist.

Despite this, the dental office charged my card $1,419.60 -- nearly double the verified amount owed. Additionally, I scheduled my care with a specific dentist, but for my second visit I was seen by an associate due to the original provider's unavailability. Although this change was not initiated by me, I was assessed a $75 "new doctor" fee. Charging a patient under these circumstances is misleading and raises serious concerns about billing integrity. When I attempted to resolve these discrepancies, I encountered repeated resistance. I was forced to make numerous attempts to obtain a refund, and while a partial refund was eventually issued, the office still owes me over $100 based on the insurance-approved amounts. Rather than addressing the matter in good faith, staff refused to engage in meaningful resolution and instead directed me to "take it up with my insurance," despite the discrepancies originating from their billing. The situation escalated further when the office contacted law enforcement and accused me of harassment simply for persistently requesting to speak with a manager regarding a legitimate financial dispute. Following this, they ceased communication entirely and appear to have blocked my phone number, effectively preventing any further attempt to resolve the issue -- including contact with corporate oversight. Throughout this process, staff provided inconsistent and demonstrably inaccurate information, much of which directly conflicted with documentation from my insurance provider. These actions raise serious concerns regarding compliance with standard billing practices and transparency obligations. Based on my experience, I strongly advise against doing business with this office. Patients should be aware of the risk of being overcharged, improperly billed, and denied appropriate resolution when discrepancies arise.
