By far the worst mint location. I have been to the Dallas, grapevine, Arlington and now Burleson location. I've had amazing service at all other locations except this one. I am pregnant and they treated me like they have no knowledge or consideration at all when it comes to pregnancy. First, I requested to be at a small incline as it is not safe to be flat on your back. The DENTIST made multiple comments how that was uncomfortable for her because she would have to stand instead of sit during my filing. Making me feel like a total burden. Further, I waited a hour past my appointment to start my filling. Once started, she and the assistant talked about their relationships and religion and home life the whole time. It was extremely unprofessional. Then 1/2 way through the doctor told me she needed to go do other exams. So she left me 1/2 way done sitting there for another 20 -30 minutes to go work on other patients. So all in all , the appointment that should have taken 30 minutes took almost 2 hours. My advice, go to a dentist that actually cares about their work, and not their coming up vacation time. It's typically the office staff that are terrible and the doctors make up for it , but in this case, it clearly starts at the top and the staff follows along constantly apologizing for the dentist's behavior. read more

CHEMICALLY BURNED!!!! I have always loved the dentist, I went to Dental school, I've had most of my teeth, surgically extracted when they were loose as a kid because I love the dentist so much. This is in fact, the worst dental office I've ever been to, I don't know if it's because it's a chain, probably so, but I definitely won't be going back. My first experience was a cleaning and general exam, a typical exam, X-rays were taken, health history/concers discussed, followed by the cleaning. Everybody here seems as though they hate their job, nobody smiling at you. Nobody's telling you to have a good day or asking how your day has been, just seems like nobody really wants to be there . I have never had cavities, but I guess there's a first for everything. My follow up appointment was booked about a week later which I went in for, for someone who has never had a filling I did opt in for nitrous gas, I was told it was only a $10 extra charge just for it to be an extra $50 charge. I then had also asked for a whitening to be done, I assumed from my previous schooling that this is going to be an in office medical grade teeth whitening session, that was not the case! I was fitted essentially with a rubber Invisalign tray and given a syringe full of at home teeth whitener that could be purchased off the shelf at Walmart. Which, if you ask me being that they say teeth whitening on their website, I personally feel if it's not being done by the dentist then that's just false advertisement, but whatever. My biggest issue is that during my exam I was chemically burned! The dentist performing the exam didn't seem to be all that concerned, he did end the session only after I asked that we stop because I could no longer continue because it was burning so badly. No report was done. No photos were taken, no evidence collected whatsoever that I was harmed on their property. I left immediately went to Care Now, was informed that I was in fact chemically burned. They treated me, and sent me on my way. Did I get a phone call or a follow up from Mint asking how I'm doing; checking in on a patient that was injured in their clinic? Absolutely not! They didn't care one bit. 8 people in the office not a single one! Being that I had already paid for my services I reluctantly did go back to have the glue from past braces removed. The dentist this time was different. She on the other hand was fantastic!Unfortunately, I did not get her name, but her customer service skills and her concern for her patient is the only reason this review has two stars instead of one, and although she is a great dentist and has fantastic bedside manners it seems as though she's the only one who enjoys her job. First the ladies at the front desk are anything but pleasant. They sit there and appear to have a look on their face that says, I'm just going through the motions and don't care if you're happy or not. I went in for a teeth cleaning. It had been a while since I was there and I had new insurance. They never bothered to tell me that now that I have new insurance I'm considered a new patient, instead they said since it had been a while since I was in they needed to update my x-rays... OK, that makes sense. Then I sit in the chair and take yet more x-rays. The assistance says.. the doctor will be in shortly. The doctor comes in and says based on my insurance they require we start with a deep cleaning so go up front and the ladies will discuss payment with you. I'm like wait, that's it? Yes Maám. A little shocked I walked to the front without getting my teeth cleaned and was told that a deep cleaning was going to be $700 (approx) and my insurance would only pay half so you will need to pay the other half out of pocket. Long pause and stare... I said wait just to get my teeth cleaned? Yes Maám and your insurance allowance is only $1000 so they will leave you $300 and something for the remainder of the year... What? and I still don't get my teeth cleaned? Yes Maám, that will be a different visit. But you haven't done anything? "She says, how would you like to pay?" I don't ... NO this isn't what I came in for on top of which this is my second visit because you all were so behind I had to reschedule. Needless to say I left and she never even offered any other option whatsoever. Then I get an email statement showing they filed on my insurance for the x-rays to the tune of $607 dollars which is 3/4 of my allowance for the year. I've called their office 3 times and still no one has given me the least amount of explanation or options. And... still don't have my teeth cleaned. I think Mint dentistry is a lot of hot wind and don't really care about their patients. On top of which when the doctor mentioned deep cleaning I said I would like to has the gas because I am extremely uncomfortable because I had a very bad experience in the past with a dentist and she goes..... oh sorry we don't do that anymore. UGH, I will not be back Dr. Harrison who says they cater to their patients because his Mom had a bad experience. I call BS. read more

In the past I had a great experience with Mint till today. When I first arrived the receptionist had her toddler in her lap who was crying and screaming. While filling out paperwork the toddler was running around in the lobby banging on the doors, lifting shades and screaming. At one point, another patient thought he was my kid and I was leaving him behind when going to the back. After having x-rays done the doctor recommended I have a deep cleaning and would not perform my regular cleaning or do the teeth whitening mold. I wanted to move forward with the deep cleaning but was told they were about to close and now I needed to make 2 additional appointments for the deep cleanings. I feel like this place was very unprofessional and my insurance carrier is being abused by this system. read more

I had a great experience at Mint, plan to return and would recommend to others. The online process of making an appointment was simple and you could fill out and sign some paperwork before coming in. All of the staff were extremely nice and welcoming. I waited no more than 5 minutes before being called back. I was surprised I was the only patient that I could see on a Monday afternoon however it sounded like a few others arrived minutes later. Xrays and photos were simple. While waiting you can choose between Netflix and pandora. I chose to watch Friends- always a classic! The chair also is massaging, however I chose not to use that. I had one filling that needed to be removed and replaced which I was able to do right then. The front desk assistant brought the paperwork and cost for the whole appointment. With my insurance it was only $68 and I felt comfortable paying that. The procedure for the filling was very quick one the numbing was done. I began to feel lightheaded after being numbed and luckily one of the staff was nearby and was extremely helpful in providing water and talking with me which made me feel better. Once that was done the hygienist came in for the cleaning which was quick and easy as well. I received a small bag of items including a toothbrush, 2 travel size toothpastes, a huge Mint whitening toothpaste, floss and some lipstick. Overall I was happy with my visit. It was no more than 2 hours long for everything. The next day I received a call making sure everything was still good. I plan to come back next time for my routine cleaning. read more

Beware!! I wondered why they had so many appointments available, and now I know why. Their office staff is rude, condescending, and lack empathy and compassion. I've been in healthcare administration for over 20 years and I'd be embarrassed if this was my practice! The texts they send to patients seriously need to be reviewed for spelling and grammar inaccuracies, another red flag that shows their lack of professionalism. I wish I would have taken heed of the reviews before I wasted my time. However, it's their loss. I'll take my family elsewhere and get dentistry and aligners. 1 tooth in a lot of pain. They cleaned my teeth great! gave me 2 fillings. My insurance covered most of the expenses-No problem at least it's done. Over the weekend still in pain same area. Called Monday went in and it turns out they did the tooth infront of the one in pain. No ownership, no sorry. Not even a quote to fix the correct tooth. The dentist who did it left the room after the X-rays and sent in another dentist stating she had a meeting to important to miss. This tells me she knew she screwed up and let someone else "handle me" who was never apart of my treatment or repair yet told me I must have complained about the wrong tooth. All those fancy machines - 3 sets of X-rays- 2 dentist -1 hygienist -2 assistants and sorry you must have pointed with your tongue wrong. I'd say pass on the hype - my issue is small but now I get to try and pay for the repair completely out of pocket at Christmas.... read more

Things started great, got X-rays, dentist came and spoke to me, the young lady said she would be right back to start cleaning and go over plans. Then some older lady came in took everything off me, took the sun glasses back they gave for the lights, said you are done and can leave. Nothing got done, front desk didn't know what was going on. What an amazing place. The staff ate all amazing (specifically Julie), and most of all my Dr. -Dr. Shattuck. Very gentle, explained all of my options, answered all of my questions and it was a very good experience...I had an extreme fear of the dentist, and was terrified when I walked in, but left saying to myself "Wow, what was I worried for?". Been going here since they opened in Burleson. Always great. And No, I'm not giving them a great review because you get an extra syringe of teeth whitener. The front office is very nice, hygienists are very thorough and friendly and dentists that really listen to their patient's concerns. I've had 2 very old and weak veneers replaced with new crowns, an implant, multiple routine cleanings, a deep cleaning and I'm about to have an old crown replaced. After decades of dentists only Wanting to bill my insurance...I found one who actually cares about their patients! read more

Beware!!! DO NOT GO HERE. They were friendly and did a great cleaning but then told me I needed 4 cavities filled and charged $250 more than other dentist around per cavity. I usually never have cavities and have perfect oral hygiene so I was suspicious. I went to another local dentist for a 2nd opinion who told me I have no cavities and need no treatment. If you need more than cleanings, I would find somewhere else to go! So disappointed. read more

I went to mint to address a tooth I felt had an abscess. Front desk was sweet. The hygienist was great. But the dentist.....not friendly, at all. Looked sleepy the whole time he spoke to me. Then told me I needed to see oral surgery for my wisdom tooth to be removed, and would start me on antibiotics. I was ok with that. Then he said they would clean my teeth today , and would have to numb me up. I was a little surprised bc I was there to help alleviate my infection and he knew I was in pain from it....but wanted to clean my teeth ? I refused. He seemed irritated. And here I am writing this review because my prescription was never sent to my pharmacy. So I'm waiting on Teladoc to call me to prescribe me antibiotics bc mint is closed til Tuesday!! I'm so annoyed and will NEVER go back here again. Super unprofessional and uncaring on their part. 1 star only bc I had to pick it to be able to post. read more

First time at mint and everyone was so friendly! They really make you feel comfortable while being here. Just here for a yearly cleaning and everything was great! I like that they try to keep you comfortable by playing your choice of music or favorite Netflix show. I also really like the that they off teeth whitening when you get a cleaning. DO NOT GO HERE. I went based on their radio commercials thinking it was going to be wonderful. Quite the opposite. I was told they had a "special" going on that would include a checkup and cleaning for $35. After waiting almost 30 minutes they tell me that I have 11 cavities. I have never had a cavity in my life!!! I knew something was up. Then they told me I would have to pay $100 something more to get a cleaning. What the heck??! I ended up goIng to another dentist in town and they said they have seen multiple people come from Mint with outrageous assessments. BEWARE they just want your money. read more

Unsatisfactory experience. Initially, I saw Dr. Shattock, he was kind and I felt comfortable they would do a great job for me in obtaining dentures on the top. Then Dr. Shattock left the Burleson location and my care from Mint Dentistry went downhill, one issue after another. They have made me two dentures, neither have fit properly. The denture I have now is uncomfortable, hurt when I put them in, have no suction, don't line up with my bottom teeth, so I'm unable to eat with them because they move and fall out when I try to eat. After attempting to wear the denture for a week, they did a temporary alignment that was suppose to be for six weeks, it did not work. Then I was told there was nothing further they could do unless I wanted to pay more money ??? and still no guarantee. They were nice initially, now they are rude and not wanting to make good on there statement of customer satisfaction. First, Mint was recommended to me by my daughter after relocating to TX. However, the front office staff turned out to be rude and unwelcoming. No issue in the beginning because customer service is questionable at most businesses these days and it was about me getting dental and ortho service. I requested a night guard that took several months and phone calls to get to the point of threat to contact their HQ office. Once I received the night guard, it broke and cracked within 3 months. Requesting another, it was suggested upon visual review that it wasn't their product though the staff member told me they were having issues with the company and its service. During my July visit, I told the hygienist I would not be returning. Thereafter, I received my replacement night guard that followed with an appointment being scheduled after I explicitly stated I wouldn't return for any service. Because a $50 charge could follow, I had to waste time getting that appointment canceled wherein I had to ask whether the action was completed even after responding to text messages on the issue prior to. This location is awful and truly doesn't care about their level of service to the public. Please beware! read more

I went in for a deep cleaning and replacement of a crown. Everyone is very nice, explaining all parts of the procedure. The procedure went smooth today. The massage chairs help put Mint above the rest. I will definitely be back and will tell friends and family. Great job Mint! read more

First and foremost this has been the worst dental experience I've ever had. I went in September 11 for my checkup/ cleaning. I was told I needed fillings, I wasn't having any toothaches or problems at the moment. But I trusted the dentist and moved forward with her recommendation and did my fillings. I was having a little bit of anxiety so she broke down what needed to be done in 2 visits. On Friday the 11th she did 2 on the upper left side and one on the bottom left. On Monday she did 3 on my front top teeth and 1 on my upper right. Monday when I returned I was already feeling a dull throbbing pain on the upper left area she had done on Friday. She told me it was part of the healing process and was normal. I went on about my day and the pain did not subside. Here I am 3 weeks later with the same ache! Since then, I've been back in the office maybe 3-4 times for "bite adjustments" which have not been helpful. I feel like each visit continues to get worse. She ended up referring me to a specialist at another location for "root canal therapy", so now I'm needing additional work done when I didn't have a problem to begin with. It's insane how terrible this has been. Not only that, but the quality of work is horrible. I don't like how the work done on my front teeth feels. It's super bulky and tacky. Feels like someone just slapped concrete on there. She "polished" the area but it still doesn't feel right. When I floss, it's super rough and the floss ends up tearing. She also "polished" on the lower part of my tooth, now it feels super thin and sharp. I'm afraid to bite into something like a piece of candy, it feels like my tooth will break if I did that! I am so unhappy with the experience. Lastly, I'm not even able to schedule the specialist appointment for that root canal she is now suggesting. After calling different numbers and given the run around, turns out the closet location isn't 10 minutes away like I was told, but is about an hour away from me. I now have to find a different dental office to fix another drs work. It isn't fair to myself, the new dentist, or my pockets! STAY AWAY FROM MINT! id give them 0 stars if I could. The only reason they have TONS of great reviews is because they give you an extra teeth whitening syringe if you leave a good review. Oh and by the way, they will charge you and your insurance for anything they can get their hands on! I'm surprise they didn't charge me for the air I was breathing. This place is a JOKE! read more

I'll be honest.. I dreaded going to the dentist but knew it needed to be done. My experience today was great! Yazmin greeted me with a smile the second I walked in the door. Lula called me back within a couple of minutes and was so informative about every step of the process. She offered Netflix or Pandora while I waited and made sure I was able to utilize the massage chair in the exam room. Victoria was fast and efficient in getting my teeth cleaned. Dr. Mendoza was very nice and thorough through the entire appointment. Being a new patient and having PPO insurance, I got an awesome goodie bag to take home full of great items! My teeth look so much better and feel so much better. I'm actually looking forward to going back in 6 months! read more
