Burlap and Beams was the perfect venue for our summer wedding! The scenery is unbelievable; from the beautiful mountains in the background as we said our vows under the greenery filled arch, to the spacious patio where we had our first dance, the charming, rustic barns where our guests enjoyed the celebration, and of course the incredible gardens and landscaping. All of the perfectly curated spaces make for incredible pictures, which was something that was very important to us when choosing a venue. We were able to have our first look by the secluded creek on property, and we took photos posing in and around the beautiful barns and gardens. The owner, Terri, was so easy to work with and was very accomodating. You can tell how much she truly takes pride in making every couple's day the best it can be. The attention to detail that she has put into the venue is amazing, and that really makes it a one of a kind place to have a wedding. All of our guests were amazed at how absolutely stunning the venue was (with minimal decor provided by us). We looked at many venues prior to finding Burlap and Beams, and one thing that really struck us was how impersonal and bare they all seemed to be, and how much work we would need to put into decorating them. When we first toured the barns, we could see ourselves getting married there just the way it was. Everything was so beautiful just as it was! We also love the layout of the venue. It has such a great flow to it! We were able to use the second barn as a whiskey bar and have a bonfire (complete with s'mores) after dinner. Our party of 140 guests never felt cramped or crowded as people were able to spread out to the different areas during the reception. The bridal barn was a perfect space for me and my bridesmaids to get ready in, complete with a big couch and chairs that were great for taking photos on, while my husband and the groomsmen enjoyed hanging out in the second barn prior to the ceremony. My husband and I got married at Burlap and Beams in June 2018! I do not know where to even begin with how magical and perfect our wedding day was! Burlap and Beams is such a fairy tale wedding venue and if you want a unique not "cookie cutter" wedding, then have it here! Our guest are still talking about how beautiful the grounds were with breathtaking views! We cannot stop looking at our photos and just remembering how amazing our day was! When looking for where we wanted our wedding we stumbled on Burlap and Beams and instantly fell in love. From the view during the ceremony, to the dinner tent, to fire pit, barn, and so much more it was perfect! There was so many fun moments we had at our wedding and it is a big thanks to Burlap and Beams! The variety at this venue made it so every guest could have their perfect day! Our guests were able to dance in the barn, eat in the dinner tent, play corn hole, jenga, and bocce, make a smore at the fire pit, or sit in the groomsmen's suite to talk. It was literally a fairy tale wedding! Terri is the owner of the grounds and she is absolutely amazing! We booked our wedding day about a year before the big day and she was always helpful with any questions/concerns we had! She really helped make everything perfect and her suggested vendors list was perfect for us since we live in Philadelphia! She helped eased our mind with so much during the planning the process!! Burlap and Beams was the perfect venue for our wedding! From the beautiful rustic barns, to the mountainous backdrop, to the wonderful landscaping, everything was gorgeous! Everything leading up to our wedding went very smoothly. We booked last minute, one of the last dates available for 2018. Terri was very accommodating, especially since we had such a short amount of time to book all of our vendors. She was very responsive whenever I had questions, both via email and text message. Don't let the initial 'rules and regulations' that she has in place scare you away. Everything that is asked of those attending or working the event are all in place to keep this wonderful venue the way it is....wonderful! The barns and outdoor spaces all have beautiful decor, which allowed us not only to save money but time as well. There was no need to worry about decorations as everything she has already in place is amazing. There are so many special places to take pictures. The newly renovated bar area was top notch. The lighting and flower arrangement above the bar, the bar top and the canoe hanging on the wall were all nice touches. She does a wonderful job keeping the place beautiful. We were one of the unlucky...or lucky....couples to have it rain during our outdoor ceremony. As a result of this we instantly needed a new plan to move the ceremony into the large barn. This was done without a hitch....other than being wet! Terri came to check on me to be sure I wasn't having a meltdown. This just goes to show you what a wonderful person she truly is. A total hidden gem -- we're still dreaming about it! We stumbled upon The Promise Gardens online while searching for Lake George wedding venues, and despite never having heard of it before, the moment I stepped onto the property (in the middle of winter, no less), I just knew -- this was the one. And once wedding season rolled around? It was even more magical than we imagined. The venue is absolutely stunning. You get everything that makes the Adirondacks so special all in one place -- so close to Lake George, gorgeous mountains as your backdrop, dreamy barns, and hydrangeas everywhere. Our guests were blown away -- we heard over and over, "Wait, how did you find this place?!" Beyond the beauty, the way the venue flows is so thoughtful -- there's a perfect, natural progression from ceremony to cocktail hour to dinner to dancing, each in its own unique space. It makes the entire night feel exciting and seamless. Terri, the owner, clearly pours so much love into the property. She and her team were kind, responsive, and genuinely lovely to work with from start to finish. You can tell she cares deeply -- not just about the land, but about the couples who get married there. And from what we saw, it just keeps getting better every year. Our daughter was recently wed at Burlap and Beams; it was perfect in every way. The outdoor setting was beautiful, with the Three Sisters mountains witnessing the ceremony and the celebration. The barns are decorated Country Chic with just the right touches that they fit seamlessly into the event. The landscaping is beautiful, with every plant and blossom belonging just where they are. It is evident that every detail has been thoughtfully planned by the proprietor, Terri. She is so thoughtful about the needs her clients! From the first communication between us (daughter, son-in-law and parents) to the post-wedding pick-up; Terri has been professional, positive, helpful, informative and supportive of the couple's decisions. Her communications via text, email and phone have been prompt and I have to say with all positive emphasis, that when we needed trouble-shooting and assistance with the pre-wedding planning; Terri was extremely helpful with the problem solving. (The vendor she recommended actually said "We love working with Terri...we will make it happen for you.") The weather was perfect for our June 25 celebration. If it had not been, we still would have had a great time as Burlap and Beams is well prepared for the weather. As soon as we looked at the website, we were sold on Burlap & Beams! And even more so when we visited Terri's property for a tour. Throughout the process, Terri was responsive and helpful with any inquiries we had. We knew we wanted a barn wedding and were impressed when we saw what Terri's package included. Many barns require several additional vendors, but because Terri's included tables, dinner chairs, ceremony chairs, the arbor, the stunning lighting all over the property, the dinner tent, etc., we felt the price was a great value. We used mostly her preferred vendors and that helped everything come together so smoothly. Terri's venue is truly unique and gave our guests an experience they would never have had anywhere else - our guests were able to dance when they wanted to, take a break outside or in one of the smaller barns (and get a break from the heat!), play some cornhole, or sit at the firepit - this provided exactly the relaxed, but still elegant event we were looking for. Tip: highly recommend hiring a wedding coordinator for this venue. This helped all the vendors stay on the same page and ensured that Terri's property was left the way we found it (so we didn't have to worry about it!). As a previous bride and three time wedding quest at Burlap and Beams, I speak from experience when I say that this wedding venue and the management, specifically Terri, are simply amazing! With the beauty of the Adirondack backdrop, charming barns, impeccable decor and lighting... my wedding memories and pictures are a treasure that exceeded our expectations. With Terri's experience and knowledge she was able to guide me through a flawless and gorgeous reception. My husband and I were married at Burlap and Beams almost 2 weeks ago Saturday. Though I knew our wedding would be incredible, it was beyond that! Having the Adirondacks as the backdrop as we exchanged our vows, provided the most breathtaking and picturesque views! The Barns provided the most beautiful rustic feels that kept everyone gasping! We included lawn games, a whiskey bar, and a food truck, which Terri welcomed without reservation! Having so many different spaces to utilize allowed guest to roam and gather where they felt comfortable! We just had our wedding this past weekend (May 13th, 2017) at Burlap and Beams and it was absolutely amazing! Even though the weather was mid 50s and rainy, everyone who attended said how beautiful the venue was! Terri, the owner, made sure that there were heaters in the bridal suite, tent, and even the patio, which definitely made a difference for anyone who needed to warm up. Terri has been such a pleasure to work with throughout the whole process! She worked SO hard to make sure the venue was organized and presentable for our big day. Every time we visited the venue, we noticed more wonderful additions to the barns, tent, grounds, etc.- she is continuously adding more! Burlap and Beams was the absolute perfect place to get married! We had our wedding this October when the leaves were in full color - the perfect backdrop to the ceremony. The entire venue is absolutely gorgeous - the barns are full of beautiful lights and fun country, rustic details.
