Three Sisters Sanctuary - A weathered wooden building decorated with metal art and sculptures, featuring a sign for a sanctuary and mercantile, with a figure of a girl on the roof.

Found this place on my phone when I was in the area. Had no idea what it even was. Pulled up right at 8AM when they "open" so I was the only person there, which I loved! I did meet the owner/artist and he was very nice. Very peaceful property and I bet it's beautiful in the fall when the leaves are still on the trees. The house is also an AirBnB and I could imagine staying there.

5 stars for the most charming, weirdest and coolest place around. This has been on my list for a while and I finally made it. It's a collection of over 20 years of art. There is so much to see that you can't possibly take it in on one visit. Sculptures, mosaic arts, glass, rocks, butterflies, a labyrinth ,etc. It is a special place and I'm grateful that the artist/owner/creator shares his gem and creativity with the public. You won't regret visiting! And if you go, stop by the nearby Williamsburg General Store for ice cream afterwards.

For a $10 donation visit three sisters for a treat of incredulous creativity including sculptures and figurines and fields of indescribable scenes especially Halloween perfect visuals- Markedly visual and trippy and photogenic.

Beautiful place with very friendly people! Creative interplay with nature and art. We met one of the 3 Sisters and she very helpful and thankful we came. Spread the word about a fun little place to inspire you!

This entire place is so whimsical and relaxing. As we were leaving, a gentle rain started to follow and instead of deter from it, it added to the magical nature of our journey through the paths.

Located in the village of Florence, the 150 acres of land were given to the City of Northampton by Mrs. Fannie Burr Look (widow of Frank Newhall Look). Mr. Look had been a long-time resident of Northampton and the chief executive of the Prophylactic Brush Company. Operation and maintenance are dependent upon the trust fund, visitor fees, grants, and gifts. Owned by the city but operated as a non-profit organization, Look Park receives no funding from the city or state. The park contains a number of notable features including walking paths, an outdoor amphitheater, tennis courts, baseball and softball diamonds, a miniature golf course, paddle boats, playscapes, a spray park, a wildlife center, a sweet shoppe, covered picnic areas, covered bridges, and a miniature railway. I recently visited Look Memorial Park with my family. I first visited the park last summer with my older son. We had so much fun that we decided to return this year with my wife and younger son. We first set out to visit the park's 5,000-square-foot spray park. It was a hot day and my two sons had a blast exploring the various ground jets, bucket dumps and water umbrellas. After a change of clothes, we explored one of the playscapes and the wildlife center. What we were most looking forward to was a ride on the park's miniature steamer train. Manufactured by Wichita, Kansas-based Chance Rides, the miniature train is a replica of the circa-1863 C.P. Huntington steam locomotive. The train runs every half hour on the weekends and rides last about 10 minutes. The train is transformed into 'Santa's Train' during the Christmas holiday season and it can also be rented for birthday parties. The train ride was easily the highlight of our park visit. We look forward to visiting Look Memorial Park again and again!

I wish management would be more proactive about notifying incoming guests that many park services are closed before paying to get in. We also went to the sweet shop to get root beer floats, and paid $11 for two root beer floats that were actually half full. I would recommend the place for people looking to enjoy the scenery, but apart from that the experience was lacking.

This year they are going to be rebuilding the dam at the end of the lake, so that should be worth exploring next year. Last year, we learned how to sail, which was a real treat. We were in the correct season to get to be able to pick fresh wild blueberries from our kayaks!! We made a great syrup with them, and had it over ice cream...yummmm. ====================================================== In response to the person that has trouble with stairs: I think all the cabins have some amount of stairs, the white one has the fewest (maybe one?). In order to get down to the lake, YOU DO NOT HAVE TO USE ANY STAIRS. My mother-in-law has bad hips, and she doesn't use the stairs. All you have to do is either go around the house to the right, or walk all the way to the left in front of the green cabin, and there are NO STAIRS. The lawn is very gradually sloped on both of those paths. You can even get to the lake by walking directly in front of their porch...without stairs. Look at picture number two (that I took years ago), there are NO STAIRS under the flag on the left OR near the small red tree on on the right. The stairs mentioned are directly in the center of the picture under the arch.

We swam, kayaked, grilled every night, played with our dog (yes, they are extremely dog friendly) and just relaxed by the lake and in our cozy cottage. It's close to so many great places to visit and enjoy (Northampton, the Berkshires, DAR State forest), yet far enough away to indulge in a little pastoral solitude. We can't wait to return!
