She gave us lists of preferred vendors to choose from, she gave us good questions to ask them, she advised us when we asked, but ultimately let us make our own choices. She was 100% willing to look at any other vendors not on her lists, as well. She made sure we were well informed and comfortable with our choices, but that they were our own, not influenced elsewhere. I found her very helpful with small things especially closer to the wedding. Tons of little questions cropped up and Pam was always on it, she reached out to our venue for us and got us answers so we could focus on other things. The day of the wedding she was amazing. As the bride, I had to worry about nothing. She understood what I asked for and made sure it was all set up--and it was! No issues, no mistakes, no problems, everything ran completely smoothly, largely thanks to Pam's presence and help. Cost-wise, very affordable. I pictured a planner to be MUCH more expensive than Pam is (especially when you're dealing with wedding prices, ho boy!) She has a simple down payment and contract, and final payment due closer to day of. All payments and paperwork were handled well and expediently. In the end, she often says "it's whatever you want!" and she truly works to make that happen.

Pam was also present the day of the wedding to ensure that the event went as smoothly as possible, and made herself available to the couple for anything they needed during the event. Pam's enthusiasm and sheer excitement for event planning was very evident, and it was clear she had a big passion for what she does. It was not hard to notice that Pam was very easy going and a go with the flow kind of person, and enjoys planning any kind of event.

We live in Arizona and planned to get married in Rhode Island while on a 2 week family vacation…read morewith our 3 boys. We found Ken online along with several other Rabbi's. We interviewed 3-4 and knew immediately - knew literally on the call with him - that he was the right Rabbi for us. Why? Ken is relaxed, personable, friendly, knowledgeable, experienced, caring, educated, flexible, thoughtful, funny and genuine. I could likely add more adjectives to describe him, but you get the idea - he's a terrific person, not just Rabbi, a great human being. Although we had never met in person or even seen each other via skype, he simply made us feel relaxed and comfortable. This is what we wanted. Ken was available to talk on the phone anytime we wanted prior to the wedding. We spoke 2 or 3 times and always laughed and shared and got to know each other a bit more. We actually couldn't wait to meet him in person. We met for the first time in person the day of our wedding at a beautiful, windy ocean overlook in a state park in Rhode Island. The location was incredible; phenomenal suggestion from our photographer. Meeting Ken in person for the first time was like meeting an old friend. We didn't know him, but we knew him, ya know? He spent several minutes alone with our 3 boys getting to know them while my wife and I spoke with the photographer (who was also AMAZING!!). Ken and the boys had instant connections and it was clear that Ken was genuinely interested in who they each were as individuals and brothers. He really wanted to understand them, their relationships and their feelings. The ceremony itself was fantastic!! It was intimate, just my wife, me, our 3 boys, Ken and the photographer - so we weren't worried about impressing anyone and weren't looking for our ceremony to be extremely serious and formal. We simply wanted to be together as a family, to smile a lot, to laugh, to be happy, to feel the emotion, to feel the significance and meaning for our family and in the eyes of God, and to relax and enjoy - and we did. A big part of the success was Ken's genuine care for us and for what we wanted. The chuppah, which Ken brought for us since he knew we were traveling 2,600 miles to be there, and our kippot were determined to sail off into the ocean in the gentle (not!) "breeze" (wind). We all got a good chuckle and got some good pictures with the chuppah before we folded it up and put it away prior to the ceremony. Hey, you can't control Mother Nature, right? So we rolled with it, all good. Ken also offered to supply us with the Kiddush cup and wine being that we were only in NH for the day. Super thoughtful and generous of him - a truly considerate and caring person! Ken's style is what I would call genuine, caring, enthusiastic, emotional and real. He arrived on time, knew exactly what we wanted from our previous emails, texts and phone calls, stayed with us and never made us feel rushed, put his own heart and personality into the service, he even got a little choked up. He went with us for additional photos and to sign the ketubah. He honestly contributed greatly to the whole event being happy, peaceful, emotional, funny, relaxed and everything we could have hoped for. If I were again to choose a Rabbi for our wedding, or any wedding, even though I am certain others are great, I'd pick Ken 100 out of 100 times. Truly, he, and our photographer, were the absolute best choices we could have made, hands down.

It was fun to figure out the best ceremony format for us with Ken, he explained everything in detail, and was always available for a chat. The ketubah signing and the ceremony itself were made complete by Rabbi Ken. He made every single guest feel thoroughly included and he ensured everyone understood everything he was doing and why. It was truly a pleasure to work with Ken and this was clearly evidenced by the numerous compliments I received all night long on the 'cool,' 'smart,' and 'eloquent' Rabbi we found! I wouldn't have had it any other way! We wholeheartedly recommend Rabbi Ken as he is a wonderful, caring, and charming wedding officiant.

At a time when my partner and I were starting to feel pretty overwhelmed by the wedding-planning process coming to a head, Shannon helped us pull everything together and brought order to our chaos in a way that was kind, considerate and always respected what we wanted for our wedding day. Her organization was a life-saver, as was her coordination with our many vendors. It was a great weight off of our shoulders to have someone we trusted completely take care of the contact with our vendors in the final weeks. Shannon also has a really wonderful way about her. Through the planning and on the day of the wedding, Shannon was a calming presence and was also very efficient and got everything done in a way that appears effortless but that I know must, in fact, take great effort on her part. It is a true mark of her professionalism, as a wedding planner, that she is able to both get everything done in an efficient way, keep track of absolutely everything and seem calm and collected during all of our interactions, including on the wedding day. My now husband and I couldn't be happier with our choice to hire Shannon and with Shannon's incredible work on our wedding. We only wish that we had hired Shannon to be our complete wedding planner, when we first started to plan, rather than our day-of wedding coordinator near the end of the planning process; having Shannon on-board throughout the wedding planning process, would have made it smoother and more enjoyable for us. I would highly recommend Shannon to anyone looking to hire an event coordinator; she was an absolute pleasure to work with!

We were very unhappy with the DJ but happy with the Photo Booth set up and staff. My husband and I had DJ Craig for our wedding in September 2023. We had two meetings with him beforehand were we discussed how we would like the night to run. In addition to a list of "must-play" songs (something we were encouraged to complete), we discussed how we would like our table-dash, anniversary dance, alumni photo, and private dance to operate. We also noted on multiple occasions during both calls that we DID NOT want a lot of remixes. Unfortunately, we were disappointed with how DJ Craig managed all of these aspects except for the table dash and private dance. Here is where our issues lie: - Out of our 30 or so must play songs maybe half were played. - As laid out on the Marx Entertainment website we chose a "last song" for the dance floor. DJ Craig played the song we designated as our last song as a way to open the dance floor. - The first 30 minutes were exclusively remixes and bad ones at that. It got to the point where we said something to DJ Craig, and while the music did get better, he still continued to play remixes. Honestly, a Spotify playlist would have been better. - The anniversary dance was something DJ Craig suggested and we loved the idea. However, instead of doing what he had described to us where he starts calling people off the dance floor after some dancing and starting with short time increments, DJ Craig called for anyone married for less than 5 years to leave the dance floor after approximately 20 seconds. People hadn't even REACHED the dance floor to start dancing at that point, including the parents of the groom. Not to mention we are a young couple and that kicked more than half of the people off the dance floor in one sweep. - College alumni photo was announced at a very weird time and very rushed. Just felt awkward - We were immediately asked once the lights turned on to provide a positive video review for DJ Craig. This was extremely uncomfortable and we gave dishonest feedback during it. We would NOT recommend him. Like I said previously, the Photo Booth staff was excellent and we loved the book they made us. We also had no issues with booking or prior communication with Marx. While the set up and logistical execution of the event went well we didn't feel our opinions were considered at all in song selection and that the fun mini-events we had throughout the night went poorly
