It can be so hard to order a bouquet from a florist you don't know in a city you don't live in (as I did); I often submit to dated looking, cookie cutter, FTD bouquets that are nothing more than sufficient. She made sure we were well informed and comfortable with our choices, but that they were our own, not influenced elsewhere. I found her very helpful with small things especially closer to the wedding. Tons of little questions cropped up and Pam was always on it, she reached out to our venue for us and got us answers so we could focus on other things. The day of the wedding she was amazing. As the bride, I had to worry about nothing. She understood what I asked for and made sure it was all set up--and it was! No issues, no mistakes, no problems, everything ran completely smoothly, largely thanks to Pam's presence and help. Cost-wise, very affordable. I pictured a planner to be MUCH more expensive than Pam is (especially when you're dealing with wedding prices, ho boy!) She has a simple down payment and contract, and final payment due closer to day of. All payments and paperwork were handled well and expediently. Brian was flexible, willing to listen and shoot any ideas that were given to him. I bought a family photo shoot from my wife as a birthday present. It was a last minute birthday…read moregift as I did not know what to get her. I found his website from a google search and I am glad I did. It was easy to pay for a session on-line. Then I printed a copy of his homepage and put it in a birthday card. The next day I got a call from Brian saying he had received payment for a family session. He then asked me what I was looking for. We decided on going to Look Park for the shoot as we like the outdoors; we got married there too so it was fitting. We made an appointment to meet at the park at noon. My family and I arrived at the garden house parking lot at 11:50. Brian drove into the lot at 11:52; he had already driven around the park to scope out some places that would make for good pictures. He was very punctual. We brought a few of our son's favorite stuffed toys and a blanket. Brian opened his trunk and surprised us with a set of balloons and a cute wooden chair for him to sit it. That was cool. We made the plan of parking by the visitors center and we would walk the loop of the park and take pictures as we go. We did not want a lot of posed pictures; we wanted more casual and laid back ones. Brian was very good at giving us that little bit of direction that made the photos look so much better. He listened to what we wanted and he helped us get exactly what we wanted. He seemed very knowledgeable about photography. I don't know much about photography, but he would explain to us the different lighting of the sun and knew what scenes made the best pictures. Brian was fun to work with, easy to communicate with (email, over the phone and in person) and he knew what he was doing. We really love his website. All the photos are available for everyone to see and you can buy all sorts of things with the pictures on them (prints of all sizes, coffee mugs, cards, shirts, stamps etc.) I highly recommend Brian for your photo needs.

I believe this closes at sunset but I've been out here at sunrise and it's been pretty quiet until 9:30 am or so. There are a few walking trails and the docks/front of the boathouse (the cement areas) do flood during heavy rain. Definitely a Glastonbury community symbol... :) Lots of kids fishing on the dock/by the river. Playground on the premises & then the Glastonbury parks and rec manages the fields behind the clubhouse. I've been here when there was a wedding and it seemed intimate and romantic. I'm a big fan of this spot!
