Tom did the flowers for my destination wedding and I couldn't be more pleased. From our initial consultation he got my vision (ethereal, natural, organic) and I couldn't have dreamed the results we got! The bouquets for me and my bridesmaids were unbelievable and I was in awe when I saw how he transformed the reception space. His prices are fair and his work is gorgeous, innovative, and fit for a high end event in a city. It was Valentine's Day and I had not made arrangements for flowers for my wife. I stopped in here because it was across the street from my dentist's office, where I had just had a procedure, and well-rated on Yelp. I met Tom, gave him my budget and some guidelines, and checked some nearby shops while I waited. Fifteen minutes later Tom came through with a huge, beautiful, creatively arranged bouquet of cut flowers. I was very impressed, and so, most importantly, was my wife. Thanks to my fellow yelp-ers I chose Floral Concepts to send flowers to my sister-in-law who just had a baby. I don't live in the area and didn't know who was reputable - I've been burned too many times using FTD or Telefloral so I'm done with that method. I believe I spoke to Tom on the phone and explained what I was looking for, he was kind and very helpful and the flowers were delivered quickly! I had my father-in-law take a picture of the flowers since I wouldn't be seeing them first hand (I wanted to be sure she got quality) and I was very happy with the final product. Floral Concepts by Tom receives a five star rating for many reasons. After purchasing and receiving many of his arrangements and bouquets over the past few years I am compelled to write a review. The arrangements are always unique and very memorable. He is an outstanding artist that stands behind his work. My birthday arrangement of Stargazer Lilies in pink and white were accompanied by lavender and white flowers on tall stems and large polished green leaves that are absolutely stunning. Most importantly, he uses the freshest flowers which is substantiated by the fact that the arrangement one week and two days later becomes more beautiful each day and is absolutely gorgeous! I called Floral Concepts by Tom to make an appointment to discuss my upcoming wedding and floral arrangements. Before I could get in half a sentence, the owner screamed, "Girlfriend, we are not in the business to cater to bridezillas who wait until the last minute." Then, he hung up. Please note, I had not even been given the opportunity to tell the date, nor what I was looking for, which was 5 simple bouquets and 15 simple centerpieces (I just needed the flowers for the centerpieces). Tom has no customer service skills and was very rude. I will never give him my business. Went in to buy a candle w an attached flowers arrangement and from the moment I started asking him questions he was rude. Every question I asked he seemed annoyed at. I went to coopers to buy the candle and questioned why I was continuing buying from him but did anyway. When I brought the flower/candle arrangement to my friends (her mother died) she opened the wrapped arrangement and it was broken. The flowers were not glued to the candle top. I called Tom and he was rude again w no personality and he said I bought the wrong candle. I said why didn't you tell me it was the wrong candle? He says I don't have to tell you anything. He also said "it was how it was was when you picked it up ". The arrangement was wrapped in cellophane and ribbon, I couldn't see that it was not glued. A very unpleasant man to deal with. read more

I needed a Mother's Day gift but wanted something other than the typical hanging plant so on Saturday my fiancé and I went to a local gift shop in Agawam to find something. When we got there we realized that there was a Florist in the same building so we stopped in and were we glad we did. First of all we were so impressed with the shop itself...very uniquely decorated. Its a small space but every inch of it is creatively used. The owner, Tom waited on us and not only was he extremely knowledgeable about his product but he was very patient as we were having some difficulty choosing from the many creative things he had. We finally decided on a miniature fairy garden that we were able to go into the gift shop next door (Cooper's) and customize it with their large selection of miniature everything! It was a very busy day and we felt bad for monopolizing so much of his time when he had so much going on and we were so indecisive but he was so patient and helped us until we found the perfect gift. Needless to say the miniature garden was the hit of the day! Everyone raved about it, which made us feel great. I just want to say thank you to Tom for helping us, he is a consummate professional who certainly knows his business and how to help someone find the perfect gift.
