I am absolutely devastated and furious. I wish I could give negative stars to this negligent establishment. I entrusted this dry cleaner with my $4,000 wedding dress -- not just an expensive garment, but the most sentimental piece of clothing I will ever own. I dreamed of preserving it beautifully so that one day I could pass it down to my daughter. That dream is gone because of their negligence. The intricate beading and delicate detailing that made my gown so special were completely destroyed after they cleaned it. This wasn't minor damage; the entire dress was ruined -- it looks as though it was treated with zero expertise or caution. Anyone with even basic knowledge of bridal fabrics knows how delicate embellishments are. The fact that they ruined them so thoroughly is inexcusable. Not only that, the company did not inform me of the damage and took zero accountability -- they actually told me it was my fault for not checking that the gown had been cleaned properly upon pickup. I initially had my dress cleaned through Burkes, and after having a daughter, I decided I wanted to get it preserved for her one day. When I opened the dry cleaning bag to ensure all the pieces were there for preservation, I saw the damage Burke Cleaners had done, and I felt sick. Years from now, I had imagined pulling that dress out, showing my daughter, and watching her try it on. Instead, I now have a ruined, damaged reminder of what used to be a beautiful heirloom. And the worst part? Absolutely no accountability -- then or now. After seeing the damage, I immediately called the Area Manager, Danielle. The moment I informed her of what happened and how heartbroken I was, I was met with aggression and extreme rudeness. She spent 90% of the call telling me I was lying about the dress being sentimental to me and about my hopes of passing it down to my daughter. It was the most disorienting, disheartening, and alarming conversation I've ever had. To be met in such an emotional moment with harshness, condemnation, and a severe lack of sympathy was truly astounding. Any company that treats customers like that does not deserve our trust. There was no apology, no accountability, and no understanding of how devastating this was. I would NOT recommend taking any piece of clothing to this establishment. The severe lack of integrity, attention to detail, ownership, care, and plain kindness demonstrated by the dry cleaning team and their management deserves no trust. On top of that, the fact that they don't inspect -- and even photograph -- a garment with that level of sentimental and monetary value before and after cleaning is absolutely insane. I love the modern touches that Burke Cleaners offers! They have a fully self-serve check in and pick up process, while still having employees on duty during normal business hours to assist with questions and get you set up. I brought in two flannels, one of which had some holes in it, and they were both handled very well. The damage to the one flannel was documented which made me feel comfortable that they pay attention to the items they clean. The staff member who helped me was kind and helpful and my items were done on time, with automated notification that they were ready. I love that you can pick up any time! read more

This is a budget dry cleaner for people who don't care about their clothing. They apply permanent heat transfer labels with barcodes to your clothing (without asking) and don't care about destroying your clothes. I wrote them privately to voice my concerns and their employee was combative, defensive and outright rude. Telling me "it must be your first time dry cleaning your clothes" and that ruining my clothes is "industry practice." If you care about your clothes at all, don't take it here. It's basically an automated high volume laundry machine, aside from the fact you get your clothes back in worse shape than when you left it. It baffles me that any business would think it's ok to permanently change something that doesn't belong to them. Imagine taking your car to the mechanic and getting it back with bumper stickers with barcodes applied to it! There's no logic and they are obviously putting their tracking concerns above customer satisfaction. I will never take my clothes there again. Now I need to figure out how to remove these labels from my 8 shirts. They were no help when I asked them how to do it. I pray for anyone who has to deal with Jeff who works there...he was the antithesis of helpful. People like that should not be in customer service. read more

The person answering my chat questions the night before gave me inaccurate info. The gal explaining the drop-off system to me the next morning seemed annoyed and curt. And then the tuxedo shirt was pressed *incorrectly* (collar tips pressed straight up like a vampire) and we had to try and rig a fix, which didn't really work. PLEASE READ BEFORE TRUSTING BURKE CLEANERS WITH YOUR CLOTHING I've used Burke three times now, each time giving them a chance to redeem themselves and each time regretting it. My first time using them resulted in a stain on a white silk blouse, and it wasn't the last time I got something back in worse shape than when I brought it in.  However, Burke did the right thing and cleaned it properly at no additional charge, so I decided to give them another shot. The second time, without telling or asking me, they applied iron-on barcode tags that destroyed the labels of my garments.  These tags are impossible to remove by yourself and leave permanent stains if you ask Burke to take them off.  While most customers probably wouldn't be bothered by the tags, if you own high-end or designer clothing, the label is essential to reselling the garments should you choose to do so.  I requested that a note be put in my customer profile stating the tags should never be applied to my garments again ... and I decided to give them another shot. Big mistake. My third and final time resulted in a $300 cashmere sweater being ruined.  I asked Burke to de-pill the sweater, the pills being on the inner sleeves only, where the arms meet the sides of the body.  The sweater came back with pills over its entire surface.  It looks horrible and feels even worse: rough to the touch, unlike cashmere ever should.  On top of that, an employee called shortly after my garments were dropped off to say that they did not read the note in my profile and again applied the barcode tags.  Yes, they removed them after realizing their mistake, but now my entire wardrobe is permanently stained. Burke runs on an almost fully automated system, and when human employees happen to be there, they generally don't like being asked questions or given instructions for your order.  I imagine this is why Burke does such an abysmal job and it may explain their high prices.  Once you take the interaction with your customers out of the equation, mistakes are bound to happen.  No, I don't want to communicate with a robot; I want actual customer service and I want my clothing not to be ruined. Think twice before trusting Burke with your clothes. read more

It would be very helpful to your customers if the general prices were available online. The explanation for why they are not online when I asked was that taxes change. An easy work around would be the general price with a "plus tax" added on. You could even write "prices are estimates and subject to change." At the very least, for new customers you should provide the total cost to them at drop off. Paying before/after is not a concern. I was shocked when I went to pick up my items and was told the price would be $70 for 8 items. I was helped out with a coupon, bringing the total down to $55. $70 for 8 items is more than I have ever had to pay at a dry cleaners in Northern Colorado and was completely unexpected. I chose Burke because it had high reviews, but I left with a bad taste in my mouth. read more

I took a small table cloth from Belgium in to have it pressed. When I got it back they had added wrinkles and pressed the wrinkles in. They also attached a tag with a pin that has left holes. Do Not Do not take anything to these guys if you value it. read more

Very disappointed. I took in a dress to be dry cleaned, got it back and there were about 2-3 snags on the dress. One was about 8 inches on the backside, I gave it back hoping they could repair it. After about 2 weeks and them telling me it would be in the next day (which it never was), I finally got the dress back. The snag still wasn't fully repaired and I requested to get the money back for my ruined dress. This wasn't a cheap gown. I had to keep calling them to get an answer (clearly trying to ignore me and avoid giving me an answer). After about 2-3 calls (I was always the one reaching out, not them) the best they could do was $50 store credit, I don't even want to use them anymore due to them ruining a $250 dress. Very upset with how they handled this situation. It has been over a month of going back and forth and this was the best they could do. I will not be going back here. They told me the dress has very delicate fabric, like it was somehow my fault. That is why I took them to a cleaners in the first place. read more

The manager at this location, Sarah, is always friendly and professional, going above and beyond for her customers. I recently needed a very expensive jacket (Chanel) cleaned and unfortunately the tailor they work with sewed the buttons back on after cleaning incorrectly. Sarah personally brought the jacket back to the seamstress, made sure everything was done perfectly the second time around and even personally drove the jacket out to my house so I had it on time. Terrible! If I could give less than half a star, I would! Beware! You'll loose your clothes! This service is the worst! I just started using these people and the first week the delivery girl didn't even come to the door where my laundry was, simply gave the bag to my neighbors that were outside working and then left. When I got home and saw my laundry still there, I waited and no one came. So I called. They said they would come. Awhile later still no one h ad come. My neighbors happened to see me and gave me the bag and informed me they hadn't even come into yard yo the front door, just gave them the bag and left. By this time, after 4pm on a Friday, they had a message saying they would come on Tuesday! But hey, I could have a 15.00 credit. I called the delivery girl and had to leave a message in no uncertain terms that she was to pick and deliver directly to the front door. I would try again, after all mistakes happen. They came the following Tuesday and picked up. Laundry delivered on Friday, receipt did not show credit, item missing. So again I called them, had to leave a message. Called again, Friday afternoon. They apologized about not getting back to me. Said they would credit my next order, look for missing fish pad and get back to me. No one ever did. Then, laundry was delivered yesterday, Friday. Opened bag, someone else's clothes, only 5 items are mine, the rest are children's clothing. Of course its after closing on Friday. I called and left a message. This morning, left a message on owner's voicemail. I am so upset! There was a sweatshirt in there that delonged to my deceased father with his military badges embroidered on the chest! I cannot believe these people! Who knows if I'll ever get my items back! Or ever hear from them. I am disgusted at the way they treat customers! Absolute crap! I will be hearing something one way or another! Either they will call me or I will be finding the office of the owner and going down there until someone tracks down my damn laundry! Customer beware! A terrible business@ Update- I have now upgraded my rating to three stars. Though the owner apologized and said he would call me personally Monday morning and never did, Jacque the marketing person bent over backwards to locate and get my laundry back to me. I did recover my father's sweat shirt. Most it came back, while some items remain lost at this time. I am glad about the effort and care she took in communicating and trying to make it right. There is now a new delivery driver. Not sure if some people were fired or moved around. I will give the company another chance. read more

I have been using Burke Cleaners for ~6 years now - so I have had dozens of experiences with them. Here's why I only use Burke: 1. They pay attention to detail - like matching the length and crispness of creases for both legs. If you have a lot of slacks dry-cleaned, you know that not everybody gets this right! 2. They mended my jacket - WITHOUT my needing to ask. They didn't even make a big deal of it. I just noticed that the buttons that I needed to replace were magically there when I picked it up. 3. The staff have always been, without fail, friendly and polite. 4. They always have a coupon online (use at drop off) and will even look one up for you if you simply ask politely. 5. I would rate this a 1 star, but I've found 1 and 5 star ratings don't hold much weight sometimes. I stopped by Burke's to drop off some dry cleaning for the first time. They showed me their rates. As I had seen that they moved from a previous store, they suggested 30% off of service for visiting their new location at their previous location. When I got there, they proceeded to mention that this was for returning customers only, but they could give me 20%. Why would you advertise 30%, and then only do 20%? Also, why would you turn away new clientele when they request a service at an advertised price and they showed up at your store for that service? Their prices aren't overly reasonable to begin with. I was not impressed and they lost a potential client because of it. read more
