I did read a previous review who was upset with the night guy being African American "political" and clapping his hands just sounds like the review giver may be a racist and missing out on the conversation by pouting in the corner(posting poor reviews) and upset with others happiness and color of their skin.. sad life for them but don't let that stop you from goin in and enjoying the vibe with whoever is staffed in this clean spot to do your dirty laundry. read more

I wanted to wash a load of dog beds, crate mats, blankets, etc. and came here on a random weekday during normal 8-5 working hours when you wouldn't expect it to be busy, but EVERY washing machine was in use. I was a bit puzzled by this since there really weren't many cars in the parking lot, but I suppose since they also provide wash/dry/fold service they were using all of the machines for that reason. Would've been nice if a few machines were available for self-service. Oh well. There are other laundromats in town - won't bother coming here again. read more

It's a game of roulette whether the dryer you pick will work or not. So frustrating to have to go to a laundromat in the first place let alone going to get your laundry, thinking it's done, and it's still sopping wet. This has happened to me on many occasions. the staff is friendly though, and will activate another dryer for you free of charge. just don't do your laundry here if you have plans that day lol read more

Good, but ... try not to disturb the employees from their own task of doing laundry for "orders" from clients because they make it clear that they take precedence over customers in the store. They routinely will block you from using driers/tables they intend to use eventually, even if you'll be "out of their way" before they need the space. This happens every time I go, not just once, or I wouldn't really care, but it happens so much we don't go there anymore now. read more

Last night (5/6) I came in with my laundry quite on time to finish and leave time for the attendant to clean up before close and almost got shoved out. It's around 8pm I put in another few minutes on my already finished (36 minutes) laundry for an extra bit of dry, and I could feel the irritation of the attendant when I did that. "this motherfucker still here" is what I heard from him at the beginning of the extra dry time. He proceeded to "clean up" around me but in a very irritated manner and I felt like he entered my personal bubble multiple times. He's a really tall man, so maybe he thought I would start feeling fear and leave. His behavior was just really weird to me and I'm sure if you watch the cameras his irritability is seen through silent footage. While I was folding my laundry he even came up to the table less than two feet from me to move the tables position. It's a table at a laundromat im still using, but he came to put it in "perfect line" man this isn't the barbershop the lineup can wait until after! Mind you it's before 8:30 still. The music although was good music was super loud to where it's uncomfortable, I hit the weed a little bit I'm trying to fold laundry I'm not at the club. I didn't say anything in person because it was getting close to closing time and the last I want to do is upset him before going home but maybe he's needs to be talked to. read more

Nobody likes when their washing machine at home breaks down - it happens to the best of us. When that happens, I love having a resource like the Laundry Basket. It's not what you'd think when you hear "laundromat". Very unlike most laundry places, this place is spotless - so clean. A good size with enough space. Well-lit. Oddly quiet whenever I'm there in the morning. AMENITIES: Two single bathrooms, a quarter machine, snack/drink machine, water fountain, soap/softener dispenser, multiple chairs to sit in and wait for your laundry to finish. Different types of seating: benches, four-top tables, high-top bar stools at the front window. Music is playing softly overhead. WIFI: They have free wifi, the password is up front on the wall underneath the big plasma TV by the windows. PRICES: They have multiple washer sizes and the prices go up accordingly. The smallest "double load (2x)" washers are $4.00 per wash and are the smallest. Tuesday is Two Dollar Tuesdays, the 2x washers are half priced at $2 per load. PAYING: You can pay for your laundry cash or card, which I enjoy. I don't carry cash, and being able to use my debit card is preferable to me. If you only have bills, you can use the quarter machine. STAFF: Always friendly, available, and always doing something - mostly folding orders they have, or cleaning, you can see most of them walking around with a rag in hand. FOOD/DRINK: Dutch Brothers is across the street if you wanted coffee, you could walk from the Basket. CheebaHut next door if you're hungry. **If you're here in the winter/it's cold outside, be prepared to be cold in here. Like, layer up, even in the seats in the back. The heat is on, but people are coming/going constantly and the front door is repeatedly being opened - sometimes people hit the handicap button to open the door and it stays open for quite some time. read more

I'm never coming back here and neither should you. The owner is extremely rude and disrepectful. He yelled, at the top of his lung, at a customer to leave the store because it was past closing hours. He screamed at a customer that this is capitalism and he needs to get the fuck out right now for drying a load too late, and then proceeds to apologize once he realizes it was daylight savings and the owner was incorrect in the store hours. This laundromat has new machines in an assortment of sizes. I didn't see a single one that was out of order. The washers and dryers can be operated with coins or credit cards. The place is clean, well-outfitted with lots of rolling baskets, folding tables, and tables and chairs for sitting comfortably while waiting. It was a pleasant place to get our clothes clean and dry. I live in Cheyenne, but there are not any good laundromats there. They are old and dirty. When I drive down to Colorado every 2 or 3 weeks, I always do my laundry at the Laundry Basket in Fort Collins. The location is clean, safe, with plenty of modern machines. The employees are friendly and helpful. Today, one of them, Claire, was especially helpful. After loading the machine, I realized that I had left my wallet at home in Cheyenne. Claire did not hesitate and was able to allow me to still wash my clothes, and be billed for the service. This is a great business thanks to people like Claire and I will always come to this Laundry Basket when I need to wash my clothes. Thank you. read more

I had a lot of good experiences with the people that worked here as I washed my clothes here for about 2 years. I am a lady and kept having recurring infections if you know what I am saying, which never happens to me by the way. So I knew something was wrong. I stopped washing my clothes here, and I have not had another infection in over a year. So gross. Clean the washers! I was literally paying so much money to just have to pay more for trips to doctors, not to mention the pain and potential damage to my body. They said the bacteria was especially bad and resistant to antibiotics . read more

This is a fantastic place - clean, plenty of washers/dryers, and some tables where you can sit and wait. The machines and equipment were clean and I couldn't believe how clean the floors were! This is not the sketchy laundromat that we all see in the movies. My clothes and sheets turned out great! I actually specifically went here because a different review mentioned the signs they have - the "We believe" ones, as well as the fact that the review mentioned that customers are required to wear masks. I saw everyone wearing masks, and keeping them on as long as they were near others. As someone who wants to support small businesses while also being safe, I was thrilled to read that masks are a requirement, and the business supports human rights causes. Overall, I will absolutely be making the Laundry Basket my local, regular laundromat. read more

This is one of the cleanest and friendliest laundromats I've ever visited or used. I was able to get loads washed and folded with full service and also did some of my own laundry. In each case here, I've experienced nothing less than excellence. The full service laundry is impeccable with neatly folded and presented clothes. Each time the bags were compact, sealed professionally and well cleaned. And the turn around is excellent. I'm not sure who teaches happiness and customer service classes here but they should consult other FoCo businesses. It was truly exceptional. The machines and ease of use and cleanliness of this space (and WiFi) makes doing laundry enjoyable. Thanks for providing such a great business. I love going to this laundry mat, and love that they offer me service, and I've used it a few times, but when I don't and come in and do my laundry, I see this one girl always sitting in a chair, hardly doing anything. Once she asked if I needed anything, I had to turn away, because of the smell that came off her, turned my stomach, and walked away as I said no thanks, I've got it. But I never see any of the other girls sitting out have smelled anything from them, only her. read more

I have only tried a few laundomats in town, but this one is my go to spot. They have a whole range of washers with different capacities, which is not only handy for days you want to wash all your towels, sheets, and clothes, but it also manages to provides some serious entertainment - almost every time I've been there I end up watching some sorority/frat dips come in and dramatically dump one (tiny) load of laundry into a 4-load washer.....and then put allllll their change in. Then they mope about it. HA! Amazing! The other great feature is their spinny dry thingy (mm yes that's the technical name) For 25 cents you can whip your stuff around for 3 minutes and drastically reduce the time needed in the dryer. Genius! They are also supper nice people- the owner seems to be around a lot and the place is always clean and well kept, no broken machines. read more

Went once when I first moved here a short time ago. While very clean outwardly, they are not cleaning the washers- my clothes came out gray, dirty, and smelling of other peoples' stuff. Clearly that is a risk of a laundromat, but with regular cleaning the grayness should be eliminated. Oddly, the washers have no settings at all for different types of fabrics, and so a great deal of damage was done to several types of fabric. Also, I know its Colorado, and I love dogs, but inside a laundromat? Really? Not recommended. read more

Nice clean facility with good AC great since it's 90 degrees today. Lots of machines that take credit cards or there are also change machines inside. The lady working here was Friendly and was helpful answering my questions about which size machines to use. The location is in a small strip stopping center that has food (Cheba Hut Toasted Sandwiches) and a sports bar (Emporium) so you can do your wash, eat and drink all in on place. read more

Washers are a little expensive for me BUT there are so many that you don't need to worry about waiting for one. Lots of dryers too and they're pretty cheap. I had issues with swiping my card on the machine but they were able to give me change. Friendly, helpful staff, great facilities. In general, washers are kind of expensive but you get a lot of bang for your buck. read more

This used to be my favorite laundry mat in fort collins but the renovations really change the experience. It is dirty and over crowded (since half the washers are closed off). The lack of washers makes it difficult to do laundry and the closed off space makes it feel congested. There are no longer sinks available for hand-rinsing so I could not even rinse bleach off my hand. They do not accept card which is frustrating so the closest place to get more quarters is Kings soopers. Perhaps it will improve again after the construction is complete but until then I will be taking my business elsewhere. As for the lack of cleanliness, in my opinion there is really no excuse, renovations or not, the business should be kept clean at all times. read more

I recently used this facility. I had my laundry in a dryer, and i was standing not more than three feet away from it, when the man who operates the facility, reached into the dryer and removed the contents to a folding table. when i looked at him, he stated, "we need this dryer.". IF AND I REPEAT IF the dryer had shut off, it had just done so, as i was standing there waiting for it to shut off. He then proceeded to fold the contents, even tho three times i had assured him, i would do it myself. Since some items were not fully dried, the man placed these items into another dryer to finish drying. I did not appreciate him messing with my laundry and moving it around, as i am now missing some items. I will not use this facility again. read more

This laundromat is competitively priced. It's clean, safe and well maintained. It's also a tanning salon (cheap and low quality equipment but it works), and right next to a Cheba Hut! All of these reasons are why I have used this laundromat for years, as well as the tanning salon! In the past months I have moved across town and it takes me about 20 minutes to get there. Needless to say, when it comes to laundromats, I thought this one was worth going out of the way for, and paying slightly higher than normal prices. It should be noted i do not normally go on Sundays, like I did today. Walked in with three baskets, because I had a lot of laundry to do today! The "Manager" (not sure if it was a manager or not), does not greet me, but proceeds to greet everyone else who comes in. He greets them with familiarity that leads me to believe these are his Sunday morning "regulars," which is nice, but apparently if you're not a regular that he normally sees, you don't warrant a greeting. I complete my wash cycle, and begin to dry. Now, when it comes to the dryer I have had countless pieces of clothing stolen from my drying loads, and have had strangers try to jump in onto my paid laundry cycles at every single laundromat I have ever been to, including this one. Because of this reason I typically sit right in front of my machines when drying since the doors do not lock. I looked around the store and see no open plastic chairs. I plop onto the folding counter. No one is around, trying to fold and another man (seemingly older than me) is sitting on the next counter. I open my kindle and begin reading. About thirty minutes later two women start folding on either side of me. I crack a joke about "fancy meeting you here." Both women laugh as I begin to climb off the counter. Before my second foot is unfolded from under me, the "manager" flies over and begin to berate me about how rude I am for sitting on the counter as people are trying to fold, and how he just doesn't get it. He says, "Can't you see these people trying to fold?! Why would you sit on the counter?! Go get a chair and pull it up! I can't believe this! I just don't get it!" Then he stomps off, as I just stare at him dumb founded. Here are the issues I brought up to him after I had finished my laundry and packed up my car: "Excuse me Sir, but I am a customer, and I think it's totally inappropriate for the first words that you chose to speak to me to be so hostile when I was minding my own business doing nothing wrong. Because I truly was not doing anything wrong. For one, there are no signs in this entire store stating NOT to sit on the counters. For two, there was another man sitting on the counter whom you did not have any issue with, so either you're sexist or ageist neither of which are good traits to have if in customer service. Also, you watched me sit there long before anyone needed the space to use for folding, and when someone did need the space you decided to make yourself look authoritative by accosting me as I was giving up my seat. When I initially sat down there were no open chairs, and lastly, there were TWO OTHER LONG OPEN FOLDING COUNTERS THOSE WOMEN COULD HAVE USED WITHOUT ME GETTING OFF, not that that is the point. The ladies needed my counter space and I was willing to give it up before your interference. I truly do not appreciate or think it appropriate that you were so rude and unprofessional to me and I would like an apology." He said, "HEY GET OUT OF HERE." So I left, and I thought the only thing I can do now, is write about my truthful experience. This man treated me as if I had personally offended him with my presence from the moment I walked in the door. It should also be noted that every time I have gone to this laundromat (not on Sundays) the employees regularly sit on the counter behind the register and they must "hop" off to help customers. Unfortunately, I do not think this location is still worth the extra money and going out of my way for, they don't have much, and I don't look for outstanding customer service when going to a laundromat, but this was really upsetting to me. read more
