So... they've been open for a while now. I've waited so long to go cuz I get mixed reviews from people I know. Some people love it while others just aren't that fond of it. I'm so glad that my Chica requested to go here. I really do think it depends on what you order and HOW it's ordered. I got the Imperial Chicken Lettuce Wraps and a side of Cole Slaw. The wraps were absolutely delicious but the slaw was not. I'm sure it's a personal preference cuz my friend LOVES their slaw. The service is super sweet. The place is clean and there is a lot for parking. read more

Burgerhaus - So yummy!! - Burgers Near Me - Schererville, Indiana

My husband and I tried Burgerhaus tonight for the first time and it was delicious! We split the American Burger and the Carne Asada Fries between us so we could try both. Our food came out fast and it was FANTASTIC. The Carne Asada Fries were so good and the American Burger was cooked to perfection! (We both agreed that we liked the burger better than the ones at Red Robin down the street.) Plus, their fries were crispy and well-seasoned. I think the quality of food was well worth the price point (about $16-$20 per person). Our server was fast and knowledgeable about the menu. We had to wait a little bit to pay our bill, but our server was taking care of a few other tables at the time. Needless to say, we will be back. read more

Chilli was tasty and had a pleasant kick of spice. The cheese is tepid, and I wish it had melted. I think they could add oyster crackers for a great texture. While the burger itself was tasty, I felt that the components were lacking in their "burger of the month." The kimchi was excellent, but it didn't taste as wonderful as I was used to. read more

Omar was very kind and engaging. He ensured our drinks arrived on time and were delicious, and he delivered fresh, hot food. He was informative about the menu and made great recommendations. He checked in frequently with a pleasant smile and did an awesome job. He truly defined hospitality tonight, and I'm so happy to have had him as our server. Please share his schedule because he was absolutely amazing--I only want him from now on! (lbs) Thanks so much, Omar, you rock! read more

Visiting my home state from California. I'm a Burger and fry person and wasn't disappointed after two visits. My server on both occasions was Hondo. Great customer service along with great food. The coleslaw is among the best I've ever tasted.I do hope this family owned business survives the numerous food places along the US 41 corridor . Very well designed interior. read more

Did not care for this place Went there one time did not care for the burger was expecting so much more but it fell short read more

Went for lunch a few days ago. My friend and I each ordered the chicken caesar salad. Very disappointing. Made with iceburg lettuce instead of Romaine and only had about 2 ounces of chicken on it. I left the restaurant hungry. Will never go again. Went years ago when they first opened and had a burger and was very underwhelmed. Only gave it a second try because my friend wanted to. read more

We'll I had a taste for a burger and this place satisfied the taste. We went here we were seated pretty quickly on a Saturday evening. The menu was interesting but no build your own burger option that I saw. We were a party of eight. We enjoyed the cocktails I had a punch and a peach cocktail both very good. The service was okay. The waitress kept saying she only could take one item orders at a time ie drinks first then appetizers then entres because she had pregnancy brain. Service was very slow. The waitress was nice though. We ordered the buffalo shrimp came in an 8 count they were okay. We all ordered burgers. I asked for no mustard it was still on there. But it took 40 minutes to make our burgers from the time the order was taken. It was worth the wait but we were late to our movie. Overall I recommend this place and would go back. I will make sure I have to plans to close to the visit. read more

Been a while since we have been here. Been trying out different establishments. We came back last night. Admit we had a gift card, so the whole family went to dinner. We all had different dishes. I had the BurgerHaus burger. The food, fries, drinks were awesome as usual. Even seemed a little better since we were last here. A definite place for Schererville residents to visit or re-visit. Tourists this is a great introduction to the other fine restaurants in our area. I digress. The atmosphere was relaxing. Felt very comfortable having dinner here. The service impeccable. Kelly was our server. She made sure everything was going well. It was. She was there when we needed something, just the right amount of checking and not over bearing. She has a very upbeat attitude and was very nice to talk too. She had other customers smiling and laughing too. Yep an excellent restaurant to o to. Burgers were perfect, drinks were, the atmosphere and our server. If you can you should ask for Kelly. She made the night wonderful for our family. read more

Burger was absolutely disgusting. Dripping with grease, flavorless, and overall horrible. Dont order the rueben sandwich. They take shredded beef and put cloves on it and call it "corned beef". Tex Mex salad is a bowl of salt. Server was great. read more

We had a great visit at Burgerhaus. Although the the place was packed, our server Jada was quick and efficient, not to mention friendly. She recommended the Santiago, and I'm glad she did. Been here several times and have always had great service and a great burger cooked to order. We will be back.

Soup VERY salty, not edible (waitress said it came out of a bag) Fish tacos awful...cold, little pieces of fish (not close to fresh). Sent it back Flat Diet coke...sent it back for an ice tea VERY disappointed; the 4 of us will NOT be back read more

Not sure what happened to this place -- was a great concept but from what I'm seeing tonight, I assume it is now being horribly managed into the ground. Half empty on a Saturday night. Staff seems overly casual and kind of chaotic in dress, service, and professionalism. Menus are dirty. Beer was obviously from a poorly cleaned line (you know that weird flavor when it just is musty and off). Burger was fine but bun was kind of stale. I observed an interaction where the bar staff informed a server that several of the most popular/commonly ordered beers were out, and the server was visibly frustrated, which I completely understand-- this type of stuff messes with her livelihood! I used to work in the restaurant and hospitality industry, and all signs point to horrible management. I feel bad for the employees here -- they were all so nice and seem like a sweet bunch of folks -- don't think it's their fault. However, everything about this restaurant has the vibes of one of those bar/restaurant takeover shows, where a kind group of hardworking misfits is getting effed over by an insane owner or manager. Could be wrong, but it's definitely the vibe. read more

The food was mediocre at best. If you're going to advertise yourself as a great burger house, you should have a good burger. It was just Ok. But once you ad in the cost it's not that good. 20$ for a burger is way way to expensive. Especially that it's just for lunch. My husband ordered an extra burger and it never came. We had to go looking for condiments since our server was never seen again. It was not busy in there either. Like 3 other people and 2 of them were women sitting at the bar using every foul word they could think of. I thought I had a rotten boss. Hers must have been satan himself. Anyway. Save yourself time and money if you're looking for a burger. This isn't the place. read more

Wow if we could give it more than five stars we would!! Amazing food, amazing atmosphere, and everything was just such good quality. I'm gluten free and the Point Loma Carne Asada Fries and Taipei Chicken Lettuce Wraps were insanely good. I can't even tell you the last time I was able to have sweet and sour chicken AND the chicken was so tender and delicious. Our gluten eater was super impressed with his burger too. 3.5 star meal. In their defense, I didn't feel that any issues needed to be addressed with the staff, but the toppings on my burger were lacking, and another person in my party requested no onions and their burger had a fat layer of onion on it. Vegan meal options are available. The impossible patty was cooked perfectly, the pretzel bun was good, there was no olive on my burger :( and there were very few (I think 4) tiny pieces of pepperoncini on top. Other than that the fries were good and our server Abby was the best! read more

Carne asada fries $15? Barely any steak??!! There's more guacamole than meat?!! I was told by the manager Jen that there's 6 oz of meat. She was concerned about being right than fix the problem. To top it off, the food was lukewarm . The service (waitress was very nice) manager was somewhat dry. Oh well, . I do not recommend it, unfortunately. The deep fried shrimp isn't really deep fried. It's barely cooked. They have a special coating on it and the sauce is sweet and spicy. This wasn't really to my liking. I guess we struck out twice. read more

I really like this place my first time going. The food is great, the staff is poorly trained but the food is great. The next 2 times I went though, I ordered salad both times and both times I had hair in my meal. Staff did almost nothing to fix this. Offered 15% off the one entree I had with hair in it. I've already been eating this. I picked the hair out of my mouth and then found even more in the dish. I get things like this just happens sometimes but twice in a row and almost nothing to rectify it. read more

Good burgers - you can also sub for chicken or up charge for impossible patty. Their fries are good and it's 100% worth it to upgrade to specialty fries. We love the blue cheese togarashi fries. They also have a good beer selection. Restaurant is usually pretty quiet and not crowded. read more

Went for dinner on a Wednesday night. No problem getting a table for 2. The place is quite nice. It was fancier and more upscale for a burger place. My bf and I both ordered burgers and drinks. I ordered a mojito which tasted great. My burger was also cooked just right and tasted delicious. The fries were perfect as well. I would recommend this place if you want a burger that is better than Steak N Shake and willing a pay a couple of extra bucks for it! Overall, good place to bring a date or family! read more

I'm not impressed. This has been my second trip here. The first time was a sad affair. This time I had a hour and a half for lunch. After we got our drinks we had 15 min left for lunch. Absolutely the worst service ever! I'm serious worst ever. Never again read more

We were on our way from Minnesota to family in NW Indiana. So glad we took a chance & stopped for a break here. We stopped mid-afternoon. It wasn't busy and service was just the right amount of attentive. Our meals had this deliciously careful balance between meat, sauce and add-ons. Everything had a delicious purpose, nothing was just for looks. The flavors were perfectly balanced. I tried bleu cheese fries (not a flavor combo I'd had before). It was amazing (messy, but fantastic). It's so too bad this restaurant doesn't have a Minneapolis location. We'd go all the time. read more

My husband and I on a Wednesday afternoon were in the mood for a good burger. We had a gift card for Red Robin. That's another story! Anyways, we decided to eat at Burger Haus. We walked in & were greeted right away. Our drinks & food came out really fast. I ordered the Haus burger and it was so juicy, I took a bite and the juice in the burger came pouring out. It was delicious. The burgers come with a big basket of fries. Very good seasoning on them. Clean and friendly establishment.
