In a new flashy building, Burger Urge feels a bit out of place. I sat down in the 50's styled booths, with a group of friends after a fairly hectic week, and looked forward to having something off the rack so to speak, which is the Burger urge experience.
I've been here twice now, and to be honest it's alright, but. unfortunately there is a but hey. I went for the quirky named Hawaii Six Ohh, which has a zesty wasabi lime mayo, and a predictable Hawaiian reference of overly sweet sliced pineapple (what happened to the humble pineapple?), a solid chilli sauce, squished together with lettuce, tomato & a somewhat pale whole egg mayo; the mayo was a bit lacking. I had a becks to wash it down, nice to see that they had a license.
But, yes, here it is again, the service was slack (2pm service), they forgot to give me sauce for my potato chippies, and I wasn't impressed with the cleanliness of the kitchen (I had to say it, maybe it IS a 2pm thing).
I have to forgive that the building is still under construction as well, but hey, if your wondering the old botanic gardens and really want to splash out on a fancy burger, go here, or keep walking, there's always an option.
