Long lines, slow service, dirty eating area. I once got food poising off a cheeseburger here. Was sick for a week, couldn't get out of bed, thought I was going to die. Not my favourite McDonald's. read more

Decided to…read morestop by Jee's Burger solely because it was close to my hotel in the heart of downtown Brisbane. I ordered the cheeseburger and fries, so nothing crazy, but I'm not going to lie, they make a ridiculously good smash burger. The service is great as well, and I know my food was all cooked to order because it tasted fresh and was served piping hot! If you're in a hurry and looking for something that tastes great and is ready super fast, make it a point to stop by Jee's! Two thumbs and two toes way up for Jee's! Happy eating, my foodies!
I'd been walking by this place for a week now and finally decided to go in. I asked the girl at the…read moreregister if they could give me a bunless option, to which she said yes. I suppose I should've been a little clearer as I'd wanted a lettuce wrap. Not a huge deal as they had plastic ware on site. I chose the bacon burger with two patties. The burgers were very juicy and grilled to perfection. The bacon could have been more crispy, but not a deal breaker. I chose the chipotle mayo which was tasty and paired well with the fries. The fries were crispy and had a flavorful seasoning on them. To round it out, I got a peanutbutter milkshake at the suggestion of the cashier; she said they were delicious. She was not wrong. The shake was awesome! The restaurant is fairly small and there's not much to talk about other than the cool wallpaper and weekly top 20 beats pumping through the stereo. Great place to get a burger and hang out.

You pick a table take note of your table number) and when you're ready you just head up to the bar to order. It's a short wait for food (which is delivered to your table). In all honesty, I wasn't hungry, but I hadn't eaten anything in over 12 hours, and knew I needed to. A bit too sweet after a few sips but unique. Not a lot of burger options but the ones they do they do well. One of the better burger joints in town for sure. Recommend their Brie burger it was limited time but hopefully they keep it on. Seating: choose between street seating or inside seating. Fries are perfect crunchy to flavor ratio. I recommend the regular fries the chili ones don't add that much more flavor for the price. They're mild flavors so don't expect McDonald's shake fries level. The plain ones are actually a very good balance in flavor. Price expect to pay 12$ per burger or 20-25$ combos.

I ordered the Big Queenslander that is lean beef, tasty cheese, crispy trim bacon, free range egg, couple of slices of beetroot with salad, relish, and herbed mayo with hot chips. I have fallen in love with beetroot since coming to Australia. The buns were fine but didn't stand out like the Beastie ones. The hot chips had a Grill'd herb mix which was pretty tasty. It's nice to add garlic and salt to the chips. Since there were so many burgers to choose from, I would like to go back to Grill'd and try out a chicken burger. The restaurant is very much open but manages to retain so much charm. You just want to sit yourself down in a booth with a loved one and talk with them until there is nothing left to say and only the assumption of love is left. We managed to arrive just after the lunch rush, so ordering was quick and the wait time was minimal. If you like Reese's Pieces peanut butter candy you must try the Natella Peanut Butter milkshake. A sweet infusion of chocolate and peanuts that was just too delicious. I had the New Yorker and my wife the el Diablo. The New Yorker was such an enjoyable burger, only issue was the glazed milk bun was cut on such a slope that it thinned out terribly on one side. Despite that you could really bite into the beef pattie, the salt from maple bacon, pickles and American style cheddar were held in place by the hickory BBQ sauce and freshness of the lettuce and tomato. My wife very much enjoyed her el Diablo and said she'd order it again. The staff were friendly and helpful. A very pleasant experience all round.

There was no greeting but hey, all doubts were cast aside when my very first DA'Burger was brought to our table. These burgers are massive and for less than $20 (including a serve of beer battered chips) it's a bloody great value dinner for any burger-lover. I went with the classic DA'Burger with cheese which translated into Burgernese is a standard cheeseburger. The bun is fresh and soft, the red onion, lettuce and tomato bright and not wilted, the burger patty thick like a hockey puck, the mayo just enough. Yes, I sound like Goldilocks facing some serious first world problems, I know. So without waxing lyrical about a burger any further - they're good. There might not be anything fancy with this burger but the fact that it's not remotely greasy and actually tastes and looks like real food? Well, I'd give it two thumbs up but they're too busy trying to pick up this massive bun to eat. TL;DR: sloppy, messy, undercooked burger with flat soda…read more In a word: NOPE. I ordered the cheeseburger, Miss Kay's fries and a diet coke. There was no diet coke so they asked if Pepsi max would be alright. I've no aversion to Pepsi, so I said sure. It all started to go down hill when they poured my drink .... From a carafe which had been sitting out on the bar. The result was one very, very flat paper cup full of sugar water. Next to the burger. I'd heard great reviews so I expected good things. The first issue arose when it was served: it's huge and there is no cutlery. You can't cut it into slices or halves. If you're reasonably petite (like me) and have correspondingly small hands and mouth, you might struggle to eat the big, dripping with fat, oozing mustard and sauce cheeseburger. You basically just have to smoosh it at your face .... At which point it quickly begins to fall apart. The meat slid out the bottom, the pickles popped out the top - it was awful. Not to mention I was covered all over my face and hands in oily smelly mustard. Four napkins later I was barely half way through when I saw the final straw: the inside of the patty was red raw. Nope, no way, nuh uh. This isn't steak freaking tartare. It's a burger, and it should be cooked through. I couldn't finish. Im now feeling quite unwell from the oil and sauce overload. The chips were actually quite good but not enough to bring me back. If you want a decent burger in the city, don't go here. Again I'm left wishing I could give a restaurant no stars.

The prices on the Beef Burgers menu have a 6.60/10.50 price declaration, which just so happens to be about the same as the chips and drink upgrade. I only found out after finishing (but not yet paying for) the order that it was going to be $14.50. I ended up dropping the chips and drink and just ordering the burger. To be honest I was very close to dropping the order completely and moving onto my original choice of Vege Rama. $10.50 seems reasonable for a burger chips and drink. Nearly $15 is just too much for my wallet to cope with. I had the Feel the Cheese burger on a Wholemeal Bun. It was well cooked, juicy, and had good quality ingredients on the burger. If I was feeling rich, I'd likely have it again. I have also had the "The Okker" burger with bacon, egg and pineapple. In my opinion, this is the one to get. You only end up paying about $1 more for it and you really don't need to get the chips with it. Both options did leave me feeling full and satisfied after. The Okker moreso.
