Ive eaten here a few times since they opened ive never had a specific problem with the food or service, but over the last couple months/visits, its been noticeably going downhill. Tonight promoted me to finally leave a review. This is why I dont always review on first trip for places i know i will return to over time. 1. The smell. Last time there was a hint of something and it wasn't necessarily bad, but it wasn't " hot steamy burgers seducing your senses"... tonight, we opened the door and it hit us square in the face like a paternity suit served at your new job. The only way to describe it is raw sewage. Like the smell that comes over you after crossing into a mexican border town and finding a public toilet that charges 4 pesos for paper and no one is buying. It was revolting. My wife REALLY wanted to get out of the house and eat here so i didnt say anything at first, but i didnt wait long. 2. The hours. CLEARLY on the front door is the hours. It says closes at 9pm. It does not say "hours vary", " seating stops at..." or anything else other than 9pm for closing time. So to my dismay at 8:26 pm my wife and I were told that we could only order take out. We would not be welcome to sit down and eat our food. Most people would prob just get it to and eat at home. Which is fine for most people but i have a large dog that like likes hamburgers and i dont like to sit down with him staring at me the whole time, or worse occasionally stealing my food since he is about 80 lbs and perfectly capable of it despite my best attempts to stop him. 3. Back to the smell. By now the smell is so overwhelming , that even my 80lb dog who can clear a room with stolen food scrap farts would probably be begging to go outside for fresh air. I was just about to tell my wife were leaving and going to another place but its late on Sunday. In that same regrettable breath, my wife finally asks the girl at the counter "what is that horrible smell?" I'm thinking that by now one of those canaries that late 1800's miners carried down to warn of poisonous gas, would be feet up and tongue out dead. Lighting a match could result in a catastrophic explosion too. 4. The excuse. The counter girl tried to explain the smell with a poorly rehearsed story about cleaning products since it was the end of the night. While i believe this smell might harm us the same as mixing ammonia and bleach, it was certainly derived from an activity OPPOSITE of cleaning. She then told us unsolicited how the drink machine was really dirty and can smell up the place too because of the collection tray or something. She should receive some sales training, or just play dumb. That would have been less offensive than a concoction of a story like the one she has already let out. 5. The smell is stronger now. Like a good Quentin Tarintino movie, we've bounced back and forth on chapters/chronology, but we always get back to the original plot line. I have already ordered my wife to leave and we are headed out the door. A couple of teenage looking boys have emerged from the back as if to see who is out there in disbelief that they dont allow dine in 30 minutes before closing, and that this smell is somehow the result of a cleaning activity. I feel like we might have been a little unsympathetic in our haste to leave but in the 2-3 minutes that transpired for this whole event, we might have exceded epa limits for inhaling methane based gas fumes. I certainly wasnt going to check the bathroom to see if it was just someone dumping a colostomy bag out ( which doesnt smell this bad btw) as the other logical explanation. 6. The impression. I cant eat in here again for quite a while, even if they clean up the smell. Its scarred my brain it was so bad. If i decide to try again ( they are super close to my house), and that smell is still there, it will most likely trigger a flashback. A really bad one like a family reunion where theres one weird uncle who likes to touch all the kids in the same places the detective had circled on that doll.. read more

I'm sad to see the recent reviews of this place are negative. So far, I've loved burger pop and have never had an issue. In fact, what finally made me jump the gun and do this review after so long was the girl at the register/front. I made an order over the phone to be picked up and she was great! Very nice, patient with my questions, etc. The burgers have always been great. One time I did find it greasier than usual but that's it. However, the fries could use more crispness. They are too oily and soggy sometimes. Other than that, there are no big complaints from me. I do hope they improve and give it their all, because I'm addicted to the hickory burger. read more

I wasn't sure what to expect from Burger Pop. There are so many burger places in the area. Is this one going to be any different? The answer is yes! The menu offers lots of choices. The hubs got a cheeseburger with a fried egg on it. The nugget got the corn dog bites. I got the beef salad, which is basically a burger salad. You can also enjoy fresh cut fries or curly fries. I had the mushroom and Swiss with a side of onion rings. The burger was excellent. It was juicy and flavorful. They put all the toppings on the side as requested. The staff was friendly and the service prompt. The only issue I had was the size of the burger was huge! I should have seen if they had a smaller version. As a side note, Philly cheesesteaks are in no way made the way they serve them. But this seems common in Texas. I hope y'all get a chance to try one someday because they are awesome. read more

This is for take out. Burger tasted fresh. Rolls nice and soft. My burger had mustard on it. I usually don't like mustard on my burgers, but I got to say it tasted real good. This reminds me of a real home made burger. Meat was tender and if good quality. Not too greasy but just enough. With the onion rings, done extra crispy like asked, felt like being on a picnic. Very good job. My first time. I will be putting this place on the regular rotation. read more

Burgers were average but better then fast food. The Burger meat it's self was a little dry but the cheese and condiments added all the flavor. Buns were only so-so. Also there was excess amount of black pepper on the Burger. Idk if this was a ingredient or mess up. I could take it or leave it. Staff was friendly, facility was clean and prices ok. read more

So I went to buy a cheeseburger combo w/jalapeños at lunch time. The cheeseburger combo at lunch is $6.95 and to add jalapeños it is $1. They tried to charge me $10 - the Jalapeño Cheeseburger plus fries and a drink separately. When I asked the cashier why i couldn't have the combo price and add the $1 up charge, she went into an explanation about Covid and prices going up from distributors. I decided to 'opt out' and they lost my future business bc of their ridiculous scam on pricing. read more

Their burgers are the bomb. Bug and super flavorful. Their service could be a little faster but if you aren't in a rush, give them a try.

Easy to order through Grubhub, have had the Chipotle & Acovado burger good, not village burger bar quality but would do, specially being so close to home. Good choices on sides, Jalapeño poppers is a must. Yes there is a 75 cent charge for using plastic, not a big deal get over it people. Will definitely come back to try more of their menu. read more

Food quality has decreased the last few times I have come here. Ordered a burger with bacon. It comes with one slice of bacon. Then noticed the charge you .75 service charge just for buying something. This place needs to pick it up again or it won't be long until it's out of business. The food is okay. The service is terrible. The girl taking my order cut me off rudely more than once, didn't seem to understand our order, and then still brought out the wrong thing. Then instead of correcting the order she argued with me about what I ordered instead of fixing it. First and last time here. I recommend Burger Style Cafe that is a little way down the street. Better than fast food. Meat is a little thin on the burgers though. Fries are great. Funnel fries are great. CFS sandwich is super thin. I always order through UberEats so I've never been inside, but my order is always quick. read more

Most of the items here are great! They do tend to under season their food and the chickem is way over cooked. With that being said, the burgers and the cheese steaks are incredible! read more

This place used to be good but today proved for me that it was my time. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger which read on the meun loaded with bacon. I got four little and I mean little pieces of undercooked fatty bacon Burger was greasy and the guy at the counter had no personality. I won't be back ever again. This was our first time eating here. We've been told by quite a few people how good the burgers are, and we weren't disappointed! The line was out the door, but we only had to wait about 10-15 min for our order. The burgers were juicy and cooked just the way I like (no pink). We also got regular fries (a little soggy), curly fries ( nice and crispy) and the onion rings were great! The burgers are half pound, so I could only eat about half. It was so good! This place started out being really good. Burger were excellent, buns didn't fall apart and customer service was great. Now, the burgers are tasteless, the buns always soggy and it's super hard to communicate your order to them. They stopped grilling the inside of the buns so they just get soggy all the way through despite telling them to grill the inside of the bun. Instead they grilled the outside of the bun so it was dry and pieces were flaming off. So the inside is soggy, the outside flakes ahead and the burger is tasteless. As you can imagine bag makes for a very unpleasant dining experience. Their fries also used to be crisp but now they're soggy too. read more
