A+/ for this Burger King location on Mae Anne. I ordered through my digital app and picked it up at 12:15 pm on June 30th using the drive thru. The experience was such a pleasure that I felt like I needed to leave a review. First point is that the digital deals that Burger King offers are great. Second point is that I received everything just as I ordered, no mistakes. Lastly, but not least, is that the young lady working the drive thru is a true asset to your company. She was such a pleasure. And she even offered me a puppy paddy for my dog. I work in the service industry and too often I have found that the customer service in fast food has fallen by the waist side and doesn't seem to be prioritized. This place is OK. I have been bringing my father-in-law who is here for a couple of months now who has become a new whopper fan. Usually the tables are not that clean I'm the Forks being on the counter are OK not friendly, but the food is good. But two days ago we went there and there was a black lady that I've never seen before at counter. She had a great smile, great attitude and very friendly. "I'd give a negative 20 stars if I could, but for the sake of the review, I have to give one at least to post it. Anyways, this Burger King on 5150 Mayn Avenue, Reno, Nevada is by far the worst. It's the worst of all evils. I went there in the drive-through with my mobile order placed ten minutes ahead of time, okay? Once I placed it, I got to the drive-through; it was just one item, Double Whopper with jalapeños. I got there; there was nobody in the line in the drive-through. I got to the box; they told me to hold on. I was sitting out there for eight minutes at least, I lost track, must have been longer. They finally asked me a question, go, you know, can we help you; you rule the text speech they give you. And I told them the name of the order. So I pulled up, no cars in front of me still. I go to the window; it takes them two minutes to open the window, and they try to verify the order. I'm like, yeah, I'm the only car here, of course I'm here for, and I put in my name. Anyways, go there. I waited another five minutes, and I can see four people in the front front of the grill there going back and forth. Anyways, one or two of them goes out for a smoke break, uh, when I leave I notice two of them. And then they tell me they don't open the window for like another ten minutes to tell me, hey, what's going on, like, for example, we're sorry for the wait, we had a hiccup, there's a problem, blah, blah, blah. They just they look like they were like waving their arms and hands and just talking. And I'm like, how come there's nobody going back to the window explaining why my order is taking fifteen minutes at the window? And the girl says, I don't, we got one cook. I said that's that's the norm for this Burger King. Give me a better excuse. Well, I found out that they're they're they're giving precedence and priority to the Grubhub, DoorDash, and, uh, Postmates, Uber Eats drivers. So yeah, their lobby is only busy with takeout orders, unlike Taco Bell that gives, uh, precedence to the customers in the drive-through over the DoorDash drivers. They do the opposite at this specific Burger King. They give preference to the delivery drivers, not the customers in the drive-through. So, and every time I go here, there's a problem. Then one time I went there, there's nobody in line, last Wednesday, Whopper Wednesday. I went there; same problem; I didn't wait quite as long, and I asked her, I said, well, why is the wait so long? There's nobody in the drive-through, and I placed a mobile order. She said, oh, we've been really busy. I'm like, there's nobody here. What are you talking about? Nobody in the line, nobody in the drive-through. I'm the only one there. And you're telling me you got slammed because it's Whopper Wednesday? I'm like, well, we're all the customers, and what's the excuse now, at this moment? I'm just yeah, it boils down to the owner, the management. They probably hire just anybody, no qualifications, anybody with a heartbeat, bipedal, they'll hire them. That's their hiring process. I don't know, uh, the management or the franchisee owner of this place really needs to get his or her ass in gear and manage much better because this is a failing location. I haven't eaten at Burger King in at least a decade, but I have been seeing the ads about how they've improved so I gave it a shot. Turns out I've been right for the last ten years. Pulled into the drive through around 6:30 pm on Sunday, May 4th. The male attendant said he'd be with us in a minute. After several I got out of the car to check what was happening in front of us. There was one car at the window. I went back and waited some more. After what I estimated was about ten minutes I left. By then there were no cars and no line inside, just crew members standing around. You can spend many millions on advertising that say you've improved, but it's wasted. I will never be back . Visit one we were in the drive thru for 15 minutes with two other cars. Visit two was just us. Still took five minutes. We were back in town for the weekend and forgot. Stopped here Friday night and it took twenty-eight minutes for three other cars and us. Pro Tip: Beware of the single lane drive-thru with no exit option. Twenty eight minutes? We were boxed in and couldn't leave. Turn up the radio or start a lengthy conversation with your partner, maybe play on the phone. Can't leave. The young couple working there say the delay was because it's just the two of them. I'm not sure who the older woman in the BK uniform talking to customers at the counter was but, no matter. Wanted to get some so I went into the drive-through, sat there for over five minutes yelling hello hello to only to not be answered and be ignored. I drove forward to the pick up window to see the employee standing with his back to the window and his head gear off, ignoring customers. Continue to drive around to park and walk in and order. Parked in front of the window by the drive-through only to see another employee sitting picking his nose on the floor while eating his lunch. How absolutely disgusting. June 20 or 21. Went in about 11:1 am. No employees were visable. Finally a female came out from somewher in the back room. Took my order then two males came out from a back room. A tall African American put on gloves and looked at the monitor. Another male came up to the counter but just stood there. Two male friends came in and chatted with him. Never ordered then all three left the building. The female asked "why the FF are taking so long" I couldnt hear his response, The burger was ready now WAITING for the fries. She then told him he had to wrap the burgers better. Finally got my order after 15-20 minutes. When leaving, I observed the employee who had left sitting in his car on his phone. Got two of the saddest most pathetic looking flat cold stale burgers I've ever seen, ordered via app. $9 each (no fries/drink), barely anything inside, a few shreds of wilted lettuce, a grey cold patty, obviously made with hate. As usual, the quality of food at this Burger King is par for the course. I was there at 12:13 p.m. on November 18, 2025 and it was quite busy due to the noon hour rush. The drive up window had at least 10 cars in line. Decided to go inside and order at the counter. I observed only two employees, one cooking and and the other servicing the drive up window and the front counter. The latter appeared to be doing the job of two people. He was continually moving back-and-forth from the counter to the drive up window. During my visit, the employee was neither frazzled and kept a calm demeanor. I have not had Burger King for a while because the one in Sparks near the freeway always take a long time to serve even if you order on the app ahead of time. This one in Mae Anne is very efficient. I would give one star it it would allow me. When I completed my order and received it through the drive through, mine AND my son's order were incorrect. I then approached the drive-through window and was told to get back into my vehicle and drive back around to wait in line again. He said I was rude and told me to leave ("Get the f**k" out of here" is what I remember). So we don't go to fast food often but the last two weeks were ruff and we needed some help.. Any time we've gone here in the last year it's been great, the better option over McDonald's or anything else similar. The three times we've gone though they have forgotten 1 to 3 items each time, then tonight they gave us cold stale food and soda that was flat and tasted like it had alcohol in it, I'm assuming it was bad or they didn't clean the machine right. Only once was any of this made right by a nicer young man who was the manager for the night. The other two time they just oh like it wasn't and issue that I had driven all the way home without half my order that we paid for or they had gotten what they did give us wrong. Tonight at 9:40pm me and my friend went to get some burgers and the lady in serve had poor customer service skills, was on the phone the whole time while we waited 2 mins for her to take our card, she had poor food handling skills flinging bags around with food in them. Once we got home my Texas double whopper didn't have any jalapeños on it nor had any bacon on it, the tacos we had order we cold still as ice, the frys with the meal we got was half full and cold as well. As a former assistant General manager of a restaurant and former co-owner of a company this was the worst crew I've ever seen in my life if there was a negative 5 stars option, best believe I'd choose that rating, there needs to be a professional manager on this shift so no fuck ups keep happening and to make sure employees are on task and not on there phones talking to somebody else than the customers that are supposed to be serving and helping. read more

It's a Burger King! What does one expect? Well, I expect a smile, friendly service, a hot meal, and a clean establishment. These things I certainly received here. We came here late in the evening after a Reno aces baseball game. Although there weren't many customers inside the restaurant, being late in the evening, the drive-through was busy. We chose to go inside. We ordered the standard meal deals, One for her and one for me. Nothing special, no surprises, just two late evening meal deals. I usually try to keep my eye on things when I order from a fast food joint, but somehow it seems, our burgers were given to someone else. We waited and waited, but weren't called. Finally, a lady approached us and asked if we had been helped. I believe she was the manager, because she seemed more together than the rest. When we told her we had not received our meals yet, she went and inquired what might've happened with our food. No one seemed to know, but I did hear one say that he thought they had already prepared those burgers. They were nowhere to be found, and new ones had to be prepared! While waiting for the new meals to be prepared, she asked us if we wanted pies to take home, and we declined. We didn't order any pies, she was just trying to be nice, doing the best she could. I felt sorry for her. We finally received our meals, and she whispered "I gave you extra fries". We thanked her and went on our way. My observation is this: they were understaffed, and under trained. The manager seemed to be doing everything! It's like herding cats! In the late evening, I believe they need more help there. The meals were fine, nothing special, nothing horrible.
