The only thing this place is consistantly good at is absolutely having awful service and being rude. Whoever the morning manager is or maybe she owns the place is literelly the worst. It's ok to smile and be friendly, but she chooses to be grumpy and rude. I've been here plenty of times and have just stood in the lobby just waiting for someone to come to the counter when it's not busy, no cars in the drive thru, workers in the back that will make eye contact but won't assist you or let somebody know there's a customer waiting. One morning I sat there so long I called out "Is anybody here?" and after a few minutes the morning manager or again maybe she's the owner came out and the first thing she said was "You were standing out of the sight of the camera so I didn't know anybody was here." Plenty of employees present but management is awful. No cars at the pickup window but I'm the fourth car waiting in the Drive-Thru to place an order. The service was so good last year, obviously they had a good management and a great team but this year it really stinks. In January alone I went twice and they were out of burgers. I used to be able to place an order and I would be out within 5 minutes! Even I was continually amazed. This year though I very much hesitate to even get in line. Taco Bell is next door and they are plenty fast but I would really prefer Burger King food if it weren't for the incompetence. I asked for a value fry with my burgers and was told they don't have value fries even though it's on the menu right in front of my eyes. What happened to this place? If you have the Burger King app and/or are expecting to use rewards here, forget it!! Apparently this store is not participating. None of the rewards are available, and they don't do mobile orders either. I complained to BK for a 10+minute drive-thru wait, and they gave me $10 in rewards (they don't issue gift cards). I was waiting in the drive through at the order speaker asking for help with no answer. Two minutes later I gave up calling out to them and I drive up to the window and they said I could not order at the window. I had to order at the speaker. I let them know I was sitting at the speaker with no responce. They would not take my order and told me to come back around to the speaker that did not work for me. I was so frustrated I hit gas pedal just right and snapped it off in their parking lot. Now I am waiting in the rain for a tow truck. And I cannot go inside due to Covid. read more

They are never open at posted times. They're supposed to open at 7 AM and they aren't even open yet by 9 :30 AM. There were yellow cones in front of the drivethru with a hastily written sign on it from the night before that said "closed at 8:00 PM" which also doesn't match what their times are supposed to be. it isn't some mom and pop shop it's a franchise! The owner should seriously lose their franchising rights! I can't believe how often they've been free to change the store hours on a whim. It's so inconsistent too. I can't believe how bad things have gotten at this Burger King. 2 years ago, when I first started going here, it seemed like a clean place that had their act together, now it's quite the opposite. This is now the worst Burger King I've ever been to. Their order screen that allows you to check your order as you order is Broken now. It broke over a year ago and it doesn't seem like they have made any effort whatsoever to fix it. They are constantly "sold out" of various items on their menu. It's almost a gamble every time if they are even going to have the stuff you want. Their ICEE machine almost never works, they always claim it's on "Defrost", but why is it in that mode basically every time we try to order one? Does it ever come *out* of "defrost"? Their ice cream / smoothy machine seems to also have the same or similar problem and never seems to work. They have now become VERY STINGY with their sauce. They now flat out refuse to give you more than one sauce, regardless of what you order. If I order a small onion ring, they give me one sauce, but if I order a LARGE onion ring, they still won't give me more than one sauce, despite there being almost twice as many onion rings compared to a small. Why? Well they have a sign on their window that says you can BUY more sauce if you want to... Funny that no other place seems to have a problem giving you an adequate amount of sauce for free. Onion rings don't even taste good without the sauce, so what's the point of even ordering a large if they don't give you the sauce you need? Their service has just gotten slower and slower. Not sure if they just have half as many employees now or what but going there at lunch or dinner means insanely slow service that will have you waiting there for probably 20 minutes. Many of the lights in their parking lot are broken, and there always seems to be what look like meth-heads loitering in the parking lot. Has this become the new favorite spot for drug-dealing? Doesn't make you feel very safe going there at night. The layout of their drive-through is terrible. At a busy hour, it extends back out through the very skinny parking lot, which causes constant stressful moments as people try to back their cars out but can't because people in the drive-through line are blocking their ability to back out. You also have people who enter through the rear entrance of the parking lot, near the order screen, and then "cut in line", in front of all the people stuck waiting. This is just agonizing. When I order chicken nuggets, they are often under-cooked, resulting in disgusting soggy nuggets that are almost vomit-inducing. At least my dog still enjoys them. And of course, they never give you more than once sauce no matter how many nuggets you order. Their payment machine never seems to be able to read my card correctly. They have to wait until it fails, take the card out, put it back in, start the procedure from scratch. In many cases they have to do this 5-6 times before it actually works. I wondered if it was my card somehow (even though it never has this problem anywhere else), but I recently got a BRAND NEW card from my bank and it did the exact same thing, so no, it's just another example of broken equipment at this decrepit Burger King. Many of the employees are rude and act like they hate their job (can't blame them really). They often slam the window shut. It makes for a terrible experience where you don't feel very welcome. Their order accuracy is terrible, compounded by their broken order screen. It's made it so that you HAVE to check your order each time. They hate it when I wait there checking my bag though, acting like it's an insult to them. Too bad... None of this is a Burger King problem in general, as most of the Burger Kings in the Bay Area or Sacramento area still seem to have their act together. How has it gotten so bad here? Thankfully there is a McDonalds, Taco Bell, and KFC right next door, which I will probably be going to a lot more instead of Burger King until they get their act together. read more

Employees close the business early. Posted hours are until 12:00 am. Went on a Thursday at 9:30 and was told they were closed.Employees also shut off the signage lights Reason: not enough employees. I counted three. How many morons does it take to flip a burger? Went across the street to their competitor (MCDONALDS) a long line in their drive thru and only 2 employees and they were kicking it out! I've worked at Bk, I've managed their corporate stores. This is what it looks like to me: Lazy cows are closing the store early and the assistant manger is covering for them. OWNER BEWARE! Maybe the store manager knows but if I owned a business and this was going on I would be severely pissed. UPDATE: THE NEXT VISIT : Went to Taco Bell (with a full drive thru) and drove next door to the BK store to buy a coke slushy (which TB doesn't sell) and was told they have no slushy's and no milk shakes as they HAVE BROKEN DOWN THE MACHINES FOR CLEANING. At 9:30? Your stated hours are until 12:00 am. I don't know maybe it's me, but breaking down machines that make cooling beverages in a SUMMER market when demands are high seems to be from a a business standpoint rather IGNORANT. Total came to $14.75 I don't eat meat and got a veggie whopper got a kids meal and another meal for someone else. The man at the window sat there wanted to charge me ¢25 cents a dip. Bullshit. Went inside to order a whopper. There used to be female staff that were very friendly. But this time the man behind the counter wearing a unkept uniform, wasn't very friendly to male customers, but was all smiles when a female walked in. Flies were flying all over the place, they were on the counter, and mostly in the seating area, where you can see the customers shooing them away with their hands while the flies fed on scraps that were left on tables. It wasn't busy in there at all, couldn't the macho man behind the counter help clean up the seating area? No, he was too busy yakking with the other workers. My husband said his whole burger was cold. With several other fast food places to choose from, the next time we went into Lakeport we will go to a different fast food place to eiat.
