Donald's is because of Shannon, she has been the only good experience of coming to this location. Whoever staffed this manager should really reconsider the hiring process. I spent $15 in the drive through for my meal, but my order was wrong. I ordered a spicy chicken meal with no pickles. I got a plain chicken, no sauce, no lettuce, no tomatoes, with burnt buns and pickles. No ketchup. No Napkins. Simple mistake, so I went in. I got one sentence in, saying I had made my purchase wrong and could I please pay to fix it? But the (I'm guessing new hire?) Immediately cut me off and asked if I needed to ask for the manager. Today, the so-called manager took my dirty happy meal box inside through the drive thru window after grabbing it and the receipt from my hand. She also left me hanging for 10 minutes at the window waiting to retrieve my receipt. I had to park the car and go inside and demand my receipt back. I am also calling the health department. The issue was, I got an ice cold happy meal but did not notice until I got to the health facility a mile away to give it to my elderly Mom. She tried to nibble at it but said it was too nasty. Horrible Horrible service! We waited in the drive thru line for 20 minutes with two customers in front of us. And no one was there to take your order. So i parked and went inside thinking it must be crowded. It wasn't! There was one person sitting waiting for his food. Now we are being forced to use the kiosk with no counter service available. The kiosk is cumbersome to use and confusing. Elderly parents stopped for their weekly treat and ordered 1 drink, 1 slushy drink and fries. They asked for salt however when they went down to their spot by the lake to enjoy their snacks they noticed there were no straws and no napkins!!! Don't have many issues with this place but employees seem more about talking then actually taking care of the customer especially in the morning. This independent owner doesn't adhere to McDonalds rules. Sign lists menu but they don't follow them. Breakfast is not all day, no hash browns past 10:30am....you get cold greasy fries which are left out on the heat lamp too long, you get hard muffins which have been left out on the trays, I have gotten undercooked eggs and their bathroom was dirty once and I reported it and for the 35 minutes I was there NO one cleaned it. They are clearly in violation of health codes and God knows what other unclean practices are going on that you don't see. Suggest you pass on this franchise. Okay folks, I know this Previous McDonalds was a disaster...in fact I wrote a review saying so...I even had to stop going after getting food poisoning over a long Memorial Day weekend. BUT things have changed! The remodel, the new employees, the upgraded kitchen all added up to a new chance for this once beloved McDonalds that the Norcio's owned...and I must say that so far I am impressed. The restaurant is now new and modern. The food now comes out fresh, and the employees are friendly and pleasant. I no longer fear my visit, but can look forward to my weekly favorite treat to myself...the tasty breakfast. And it is a breakfast that is fast, fresh, and tasty. I wish that Yelp had a reset button, because this newly owned restaurant is a complete 180 to the previous owners. Look, McDonalds is everywhere and there have been very few times that I've had a complaint. The folks that work here in Lakeport have always been most pleasant, the restaurant has always been clean, the bathrooms are spic and span and this McDonalds deserves nothing but compliments from this customer because I have always had a good experience when I visit.
