Drove through for coffee one morning while in town for the day. Drive up service, this little coffee shack on the end of town has a drive up window with menu boards as you approach. The staff were friendly and kind, took our beverage orders and got us on out way quickly. Great seasonal flavors, happy employees, great customer service. The line goes fast. The other day we only got in-line to get a blueberry muffin for our kids (they love the treats) and they had just sold the last muffin. Jitter Bean is always a stop when visiting Humboldt. Whether it's taking the grandkids for a lil bean or getting a hot mocha or tea for myself. The drive thru can be packed and the customer service is always superb. The baristas make you feel like you're the only person in line by striking up conversation and are always smiling. I love the girls that work at jitter Bean, I go there a few times a week to start my day they take the time to remember the names of my children, and what I order. They are always friendly, they are so sweet and they sure do know how to make a good cup of coffee. Personal favorite white mocha! Been coming here off and on for 3 years and the girls are so sweet. They always remember me and they remember my drink. Great drinks! My boyfriend and I have been going here often because of convenience and we fell in love with their Mexican Mocha. Much better than Starbucks. Their English Tea Inn Latte wasn't bad. Hot chocolate is good. The frappes I've had during the summer were amazing. They are located next to an exit to the highway also and you do not have to be in a vehicle to order from their drive thru. If I could give less than a star I would. Very disappointed because I have been a regular, very well paying customer spending thousands of dollars here over the last two years, as well as tipping more than generously because having been a server myself, I understand tips are what get someone by on a minimum wage job. Since coming under new ownership, and losing most of their original girls, this place has gone way down hill. Today was the last straw and I will GLADLY take my business elsewhere. I won't stand for being yelled at and treated like shit from one of the baristas who clearly doesn't like me, (which she has made clear many times before in the way she has treated me in the past.) As soon as she approached my car she was incredibly rude and snarky. Mind you I had already paid for it on my debit card, and she walked up to my car 20 minutes later, and the first thing out of her mouth is 'you either need to give me 1.80 more or I'm not giving this to you.' So I asked for an explanation of why my drink suddenly is almost 9 dollars when it used to be 5. And her attitude and rudeness continued, and her answer was you can either pay it or I'm not giving you the drink. Then screaming never mind I'm refusing service to you! When I had already paid for it on my debit card! So what ensued was her being incredibly rude, loud, and just plain mean, even as I was holding the extra two dollars in my hand. And yes, I said, ''you're such a b****,'' because that's exactly what she was being. And I get businesses needing to raise prices, but that's almost a hundred percent increase! But what I won't stand for is being treated like a child and getting screamed at by some girl holding a nasty grudge. (This doesn't apply to all the workers though, most are very nice and kind, but this bad apple in the bunch is enough that I won't be returning.) Also, about a year ago, I encountered the same type of rudeness with the same girl, and I didn't return for a few months, but wanted to give the place another chance because I get people have bad days, but clearly I was wrong. Not a friendly place! girls are snobs at the window and their drinks are mediocre at best plus overpriced. I ordered a blended chai they gave it to me it looked strange/too icy.I had to drive away because I was going to work. I called them and complained they offered me a free drink when I got back to accept the free drink girl gave me attitude and questioned me extensively. And gave me another free mediocre drink. I absolutely loved the coffees here, but i have completely stopped going due to their loyalty/reward system was changed. Ironically, the more loyal are, the more you get penalized. The more money you spend the less you get back. Sad because i got 2 coffees (cost $11) every single day for a very long time, but now i don't go at all. The service was great and all the people working are really friendly. I like to leave tips for good service but is just too expensive now. That being said, if they were to improve the rewards i would go back in an instant. read more

I go to Jitter Bean all the time because of the convenience of their drive-thru. I like the coffee and the girls there are great!! Other reviews complain about the waiting time, which can be frustrating, but if you're in a hurry you probably shouldn't risk hitting up a popular coffee joint in the first place. Sometimes I get my coffee in a few minutes and sometimes it takes 10+ minutes. This is a small business that gets a lot of attention, so sometimes you just have to wait (which I don't mind doing). I'd say my only complaint is the inconsistency with the drinks. The quality changes depending on which girl is making it. But, overall, love this place. read more
