The lady said, "Go sit," in a mean voice, and then it took her around 20 minutes to bring our drinks. We then proceeded to wait for over an hour for our food, and still nothing until we got up and asked where our food was. She said , "I'm so sorry, we messed up and sent the order somewhere else," so we just left. Worst experience ever! She also said, "Don't worry, the food is almost done," which she completely lied about. Like, tell us beforehand if the food was even coming instead of making us wait an hour for nothing.

We arrived around 1:30 on Memorial Day, and there was a sign on the door that food would arrive 20-30 minutes after ordering. That should have been our clue to look elsewhere. Though we were seated right away, it took awhile to even order our food. I didn't time how long it took to make our food, but it was probably in the estimated range. We ordered the corn appetizer hoping they could deliver that before the entrees, but no luck. The sandwiches and fries were ok, but nothing special. The dip was a little runny and the chips were kind of stale. And they serve Pepsi products so we got water. The place was decorated with a bunch of American items. Not sure if that's a regular thing or if it was for the holiday.

They let us know that the panini machine was broken and someone was working on it, so that buggered up my plan to order the turkey panini. I ended up ordering a grilled chicken sandwich. It included a list of places to stay, things to see and do in the city and campgrounds.- quite fun that they have taken the time to put that together. Honestly, the food wasn't all that memorable and maybe it was because I had my heart set on that turkey Panini. The chicken sandwich was fine and my husband's hot dog was good but very messy as one would expect. The fries weren't very hot. It was just OK. $29 before tip

A very sweet older woman was our server. She made sure we were well-tended to and we had everything we needed. I ordered huevos rancheros with red sauce. It was very good. It came with flour tortillas on the side. The tortillas had nice flavor and were very soft. They were different than tortillas I normally eat, but I'm used to Baja-style Mexican food. I thought the beans were flavorful, but a little on the dry side. I think they were on the plate too long before getting to me. Husband got the daily special with tacos. He enjoyed his meal and found it to be a good value. Dining room was clean and comfortable. Restroom was clean and well-stocked. If you are passing through, give this place a try. I had previously looked up hotels and saw that Mandarin Beauty was recommended by someone. I love Asian food, so I decided to give it a try. Pulling up, I wasn't sure it was the right place. For some reason, the front reminded me of a Mexican place. Walking in, there was an adorable older woman seated at a table. I asked for a table for one and she just smiled. A pretty younger lady came out of the kitchen and indicated I could sit wherever. I was the only customer in the restaurant, late afternoon, on a Sunday. The menu was larger than I had anticipated. Many of the dishes were likely popular with American tastes. I didn't want anything too heavy, so I opted for a chicken rice noodle dish and some hot tea. I went to the restroom to wash my hands. The bathroom, like the rest of the restaurant, needs some help. It was clean, but a refresh would go far. Near the bathrooms and kitchen, there is a buffet station. It was larger than I expected. (Buffet is not available at dinner.) When I got back to my table, the tea and food were waiting for me. The portion size was bigger than I expected. The rice noodles were cooked just right, not overcooked. There were far more vegetables than I expected, which was a welcomed surprise. The chicken was tender, flavorful, and plentiful. I enjoyed every bite. I went to the pay and the total was a little less than $20. I only had two 20s, so I gave the pretty lady a $20 and asked for change, wanting to pay the bill with my other 20. She gave me the difference from the price of the bill and the 20. I giggled and gave her the other 20 and asked for change. Then, she realized what I was asking. Unfortunately, it seems that business had been slow, because I got a $5 and a bunch of dollar bills. I left the change from the bill and a nice tip. As I was leaving a truck pulled up. I hope they got some more customers that evening. I plan on returning on my next trip through!
