If you haven't been before, the vibe at Raising Cains is fun - think disco balls and Elvis art with a crown on top. The counter folks were all friendly, and I wasn't expecting that they would deliver food to our table, but they did. The food at Raising Cains was good, but didn't live up to all the hype for me. No complaints about the food, it was good. But my expectations were fairly high after hearing lots of folks talk about it. The chicken was crispy and not greasy as fried food can be. The fries were good -not soggy and not overcooked. I'm still assessing my thoughts about the sauce. I didn't feel like I was overwhelmed by the taste, but I did keep going back to it and dipping my fries and chicken in it until it was all gone. So maybe I liked it more than I realized? I'd give it a solid 3.5 stars. This was a 35 minute drive for me, so I'm not sure I'd go out of my way to do this again because of the distance. But we had a good meal here and a pleasant experience.

If you're looking for a freshly made sandwich on great bread with quality cold cuts, this is the place. If you're expecting a typical Subway-style franchise sandwich, keep driving. That was the best spot to get some food to recharge, so I decided to take a walk down memory lane and get an Italian sub when I got off of work. The staff was inviting, and the place still looked and smelled the same as it did when I was a kid. There was plenty of meat on the sub with all the fixings, and of course, I complemented it with plain Middleswarth chips. Being from Pennsylvania, you have to eat it with Middleswarth chips! My mouth was drooling looking at the sub, even though the roll itself felt very hard. With the first bite, I went right down memory lane, sitting in my grandfather's green Ford Ranger. I scarfed it down, but well... I was disappointed. The bread was so hard that it almost scratched the roof of my mouth. The cheese was just bland, not bursting with flavor, and the salami and pepperoni slices had no flavoring to them at all. I think the only thing that saved it was the hot peppers that I added. To make matters worse, I also noticed the bathrooms were dirty, which is never a good sign. I also felt very slow and sluggish afterward. I don't think food is supposed to do that; food is supposed to give you energy, not slow you down. I do not recommend this place for a sub at all. I'd rather get one from a pizza shop or even Sheetz--and I think all Sheetz food tastes like cardboard, but that's just me. I hope my review helps you decide where to get your sub next!

I'm struggling with two or three stars for this review. I visited this location today and…read moreyesterday and got the same meal both times. Yesterday, there was nowhere to sit and as the line was out the door, I left and drove through the drive-through. I had my order in moments. The young man who took my order was friendly; the young gal who handed me my food was delightful and smiled. My sandwich was good but the fries were cold and felt stale. Day two, the line was reasonable with maybe five people in front of me but we just stood there forever. As the two customers in front of me left the counter, both cashiers walked away at the same time and, after a moment, returned from the back with sleeves of Styrofoam cups and were trying to refill the cup dispenser. A manager, I think, saw what was happening and leaned over from the drive-through area and asked them to wait on the growing line of customers that by now was no longer reasonable and reached out the door like yesterday. When I placed my order, my cashier was friendly but soft-spoken and didn't seem to have any urgency about taking my order or the restless customers behind me. I feel like someone ought to sit and watch what goes on and try to troubleshoot what the holdup is. Within three minutes of sitting down at a clean table, I had my food. The sandwich was fine and the fries today were extremely hot and fresh almost as if to make up for yesterday. The restaurant was clean, staff friendly, but they just don't have it together here. If you're in a hurry but still want to eat inside, I think the thing to do is order at the drive-through, get your food then go inside and eat if there are seats available.

I'm so glad I did! A 15 minute bike ride, and a 40 minute bus ride got me there.. The young guys that were behind the counter complemented me on My tattoos, and made me feel extremely welcome. I knew exactly what I wanted, despite everything on the menu looking amazing. By the way, I will be back for the hot chicken. But I digress... I got a classic, and added cheese and bacon. I also ordered bacon cheese fries. The atmosphere of the place was so inviting and quaint I knew I had chosen the right place even before my food came. I hadn't eaten since breakfast so I was wildly ready for this meal. But nothing prepared me for what I saw when they called my name when my order was ready... I stuck my fork into the fries first, golden brown and smothered in bacon and cheese. The second my fork broke the surface, clouds of steam rose off, as they were piping hot. The burger, nestled in a half rap of chef's paper, screamed at me the dive into, which I did immediately. A few minutes and a few pictures in, I questioned whether I could finish everything but as you can see from the final photograph it was really never in question. However long I have to wait to come back to this establishment it'll be too long. Go there!

While the restaurant had some positives, the food itself left me disappointed. A few highlights from my visit: Conveniently located along one of the area's main roads. Plenty of parking available in the shopping center lot. Both indoor and outdoor seating options. Clean dining area and well-maintained tables. Customer bathrooms available. A customizable soda fountain with a wide variety of drink options. Unfortunately, the meal didn't live up to expectations: My noodles arrived cold. The food took a surprisingly long time to come out. By the time it arrived, the temperature of the dish made it difficult to enjoy. The restaurant itself was clean and easy to access, and I appreciated the seating options and ample parking. However, when the main attraction is the food, it's hard to overlook a cold entrée and a lengthy wait. Overall, while the location and facilities were perfectly fine, the meal itself was underwhelming enough that I probably wouldn't return. There are too many other dining options in the area for me to choose this one again.
