New staff did not have any recommendations when I asked what's the best thing on the menu (my first time), and then they proceeded to hand my sandwich to another waiting patron and I had to wait additional time for a remake. They gave me my drink cup and then honestly by the time I got to be able to eat it, if looked "ok" but would NOT recommend Jimmy John's if you're looking for a quick, quality lunch on a weekday. Meh. Twice now I've been here hoping for great things. But both times were not great. First of all, ALL they have is provolone cheese. That's not a horrible cheese but I think its the least fun on a sub. So that's sad. Also I heard that they have excellent tuna. I love a good tuna salad. This, for me, wasn't. It wasn't chunky or filling, it was dry, and it was FILLED with celery so I felt like I was eating a lettuce sub with celery flavored pate. The bread is supposed to be great but it hasn't been..both times. So yeah. Just meh. I purchase a doordash order for 2 sandwiches @ 8:30 pm for delivery. The store proceeded to call and state that they could not complete my order due to not having any driver available.... But I specifically purchased through doordash so that DOORDASH could find a driver so that the store did not have to find a driver of their own. We then proceeded to ask for the order to be changed from delivery to pickup to accommodate their concerns but that couldn't be done either. The store doesn't close for another 30 minutes and I am confused as to why they will not fill our request. Needless to say, I wouldn't purchase anything from this location after 8 pm as it's clear the staff would prefer not to work after 8 pm. read more

I used to love Jimmy John's and my favorite was always the Beach Club. It's been a couple years since going and I was talking it up to my boyfriend, who's a sub lover. Took him there for his first time and I was so excited, but his sub was the most pathetic thing I've ever seen. When he unwrapped his sub, he just stared at it in disbelief because there were maybe only 4-6 slices of meat on his whole Giant sized sub. For how expensive those subs are, they should be able to afford putting more meat on. So this is my two subs today from Jimmy Johns. Ones supposed to be a Pepe with no substitutions, the other a Beach Club with no mayo and extra avocado spread. I checked my bag when picking up and they forgot the ranch and pickle side. So I hopped back in and grabbed some. Get all the way back home and the Pepe is literally nothing but ham, tomato, and cheese (no lettuce...) and the beach club is missing the turkey entirely and almost no avo spread when I asked for extra. Called and spoke to an assistant manager who tried to refund the order and due to computer issues, wasn't even able to. DOUBLE CHECK YOUR ORDER. I've gotten my order messed up twice now. Used to be a great place to grab a sub when I was in Harrisburg but recently their service has gone way down. Sister had ordered on the app and they forgot the meat on her turkey sub and the lettuce and tomato on my Pepe. When we called the store all the manager said was "well what do you want me to do about it?" And blamed the mistake on new employees. Today I stopped in and the menu has changed so I ordered my usual, a Pepe but now it's called a ham and provolone. Ordered that but the sub I received just had meat and cheese. Manager remade it when I said it was missing lettuce and tomato but rudely told me "well you ordered wrong. You should've said you wanted a Pepe." I told him the menu said a Pepe was now called a ham and provolone but again I was berated that it was my fault for not ordering the right item. The service is fast and friendly whether you're doing delivery, pick up, or dining in. I am a big fan of the Italian night club: their version of an Italian sub. I also love the beach club: turkey, avocado spread, cucumber, provolone, lettuce, tomato, and mayo. Yum! The bread is a nice balance of chewiness and crisp texture. Typical Jimmy John's. Sometimes I stop here and my sub is ready "freaky fast", sometimes I come here and I wait when there's no one else there. Never any real issues with the quality of our subs. They don't put as much avocado as they used to in the veggie sub, but I get it. Avocados are expensive! Always get the added hots- always makes the sub that much better. We'll be back because it's the closest one to our house, but I don't go out of my way to eat here. read more

My manager bought lunch for everyone on shift at the hotel I work at. We had a $50.00 order. It turned out that one of the hotel guest had called to complain about the slow delivery times. Jimmy John's banded our hotel and will no longer deliver to us because complaints count against them with the corporate entities. Now they're saying that they shortened their delivery area. I didn't know we had any in the area but after finding out that Jersey Mike's took roast beef off the menu, I had to try JJ's cuz they still had it on the menu. So I ordered the Hunters Club and my friend got the Vito. Wow more than $3 less then the other guy! The Vito was perfect to the specs. My Hunters Club missed on just a few items. My extra onions were barely there and the EZ lettuce was way too light. The bread was yummy as were the seasonings. I will definitely go there again! read more

I was not wowed by my first visit to this chain. I'd rate it a half notch above Subway. After my first bite I was wishing I had gone to the local pizza shop two doors away. It wasn't bad, but nothing about my sandwich was noteworthy. The most positive thing I can say is that they made the sandwich really quickly - actually they were handing it to me before the girl at the register could figure out how much change to give me! I had never heard of Jimmy John's before moving out here, in the suburbs of Harrisburg. They left a menu outside my door. The price was right, so I ordered a Vito which is an Italian sub. It was fantastic. The bread, meat, cheese and veggies were better than any other chain sub shop I've ever been to. And at 4.50 for a 9 in. sub? Fantastic. I became a vegan recently so the options here are limited. They have a vegetarian sub with provolone, guacamole, bean sprouts, onion, lettuce, cucumber, and mayo but I can't really eat dairy. Subway at least has a veggie sub where it's all veggies on a roll, your choice of sauce. Which is why I am giving JJ's 4 stars. read more

Saw a sign for it on I-83 and decided to turn around and go back. I've seen these places around but never tried it. I'm very glad I did! I see complaints saying there isn't much meat. In my opinion the meat portion is perfect. I don't like my hoagies stacked up with a ton of meat. In my opinion it's the perfect bread to meat ratio. Everything was fresh, real meats not processed garbage like other popular franchise "sub" shops. I almost forgot to mention fast! By the time I swiped the card and paid the food was ready!!! As a former employee here I can say that jimmy johns tries its best to make a good sub for a good price and an even greater speed. Although it may be a little on the pricer side nowadays it was excellent back then. I would recommend this location if you're in the harrisburg area as it's plenty of space in the dining area and the staff has always been friendly! read more

Their ingredients are fresh and delcious. The staff was extremely friendly and informative. They usually ask if you want peppers. They are slightly vinegary, spicy, and extremely tasty! Any sub shop that only does subs are fast and Jimmy's is, most sub shops have a friendly staff and so does Jimmy's and like most national type sub shops ie subway and blimpies they don't give you much meat and Jimmy's doesn't either, I ordered a #14 club which is double the beef and it came with 2 pieces of turkey and 2 pieces of roast beef , all of the paper thin cut variety, even over lapped it only measured 3/8 of a inch, the taste was good and they have great ice. read more

I was hesitant to try Jimmy Johns but one day we wandered in and I was hooked. The bread is amazing (LOVE the french). Then we had a pretty bad experience. I sent an email off expecting an email response someday. Within 48 hrs I received a call from the District manager apologizing. A few minutes after that the franchise owner called me to apologize. A little while after that the business coach for the area called me. Talk about customer service! Other businesses should take a lesson from Jimmy Johns on how to treat your customers. We order from this place, literally, once a week. It was to be twice this week, since it's my birthday my aunt was treating me. Well, apparently, according to the manager with a bad attitude on the phone, they don't deliver to us. We are 2 minutes down the road. 2 MINUTES! And, as i said, we order once a week.
