Everything I have ever eaten at Five Guys has been delicious and well prepared. The prices? Very high compared to competitive establishments but, in my humble opinion, the price is worth it. This particular location of five guys is super accommodating and clean as a whistle, just as one expects at a five guys. A frugal friend accompanied me recently and we ordered cheeseburgers and fries to eat there. She was blown away by the quality of the burgers and the exceptional fries which were given to us in abundance. However, she almost fainted at the price. Ok. I've been a five guys customer for years and love them. So I will of course be back. This is a review of the management and tech at this location. I ordered online from the parking lot because my dog was with me. My order was estimated to be ready in less than 12 minutes. Cool. Within that time frame I received a message thanking me for picking up the order. What? Now I'm wondering if someone took my food so I go in. I ask about my order and am told it will be ready in a few minutes? What in the world? At this point I'm frustrated because my dog is in car (running). I'm trying to ask about what was up with the mixed messages. I suspect it is a way the manager or staff improve their fulfillment time numbers but it could also be an issue with tech messaging app or set up. Or a training issue. I do know this. Someone needs to figure it out or it will cost that location and/or your franchise customers and $$. I imagine I'm not the first or last to have this issue. The Five Guys menu is super simple burgers,fries and milkshakes. You can also get hotdogs or a grilled cheese and soft drinks. I got a little bacon cheeseburger and a little order of fries. They always over serve the french fries, so a small order is more than enough for two people. The toppings on the burgers are endless as far as choices and the milkshakes are super delicious. A little burger just means you get one patty versus a regular burger that consists of two patties. They assign you a ticket number and call you by number when your order is ready. The staff is nice and the service is speedy. The restaurant is well lit and clean and comfortable for dining in. A little on the pricey side for burger and fries. Anyway, I usually get the grilled cheese although it's grossly over priced and the fries with the Cajun seasoning, which are to die for. Now that that's out of the way, let's get to "this" Five Guys. Went to place an order on uber eats that was accepted & said our order was being prepared. 45 minutes go by and we get a message from our driver that there was a paper on their door that said they're closed. I call into the restaurant and the manager picks up saying they were indeed closed and weren't able to fulfill my order or cancel the Uber eats. As far as I know their website says open and the order was accepted on Uber. Now it's an inconvenience as a customer for me to message Uber and explain why we didn't get our food and why we should not get charged for this order. Stopped in just after the place opened on a Sunday. We waited about fifteen minutes for the food which wasn't bad but I noticed a lot of conversation behind the counter which probably accounted for some of that wait. As we waited for food, I have to mention the overwhelming self-congratulatory decor that reminds us how awesome the food is according to various local or regional magazines. There's a bulletin board inviting people to write love notes to Five Guys. There isn't a wall that isn't an advertisement, so it's like the restaurant's theme is Boldface Narcissism. I'm in the restaurant. I've already ordered the food. Maybe kiss my butt a little and tell me how glad you are I didn't go next door to the pizza joint or the Chinese food place or the Mexican restaurant within throwing distance? Maybe it was the high standard the walls set for our experience, but the burger and fries were not the rapturous experience they implied. It was just...okay. It was a bit undercooked, probably because the line was distracted by whatever they were discussing while working. The fries were...okay. They were a little limp but better than the average fast food order. As I sit here reeking of onions ... I fondly look back on my lunch today. I had a small cheeseburger with lettuce, grilled onions, grilled shrooms and pickles and the 'regular' Cajun fries. Phoned the order in with a co-worker to avoid the maddeningly long lunch lines and while we had to wait to pay ... our order was ready! After I opened the bag ... I asked my co-worker if he had mistakenly ordered the large fries instead of the regular. Nope. But the Five Guys signature oil splotched brown paper bag was a veritable cornucopia of fries. Seriously, I shared with two other friends and then ended up throwing half out because we couldn't eat them all. And they were good too! The only negative I have on this Five Guys is the long waits associated with the newness of this location and that the floor in the store entrance was super greasy. Skidded a bit on the floor mat on the way in and then again on the way out. Hope this was only an anomaly for today. read more

Five Guys is not fast food even though it's burgers, dogs and fries. It's made to order heavenly burger yumminess with a variety of no-extra-charge toppings and hand-cut fresh french fries. When you order your burger, you tell them exactly what you want on it-- sauteed onions, mushrooms, cheese and A1? Ok. Lettuce, tomato, onion, cheese, ketchup and mayo? Yup. Pickles. Relish. Green peppers. Jalapeno peppers. Hot sauce. All options for you to mix and match. The only topping with an additional cost is bacon. Your burger (which is actually two fresh, never frozen, hand formed patties) will come freshly grilled and well done but juicy. There are no words for the incredibleness of these burgers. They're so good, I don't even care that 'incredibleness' isn't a word. Then there's the fries--oh, the fries. Clearly never frozen from fresh potatoes, they are brown, sort of crisp, sort of soft, and perfectly salted. There's even a sign on the wall that will tell you where your fries came from. Today, they were from Teton, Idaho. That's cool. They'll come in a cup and when the cook puts them in the brown paper bag with your sandwich. he (or she) will throw in an extra scoop on top just for good measure. I love that. Oh yeah, your order will be served to you in an environmentally friendly brown paper bag. No trays. Drinks are refillable, self service, small or large. I had a blend of the sweetened Luzianne iced tea and lemonade, one of my favorite beverages. I love this place. I could subsist solely on their fries. Go there, eat and be happy. read more

There is nothing wrong with a little Five Guys in my life. And for a chain you really can't go wrong. The burgers are juicy and delicious and you can pretty much get anything you want on them. The bread is so soft it practically goes into the meat when you take a bite. The fries are excellent. They're fresh cut and when you order for pick up they don't start them till you arrive so they're fresh. And everything travels well too. It tastes just as good when you get home as when you eat there. The prices are a little steep for "fast" food but its worth it because it really hits the spot when you want a good burger and fries. read more

I don't know about everyone else but I love a lot of Cajun seasoning on my fries and you don't even have to ask for extra seasoning to be pleased. Stoped in tonight for a quick bite. I haven't been to Five Guys for years so I was excited to see if the food was as good as I remembered. I got a little cheeseburger (single patty) and a regular sized fry. Total bill was over $10. I was a little shocked at the price point. The food is made fresh to match what you ordered so depending how busy they are there may be a longer wait. Thankfully Five Guys provides peanuts for you to munch on while you wait for your order. I placed an order for pickup for a burger and fries, not too difficult, I don't think! I stopped by to pick it up, and waited about 5 minutes (employees looked at me and there was no one in line) but no one acknowledged me. I finally approached an employee and said my name and that I was there to pick up an order. The employee called to the other workers to let them know, and none of them responded. I could see all of them clearly- they were not busy. If there had even been one other customer, I would have understood they delay. I've been busy and unable to meet demands immediately, but this was NOT the case. These employees were wandering around aimlessly, except for one fellow who cooked the burgers occasionally. Then another man came for pick-up, they called out his name, and the other employees at last responded. When I finally got my order, they had put an empty cup in the bag and then dumped all the fries on top, which would not have been a huge deal, except the bottom of the bag was so greasy that upon picking it up, the bottom of the bag broke and my burger and fries fell out on the floor. This happened DIRECTLY in front of an employee, who said nothing, until I asked if I could have a new bag. He sighed, rolled his eyes, handed me a bag but did not offer new french fries or burger. This will definitely be my last visit- I was always an avid 5 Guys fan, but the service was enough to make me feel at best unwelcome. Five guys is my favorite 'fast food' burger. They are always on point at this location. I can't recall a time they ever messed my order up- and I go pretty often. I love the ordering online option, and getting my food without standing in line. I typically get a little bacon cheeseburger with extra everything, and they always deliver. Extra at five guys really means extra, and I totally appreciate that. I know this is going to sound weird- but I am not a huge fan of the taste of beef. Yeah I know -_-. However, because five guys really loads the toppings on, I am able to mask the meaty taste of the beef and really enjoy the burger (well mostly toppings) :). This location just did a remodel and they offer milkshakes now! This has been the best addition to the place. My go to flavor is coffee and it never disappoints! I think I will be paying them a visit really soon. read more

Here's the deal: I've tried some really great burger places, but Five Guys is the best chain, and even rivals independent joints. Highlights: Fries are abundant! Service from staff is polite and more than excellent. The new-stye soda towers have SO many choices. Lastly, and most importantly, the burgers are SO GOOD, that my wife, who is NOT a burger fan AT ALL, will not only not turn down a Five Guys, but she will finish her burger before you, guaranteed! Tip: If you go by yourself, it can be a tad expensive. However, if you go with a friend/spouse, etc, you can easily share a regular fry and drink with your own Little Cheeseburger each for about $15 total. *This review applies to all of the Five Guys i've been to in Harrisburg and Philadelphia PA and that random one in NJ that we went to! read more
