I have been to this location before on several occasions and every time I have been satisfied with the experience. Inside the restaurant it has been clean and stocked in the drink and condiment area and the tables are wiped down. The bathroom has never been gross when I have been there (the women's bathroom anyway). The parking lot is a bit confusing if you aren't familiar with the Michigan lefts but otherwise it's pretty open and accessible. The drive through is always prompt with good customer service and getting orders ready and out the window. I go in the morning on my way to work and get my breakfast from Christine and she is always so pleasant and friendly. I used to be a big fan of BK but after the last several trips there, I won't ever go again. I personally watched the cook making my cheeseburger by taking a cold burger out of a pan above her head, slapping some cold cheese on it and then putting it in a microwave for about 15 seconds. I had been wondering why my food was always cold when I got it. Now I know why. I can't imagine how safe it is barely heating a burger that's been sitting in a pan since no one knows how long. There was almost no one in BK at the time, and it still took more than half an hour to get our food. The fries were stone cold as well. It's just sad to go there anymore and there are way too many other places to go where they still actually cook your food. Very disappointing! read more

The drive through worker we encountered was incredibly rude tonight, but that aside, most important issue is we had a really concerning issue involving food safety. We asked for a whopper junior with no sauce (ketchup, or mayo) due to a food allergy and the worker argued with me that only ketchup comes on the Whopper Junior. Ok, whatever. No ketchup then, and definitely no mayo. He marked the screen with "1 whopper Junior no ketchup", not "2". I asked to confirm that they both would have no sauce, and he said yes, they won't have sauce. Funny though, we get home and both of the burgers have mayonnaise, and one has ketchup??? So, either we were lied to out of malicious intent or they have no basic knowledge of the food they serve. Simply put- You can't play around with food safety like that. Rudest rudest rudest drive-in experience I've ever had. Have a hard time hearing clearly thru speakers. Ordered the meal. It was read back to me correctly but screen displayed a different order. So I wanted to be sure the order was correct. Was snapped at on the speaker 'I JUST READ THE ORDER BACK TO YOU". Same tone if I had said something like she was worthless or ugly or stupid. When I said I just wanted to make sure bc the screen was wrong she responded in the same tone "THE SCREEEN ISNT WORKING RIGHT" Had enough. Parked and went in to find the manager. Nice enough fellow. Sort of a weak apology. More interested in taking my order which I gave to him only bc I was picking up for an elderly relative who is wheelchair bound and didn't want to disappoint her. Flabbergasted that after that kind of rudeness they're want an offer to comp the order or discount it somehow. Said he'd talk to the woman running the drive thru but I have my doubts. Quite possibly the worst service In all of Grand Haven. Have fun waiting in a 5 car line for 30+ mins. No sense of urgency in any of the workers. You look through drive through window and see everyone joking with each other and laughing. Quite literally 2 times in a row I look through the window and see workers dancing. Staff is all friendly and outgoing. Besides one worker, usually taking drive thru orders. She sighs during my orders as if she is overworked or annoyed with me. I personally come to pick up orders from Burger King for the Preferred dealership because of my relationship with the rest of the staff here. I recommend relocating or reconsidering this hire. The past couple times I've been to Burger King we've had quite the mess of issues. First day they gave us the completely wrong order, asked our name then gave us someone else's, luckily we caught it at the window and they gave us what seemed to be the right order based on drinks and the receipt on the bag. Silly us, should habe checked it because instead of our spicy chicken meal and bacon king we had two whopper jrs, and the coke tasted more like Rootbeer and Dr Pepper mixed together. We called in and got things fixed. And then today we went again and I got my usual bacon king but it had.. 2 full prices of bacon and 2 tiny pieces. I would be ashamed if I was the manager or owner of this particular Burger King. Took over 15 minutes to get our food through the drive up. There were exactly 5 cars in front of us. When we finally got up to the window, one young man was the only person working as others were high fiving each other and screwing around inside the store. Another individual was leaning against the counter in the cooking area yawning uncontrolably. The two people who were high fiving was one chunky white girl with glasses and another black thinner young person sporting a short and scarce beard. When I arrived at the window they did not have diest soda, the machine was out! Ended up with a Diet Dr. Pepper. I asked if I could get extra tartar sauce on my fish sandwich and it was left untouched on the counter as the two individuals continued screwing around. I will never patronize this Burger King again. We have not quite yet reached the speaker to make our order, but right off the bat our experience is already less that satisfactory with the second lane closure (see attachment). We have a dragon express trip in 20 minutes that we are going to have to hop the guard rail to be in time. This flirtaous behavior makes me feel like I'm watching the worst love island episode, with the duration of this line being very comparable to the forty minutes of the episode. They charge for condiments. Then they don't and then they do. All I wanted was a container of BBQ sauce for my hash browns. They offer no condiments but after the order the tell me I am to be charged a quarter for the (1) one BBQ I request. I ask how much it is worth for me to pick up my tray and throw away the trash I create. The surly burger griller snarls and turns her officious back after a perfunctory wave of her hand. I suggest that as long as reasonable condiment requests are met with charges and nasty attitudes that no customer picks up the trash from his/her table.
