Took my family to the Gig Harbor, Washington location today for lunch and the service was terrible. It looked to be the manager, she had short frosted blonde hair, and she was yelling at her staff for not knowing what they're supposed to do. She told them I'm tired of telling you this every day how to do your job, and she went on and on shouting at them. She was very rude to her employees and was constantly yelling and belittling them. I was waiting for a long time for our food, and during that time I wanted to ask her why she has to yell so loud that everyone has to hear her in the restaurant. What I didn't like was she was waiting on the drive thru orders before getting our food, we waited a half hour. I get it that it was lunch rush, but why should we be last when we ordered before many of these cars... There were also other people inside waiting for their food and wondering why so long. People in the line shoudn't have a priority over people in the restaurant waiting, we're in a hurry as well getting somewhere on time, just like them. They should do ALL orders in order not inside last. The food was also cold, the fries were cold, but we couldn't wait another half hour so we left. I hope my kids don't get sick from the cold food. The worst part is the manager yelling like an idiot. They have a now hiring sign up, why would anyone ever work there is out of their mind! I wouldn't put up with that abuse! In one word, terrible. I have been here many times over the years and I can honestly say that the food here is indeed gross. Stopped today for a quick bite, couple of burgers and some nuggets. All of it was stone cold. The bun was cold and stale. The cheese was cold. The patties were slightly warm at best. The condiments were cold. The nuggets were cold and seem like they were cooked hours before my visit. I did not even finish the food. The back of my receipt has an offer to review the restaurant but the front of the receipt does not have a review code printed on it, which is required to start the review. Crap, crap, and more crap. Today I tried one of their new marinara and mozzarella chicken sandwich. It was around 11:00 am when I ordered, the sandwich came cold, bun was cold, cheese was cold, not even close to melting, even the chicken was cold. Hello, Burger King does not need to be doing DoorDash.Employees are so rude to people who are picking up DoorDash. Lobby was closed drive-through had maybe 15 people in line. All I had to pick up was a burger and onion rings staff would not let any one in. If it's going to be that long, don't be doing DoorDash because there's employees don't really understand the time that DoorDash actually has to pick up the food and drop the food off. If me doing, my job is to get people their food I will get them their food, but, Burger King employees, do not know customer service There are five people working in the store that I could see. There was enough staff for the lobby to be open, at least for pick up orders and there are already reviews that say the food takes to long even when people order their food online. Something needs to change . Also the employee working around 1:30pm on Monday July 3 the girl with the crazy looking lashes was very rude. Instead of opening the door to talk she continues to try to talk to me from behind counter when the door is shut. She is an employee that is very disrespectful and should have at least had opened the door and had a decent conversation but instead wanted to be rude. I tried to go here on a Saturday night at 8:30 pm and their dining room was closed. The only option was to go through the drive thru. So I took my business to Carl's Jr to eat their Beyond Beef burger instead of BK's Impossible burger. Also, Carl's Jr dining room is open until 10p. read more

We rarely do fast food but needed a quick fix to tide us over. At the drive thru, I ordered a cheeseburger with just cheese & pickles on it for my son as he doesn't like the condiments that come on most burgers. We got the order from the friendly folks here and it smelled delicious! Well, sadly, when my son went to eat the burger it literally only had cheese and pickles in the wrapper . I found this funny and would normally just crack it up to bad communication on my part but I replayed the conversation in my head and had definitely asked for the cheeseburger with meat, pickles, and cheese. This is only a one star because of how silly putting cheese and pickles in a wrapper is...and if someone truly just ordered that would it really be the same price as a cheeseburger? It doesnt surprise me that this BK has such a poor rating. This facility is ran by grumpy, incompetent people. They cant even send food out the window that isnt already cold, so dont drive away at the drive thru. Check your order, make sure its correct and actually hot. I complained about their service and was told to come in and get my order reimbursed, so I did. But the manager (not the grumpy old guy, but the slobby looking frumpy guy) was bent out of shape and was also grumpy. Claimed they were out of coffee and even yelled "make it hot charlie" to add an extra taste of saltiness to their mistake. Sad part is, Charlie still sent out a medium warm croissant sandwich and ur establishment needs new management. If I get service like this ever again from here I will take my complaints to corporate. read more

We're new in town and thought we would get lunch at Burger King but after standing in line for about 15 minutes (we were only 2nd in line) while the two employees slowly moved around, we looked up the rating on yelp. Two stars. That explained it. The reason we turned around and left before ordering was (per Yelp) four days ago somebody ate here and got sick. That was enough information for us. This Burger King is and always has been the worst place in town. From the rude manager to his unhelpful workers, clearly this needs new ownership. I went there for my last time today-no more. Previous experiences have included being insulted by the manager for my choice of condiments, incorrect orders and change, and long waits. Today I walked in for breakfast at 10:30. Breakfast ends at 10:30, the person said. I asked if they had anything leftover or could make something. She just kept repeating her line- breakfast ends at 10:30. When I review chain restaurants I like to look at it from the aspect of what makes THIS one different from the hundred others. And really there isn't anything that jumps out. Went to the establishment tonight at 7:45 and the lobby was closed. Called and was told that they closed the lobby early so the lady could clean the lobby before 8p.m. Also the biscuits have changed. They use to be good and crispy, now their doughy and raw. Called and talked to manager about it and he said they must of pulled them out of the oven early. This place has gone down hill. I decided to update my review, unfortunately not for the better. I didn't go to this BK for several years after my last review and then started giving them a chance again a short time ago. I don't know if this is still the same owner but nothing has changed for the better. A couple of times I tried to go here they were closed when they were supposed to be open because the workers didn't show up. That's clearly an ownership/management problem. Every other time I have gone here they have been out of something I wanted or it has been discontinued but it's still on the sign. The last two times, one a couple of months ago, I wanted the cini-minis. Last time they were out of them, at 6:30 AM! Today they were still on the menu and I tried to order them again but I was informed that they had been discontinued. I got a CROISSAN'WICH and 5 minutes later I get to work and go to eat it and it was mostly cold. Gig Harbor BK owner, if you are reading this then get your act together! Your BK restaurant is the worst run one I have ever been to, and it's run bad consistently for years on end. That is and owner problem!! read more

Everytime I come here to grab a quick bite to eat something goes wrong. The girl at the drive thru window was extremely rude and they took forever for just a few items- I think the longest I've sat at a drive thru window. Especially when no one came telling me what was happening-making new fries, etc. Got home and the fries are covered in salt, not even edible. The Burger King location in Gig Harbor, WA has got to be one of the all time worst customer service experiences that I have ever had. We had three seperate complaints regarding a drive thru person that kept messing up our orders and was quite unpleasant to deal with. As a customer you should never have to deal with an employee. On the third occasion of this person not including part of our order and us having to drive 8 miles back to the store to get what was paid for and was not included in our order, the manager on duty offered to comp our next order of the same items, which was nice of him. But when we went in two weeks later to use our comp offer. It was a different manager and he treated us like we were trying to swindle him and it took 15 minutes for him to agree to give us the comped meal that we were promised. We decided to give this store one more try and when we ordered two days ago from the drive thru, Both the managers were there and distracting the drive thru girl at the window with jokes and stories, till she messed up our order again. We had to knock on the window to get her attention and reminder her that she forgot give us one our soda's that we ordered, (we ordered a coke zero) but instead of paying attention to what she was doing, she rushed and gave us a diet coke with no ice, because she was too busy not working with the managers, then we had to knock on the window again to tell her she forgot our sweet and sour sauce we requested. this is now 5 seperate instances of serious errors in a row. If this was my business, I would have no customers left and as we are a small town, and the consistancy of errors, I am guessing they have a lot more unhappy customers! read more

Morning stall is great, food is great in the morning. If you get there past 8pm your food will be cold. Not the first time I've been disappointed at this location. My burger was cold when I got home, and I live about 90 seconds away from the restaurant. I can only assume that it was sitting around, unheated, awaiting someone to purchase it. Very unprofessional. I went to this store on Dec 7 at around 6:30 PM. Besides two men chatting at a table, I was the only one in the restaurant. Two people were tending to the one drive-thru order. While waiting, neither acknowledged me - no eye contact, no head nod, no "We'll be right with you." Finally, the young woman came to the counter and took my order. I got my drink and sat down to wait - thumbing through emails and Facebook. A customer did come in and go to the counter - I think it was the drive thru - as they had messed up his order. After he left I continued to wait. Finally I noticed it had gotten really quiet. I looked over at the counter and saw no one - not at the counter or at the food prep. I got up, walked over to the counter and indeed, no one was there, though I did hear conversation off to the right, out of eye sight. Then I noticed someone in the far corner washing stuff, but he was focused on that. Finally, a young guy walked back into the food prep area, saw me and acted surprised. He took a few steps back and caught the eye of someone, getting their attention. The young woman who had helped me then walked out and up to the counter, asking me "How can I help you?", like I was a new customer. I said, "My order?" She replied, "Oh yeah... you had the... " I said, "Yep." She then said, "Sorry, our machines are all wonky and don't tell us when an order is ready." In my mind I'm thinking, my order is the only one on the screen, I am the only one in the restaurant to place an order, and you have no drive-thru customers - and you need the machine to remind you?! A food prep person then came out and hurriedly made my burger (and you could tell). The young woman apologized again when giving me my food, but, honestly, by that time I was too mad to care. read more

Many times when I come through this Burger King the drive-through experience leaves something to be desired. Usually I only come to this Burger King because it's the most convenient place for me to grab a quick bite on my way to work when I have to work on weekends. And the lady who pulls the morning shifts on weekends I think her name is Hannah is always Surly and rude always mumbles through the ordering process has the tone of voice sounds like she really doesn't want to be there when I get up to the window I always feel very rushed no pleasantries no good morning no nothing like that but I've worked in food service and customer service before I do understand sometimes of the day you really just don't feel like putting on your customer service face. What really rankles however is that when I get my breakfast sandwich and hash browns and coffee I typically ask the server at the drive-through window to add the cream and sugar to my coffee quite frankly it's a little bit of a shuffle to do so in the driver's seat of a car and the majority of the time the coffee is poured and sitting there next to the window while the server waits for the food. I understand that it's not necessarily company policy at every place to do this for someone it's merely a courtesy. So this specific lady that always is working when I'm there simply refuses to add cream and sugar, again not a problem I have been to several other Puget Sound Burger Kings however and made the same request and had my cream and sugar added with a smile. I ask every time and most of the time she says no however one time a couple of weeks ago I was told that it's against the store policy for drive-thru employees to add cream and sugar to coffee at this Burger King. I understand certain stores have certain policies however a subsequent time I was through and got a different person in the Drive-Thru who without friction agreed to add the cream and sugar I asked them if it was against store policy and I was looked at funny. I was through there again yesterday morning as I had to work on a Saturday once more and the Surly lady was there again and so I asked for the coffee, cream, and sugar before everything else so that I can add the stuff myself while the food comes up she obliges without comment but when I wasn't quite done when she was ready to hand me the food this was met with scoffing and what sounded like cursing under the breath. After this I noted in the bag there was no receipt so I asked for one which again she obliged but when I went to go look at the receipt because I was going to fill out at customer service report on Burger King's proprietary website I noticed that you couldn't see the order number or store number because that portion of the receipt had been torn off so I decided to write this review on Yelp instead. 1 star for rude and terrible service consistently, quite frankly the food has never been subpar and it's relatively quick the simple convenience is the only reason I continue to go there. As an aside there is a Jack In The Box that I go to occasionally that always takes forever to prepare the food however the team there is so nice every time I come through I don't mind it and because of the service I'd never think of writing a review like this for them. read more

Second time in ten days received a whopper not wrapped in box. Called manager said they were ordered not to wrap and was sorry it was so messy. Said they are switching to foil wrap.
