And as we were about to pull into McDonald's, we saw a local burger place and since we like to support local whenever we can, we drove across the parking lot to BLAKE'S. My wife was told from a former land of enchantment resident that Blakes was the place for the best burgers. We had the New Mexico burger, which had the green chilies on a double beef patty with lettuce, tomato, pickles, and onions. It was awesome! We also had the season fries, which were super good! We try not to eat too much fast food, so when we do, we want it to be worth it, and this combo meal at Blakes was absolutely worth it! The cashier young lady was sweet and friendly. The fries-station young man had a big smile. And the staff were all friendly. Inside seating area was clean. The restrooms were well attended and had to be opened by the cashier so they were safe. Overall, it was a great experience! And the drive-through line was completely full when we got there and when we left.
