Still under construction but listed as open. Why would you do this? You definitely know when your business will be operating.

The food is good and cheap! It's a nice BK, not the cleanest but I can't complain. Splurge for some Chicken Fries!

The little section of downtown Main Street where The Toasted Goat is located reminds me of the little towns depicted in Hallmark movies. The area does need some revitalization, a little sprucing up, and fresh businesses but the potential is certainly there. The Toasted Goat is adjacent to a historic hotel, the Gunter Hotel. The first star of this restaurant is the place itself. If you like turn of the century buildings, that ornate stonework, you will like this place. The inside, except for a few too many TV screens, has retained the "Speakeasy" look that it used to be. Our server, was very good, he even has a "period" look with the handlebar mustache and suspenders. Our sandwiches did take a little longer than I thought they should have at 1300 on a Monday. The colorful metal tall chairs that have at the tables likely work fine for college kids and other slender lightweight folk, but were a bit uncomfortable for us. We moved to a table near the front window that had lower chairs with traditional padding. My wife got a Turkey Rueben and I tried the New Orleans Muffaletta. We both had fires, standard but well prepared. He turkey sandwich was good, she felt the braised cabbage versus a traditional sauerkraut actually had a bit of sauerkraut tang to it- she still liked it. I have never had a Muffaletta, but I have seen them on the food shows. This didn't quite look like those, certainly not substantial like the TV ones. It was however tasty and enough for lunch. We got out for $41 and a $10 tip...so a little steep, but that's where pricing is these days. Worth the stop, would come here again if we are back in the area.

The service was friendly and speedy. I had a panini rueben which was amazing! Nice and crusty as it should be on the outside and delicious! The fries are homemade and done right!

This place needs some help in many ways…read more Their website says to call for a reservation. We were staying at the comfort inn and coukd see the parking lot looked full. We called and they said no reservations. We walked over and noticed there are NO lights in the parking lot. This made it feel dangerous with cars driving around and very unsafe. After a few minute wait we were seated. Our waitress was either new or off her game that day. Our drink order eas taken fast, but that's where the positives end. She didn't come back for almost 20 minutes ro take our order. Another table that came in after us already had their food before we even ordered! The rest of the night was like this. Someone at a nearby table went to the bar for another beer because she took so long with them too. We were ready to leave but our waitress was nowhere to be found for almost half an hour. By that point the restaurant was practically empty. It's almost like she forgot we were still there. The food was decent, but a little overpriced for what it was. I ordered bbq while my wife had the rotisserie chicken. I thought it was a little bland. I overheard our waitress say they often have people come in who don't want to wait at the other steakhouse nearby. I would say change your plans to something else. You'll be thankful you did.
