Maybe 10 nuggets of grouper, battered or breaded, then fried to perfection, tossed in their boom sauce and served with a very flavorful jasmine rice. On yet another visit, and on several more visits, I had the All Day - Every Day Fish and Chips Summer Special ($12.99). Terrific! I have also had a bad encounter with the same location before, I went through the drive-through and one of the employees never even gave me my credit card back I had to call and cancel my card and wait to get a new one by mail. Today we stopped at PT for a chicken family dinner. Today it was the best service (fast &…read moreaccurate) that I've ever had. The chicken, mashed potatoes with gravy (aside), and Caesar salad were perfectly cooked. Today 5star. Stephen took my order- quick & precise. The head gal at the delivery table checked for accuracy and provided grilled onions (no charge) & sauces as requested. I was amazed. Having an older seasoned staff is the difference. We have frequented PT for years & younger staff frequently made omissions or errors (no gravy?!!), improper sauces, too many croutons, and slow service. I stopped shopping HERE for dinner. Most likely management read my complaints as well as other's dissatisfied clientele. A $20 dinner here beats any Publix or Costco chicken special. The tastes of the marinated and grilled chicken is superior.

I ordered the Boom Boom Shrimp with a side of onion rings. It was okay, but the Boom Boom sauce just didn't compare to the versions I've had at other restaurants. The onion rings also weren't what I expected--they were more like crispy onion shoestrings rather than the thick-cut onion rings I usually enjoy. My buddy ordered the Fish Po' Boy, and unfortunately, it fell short as well. He felt there was far too much bread and not nearly enough fish. The highlight of our visit was definitely our server, Danielle she was friendly, attentive, and provided excellent service from start to finish. She really helped make up for the inconsistencies with the food. At this point, I'd say I'm one for two on my visits. The first experience was excellent, while this one fell short with that being said, I do appreciate that they offer a veterans discount, and that's always a nice gesture. I'm hoping the next visit is more like my first because I'd definitely like to give them another chance.

25 April 2026…read more I went to Steak & Shake today to buy a steak burger ... My first time at this Place and the first time in years that I visited a Steak & Shake. I was surprised upon entry to see a sign directing me to a machine to place my order. Fine. I touched the screen and searched for steak burgers. A complete menu of various steak burgers popped up on the screen and I had to peruse the entire screen searching for my steak burger with bacon , cheese , yadda yadda yadda. After accomplishing that feat I attempted to order a side of french fries. I punched the symbol for fries several times as my selection did not activate the machine into compliance. Oh well, looks like no fries today fatty boy. I'm on a diet anyway, can't ya just tell . So no fries fatty paid the machine and my change popped out. I waited and waited but no order delivered. People ahead of me and behind me received their orders. But not me. Finally after a gentle inquiry I was informed my order would arrive shortly. And so it did, minus the fries which the machine refused to give me. ( I think the machine knew I was dieting and wanted to help me out .) Boy , I sure do miss the human connection, the eye contact , the smile , the welcoming tone to the voice of the employee, who was now replaced by a cold machine. Harraumph ! In an endeavor to save money by replacing a human employee with a machine , Steak & Shake lost my money because after this experience I will be going to Burger King . If I'm going to spend my money let it be with human interaction, not with a lifeless machine. Harraumph I say , Harraumph !
