It would have been 5 stars but this evening the person cooking the burgers was clearly unhappy or rushed or otherwise disrupted because all of the sandwiches were a mess, upside down or sideways in the boxes (the burger patties slid off the buns into the box ) which is not normal for this store, which is usually excellent in all ways. The fries and onion rings were perfect, so that was a saving grace. The guy at the window was nice too. Maybe it was just an off night for the cook. Of course, we will be back. I have no pictures, but truly Culver's makes an awesome burger. In LA we had In'n'Out and second maybe the Habit but in Southwest Florida we don't have those options. They have been hit or miss lately as far as handing out food that was barely warm and very dry, let alone made to order. I think they have burgers premade and sitting, so the cheese doesn't melt like it should and it's not as warm as it should be. Each burger is SUPPOSED to be made to order. The last few orders have been not great. I'm here at least once a week. When the burgers are made to order, they are great and the fries are always good. I now only go after 5:00 pm, when it's busy, so the food should be warm and not sitting around. read more

Yes. Their butter burgers are very good. They're always busy. This review is because of their Cod Fillets. I'm from Massachusetts and Rhode Island. We grew up on cod fish. Seafoods of all kinds, actually. Coastal New England has Clam Shacks, Fried Seafood Shacks and seafood restaurants to die for. Fish & Chips are made with Cod or Scrod. Some give you a thick pancake batter. I prefer a very light batter or even just dredged in flour. My wife and I drove nearly 30 mins to the Culver's on Pine Island Rd, near Sam's Club, on Fridays, just for the Cod Fillets with French fries, good coleslaw and tartar sauce. Fantastic! With the new Culver's on eastern Pine Island we're just 10 mins away. I love their fish & chips! I'm always looking for good, fair priced, seafood. Nonetheless, we'll still be eating at Culver's. Had this sourdough melt remade twice because we asked for it without onions and this is what we got. A single onion and also some tomatoes and pickle. This is exactly what it looked like what it looked like when I opened it. Yes, all torn up like that. Hardly even edible. All I wanted was some sourdough bread with burger and cheese. How hard is that??? After remaking it twice??? We paid $60 for our family to eat there and this is what we get? Your employees are dense. I'm actually debating on driving up there and making them fix it a third time. It shouldn't be this hard I ended up driving there and having them fix it and they messed it up two more times while I was there. She said I was giving you dinner because it doesn't have the bun. I order it the same way every time and never have a fricken issue. They forgot my chili but I caught it before I left so another lady grabbed it for me. I get home..... boom what do you know there's 2 pieces of bread touching my food. This Pine Island Road location of Culvers is an awesome restaurant! We've gotten several meals from the drive thru and have been very pleased with the whole experience. The girl on the drive thru order speaker was enthusiastic, cheerful, easy to understand, and helpful. She accurately repeated our orders back to us to make sure she had them right. The food, cooked to order, takes a little longer than other fast food restaurants but it's SO worth the wait. We love the jumbo butterfly fried shrimp - big, tasty, and filling. The onion rings are crispy outside and delicious. The crispy chicken sandwich is deeply flavored. George's Chili Supreme is also complex and satisfying. Even their side salad is awesome - the container was packed with so much varied lettuce, it filled a dinner plate when emptied out. All the lettuce was super fresh - not one wilted piece - as were the tomatoes and croutons. So glad to have a new, quality favorite nearby. Try them soon! read more

This was my first time to a Culver's. I had never even heard of it before. It appeared to be an upscale fast food restaurant. The decor was nice and the outside appearance had me thinking it wasn't a fast food place until I saw the drive thru. In terms of the food, it was alright. I wasn't particularly blown away by anything. I don't normally care for fast food burgers, but this one was decent with higher quality ingredients. The crinkle cut fries were ok, same with the cheese curds. I did try the Culver's Root Beer. I'd have to say that that was my favorite part of the whole experience. Every time I visit this location, I am pleased with the food and service. However, whenever I order my food and they ask "anything else?", I ask for some ketchup. They typically humor me and list ketchup on the screen and receipt. My expectations are so high, until I forage all four corners of the bag and yet again, no ketchup. I don't really know what it will take to get a packet of ketchup or two, but I will withhold one star till then. read more

Well I want to give this place a better rating, but the accuracy of this location is so poor that I just cannot bring myself to do it. I ordered 3 meals. 2 identical bacon double meals with fries and chocolate shakes. 1 other bacon double meal with mashed potatoes and gravy with an unsweetened iced tea. They were nice enough to ask me if I wanted ketchup packets for the fries, to which I replied, "Yes". The meal was delivered within a few minutes. I went to drive away and my kids are like, "Dad, where's the shakes?" I had to run in and get the shakes. Then I drive away and park. No spoon for the mashed potatoes and gravy was included. No napkins. No ketchup packets for the fries. So here I sit squeezing a cup of mashed potatoes and gravy into my mouth like it's an Italian ice, getting gravy all over my beard and mustache. The burger was pretty good, but WAY too much onion, so it overpowered the flavor and I had to pull 2/3 of it off. The kids' fries were pretty good. Fries are crinkle cut and crispy. Mashed potatoes and gravy were not bad. I haven't tried the potatoes in my beard yet. The kids shakes were very thick and fairly chocolaty. They were tasty and the kids loved them. Overall, not a terrible experience but with a little attention to detail, it could've easily been a 4-5 star review. If it were super busy, I'd understand, but it was 3:45pm and there were only a few people inside and I was one of 2 cars at the drive thru. You pay at window and then they place a blue placard on your car and have you move up in the line. Your food is brought out when ready. The Food: In my opinion, way better food than any other fast food chains. Keep in mind it's pricey! My food has always been prepared fresh and food is cooked when ordered. Excellent: Fried Chicken - Burgers - Chicken Fingers - Onion Rings - North Atlantic Cod - Chicken Sandwich - Fresh Frozen Custard - Shakes OK - Fries (nothing special) - Cheese Curds (way to much breading) - Reuben (very good tasting - not enough meat, does not cover bread, so you get bites of just bread). Many other menu items I haven't yet tried. Overall - good experience and great food! Oh - by the way - they are human and make mistakes. The manager went above and beyond the call to make sure mistake was corrected - and compensated with free food coupon to ensure my return visit.
