When you visit a place like Ft. Myers you have food options on about every corner. Therefore, it's always a gift to find a spot that feels homey and authentic. Philly Junction gives off that vibe. The decor is hockey and other Philly sports jerseys and other items to remind you what you are about to receive in Philly food. Signs out front shows me that I'm not the only one who rates this place high. It's been noted as best cheesesteak place in SW Florida three years running. I'm not talking cheese whiz phillys but real good authentic cheesesteak. Also, if from Pennsylvania you can slug back a can of Pennsylvania Dutch birch beer. The best part is the staff. Really nice people. So grab a sandwich and soda and enjoy Philly without a blizzard going on outside read more

The first time eating at Philly Junction and I loved it, I got the traditional Philly cheese steak and added peppers I would have liked extra cheese I will do that next time. The french fries are hand cut and double fried they are fabulous! Will definitely be visiting again there's so much on this menu I want to try everything cheesesteak, but I can't wait to get back from some of the breakfast items. Even though I'm a Yankee fan I will certainly be rooting for Philly Junction! read more

This review is specifically for their food truck at Slipaway. The experience started with pricing issues. The menu listed my sandwich at $15, but the cashier rang it up as $16. Prices change, so I let that go. However, for two regular sandwiches with tax, the total was $34.08. After I tapped my card, the payment screen showed PAID $35.10. They added a service fee without any warning, signage, or disclosure. Then the cashier refused to provide a receipt. The food itself was disappointing. The sandwiches came with no side and as you can see in the photo, there was far more bread than meat. This was a disappointing experience and not a place I'll be returning to. read more

Disappointing, Came in for a takeout to try a regular steak/whiz/onions. Asked for peppers on the side. Got home, no peppers and the size/portion of meat on the sandwich was more bread than meat... You might want to take a trip up to Philadelphia to see what a cheesesteak should be like. Try Leos steaks or Dracos near the airport. This sandwich wasn't even close read more

Phila Junction 10-3-25 I have eaten here many times when the old owners were there, but I had to give it a try since the new owners took over to see if they still had great Cheese Steaks. After 166 reviews in this area and being one of Yelps top 3 reviewers I encounter a weird problem. It was not the food per say but someone that worked there. Let me explain I ordered a Cheese Steak and Fries. My wife ordered a Ham Sub. She asked our waitress if she could get Swiss Cheese because American does not set well with her as it will make her ill. Waitress said Yes, no problem. When our food came out my Cheese Steak was very good as was the Fries. My wife's Ham Sub had American Cheese on it which she removed right away and told our waitress about it. She said she was sorry and would go and get Swiss for her, but my wife said no. We paid our bill and wrote on the receipt ATTENTION TO DETAIL. We were outside the business finishing up their review video when an employee from this place came outside and started yelling didn't, she tell you she would replace your Cheese? I ask her what's your name 3 times, but she would not tell us. My wife stated yes, she did but it's our right to write on the receipt. The employee then stated didn't you ever have a bad day and stormed back inside the building. I thought what a shame as their food was not that bad, but this ruined the total experience. I give this place 1 star. Follow Me On FB For More Reviews & Fun Gulf Coast Terry read more

We have eaten here a lot over the years. My hubby is from PA and every now and then wants a taste of home. The last couple of times it has not been the same. We just went yesterday and the decor is so odd now. It's like farm ish chic/ French bistro ish looking. The walls are shiny white and the rest is navy blue and the comfy booths are almost all gone replace by very uncomfortable and banged up chairs. I don't get it at all. The food is still good, although I noticed that the cheese steaks use canned mushrooms which is such a pet peeve of mine. Have I just never noticed before? Or is this a new owner thing. I miss the old place, all it needed was a fresh coat of paint and a little clean up. But nope... We have to turn it into some farm French cafe looking thing. With super uncomfortable and old banged up chairs. read more

Great cheese steaks (with your choice of cheese) and onion rings! Our food was served by a very friendly and attentive waitress. Since we was born in Philadelphia and lived in the area all my life (until our move to SWFL last September), we loved the Philly sport teams memorabilia that adorns the walls. We will return soon. read more

Photos taken 6 months apart, all of the character, warmth and coziness has been stripped away, and replaced by drab white and grey. The cool yellowed vintage posters now dont make sense against the sterilized backdrop. If the owner reads these, I think grey/white minimalist design is on the way out in the next 5 years or so, people are longing for rich colors and unique atmospheres. Unfortunately youve already bought the supplies so I dont see it being changed again any time soon, just unfortunate such a cool place was dismantled. The food is good but a large part of why people leave their house and spend a premium over home cooked meals is for the experience/atmosphere read more

Went for a sandwich this afternoon and this place didn't disappoint. I had a Philly with peppers and onions. Delicious. The meat was tender and more than enough. My husband had the Philly slugger. It was chock full of meat, peppers, onions and mushrooms. For side items we had coleslaw and onion rings. The coleslaw made me think I was back in Massachusetts. Delicious flavor. The onion rings were ok. Christin our server was amazing. She checked on us often and made sure our drinks were always full. This place has been around for a long time but I never went to it. This is changing today. We will definitely be coming back. The restaurant was super clean. read more

I was advised by other reviewers that Philly Junction was the best in Philly cheesesteak. The restaurant appeared to going through some renovations as workers were fixing things while customers were there for food in store and pick up. The cheese was very fine in meat delivery. No sign of the cheese. Had to ask for some cheese to be added into the sandwich. Given "Cheese Wiz" as a poor substitute. Our server was very friendly and helpful. It's not a true Philly cheesesteak. Growing up in the NYC area I was used to a true cheesesteak sandwich with ajur gravy and cheese running down my chin. The owners maybe from the Philly area but they need to learn how to make a good cheesesteak sandwich. read more

Went to see what all the hype is. There is not perfect Philly Cheese Steak unless you live in Philly, and even there you can find 2-3 versions. I was not overly impressed, the meat was chopped too fine for my taste; no evidence of Au Jus, (I prefer to have it running down my face when biting into) and little evidence of cheese. We ended up getting the Cheese sauce on the side. Making a Philly Cheese Steak is one thing, but don't try to convince people that it is the best in Fort Myers. The search continues... read more

I've been by the location quite a few times and finally said I am trying it! I love cheesesteaks so I wanted to put it to the test. I ordered the Cheesesteak with onions and a side of the rings. Over all I would rate this a 6/10. It was a decent steak but a little too wet for my taste. Made bread soggy pretty quick. I also enjoy my steaks with cheese wiz but i did not see the option on the menu. The rings were pretty good I added a side of ranch to dip and it paired well. Service was great. The waitress was very attentive to everyone and kept up with all the tables. The location has a very dinner/apple bees style feeling. Decor is sports related and mainly Philly teams. Plenty of space for big and small groups. Parking is abundant since this is a plaza with multiple businesses. read more

Love their food but so disappointed in their attention to detail. I have been eating at this place 3-4 times a week for over 11 years!!! However, when ordering through door dash they ruin my order 30% of the time. Just this week I ordered three times from this restaurant and two times they loaded and covered my sandwich with onions. Even though every single time I order, I put in caps, "no onions... Extra cheese, extra mayo". I love the fact that they acknowledge extra cheese and extra mayo and charge me extra for it, but yet still cover my food in onions. Absolutely unacceptable. I don't care that I got my money back from DoorDash as for I cannot eat these and they are not edible for me and now it's too late to have what I want ordered. Teach your cooks how to read please. read more

I only gave it a 3 because of the service and decor. being from Philly for 64 yrs we know cheesesteaks and pretzels. while visiting our friends, philly transplants, we came here on a random suggestion from another Philly transplant. we all ordered cheesesteaks and a Philly pretzel, which we were told was authentic. authentic in shape but not texture. a Philly pretzel has a semi-hard crust and a soft inside. this pretzel was soft inside and out. now to the cheesesteaks. my first thought was "where's the meat". not much meat on the roll. The ends of the roll was all roll, no meat. my first bite I noticed a strange taste, spice. I couldn't pin point what it was so I waited to see if anyone else had the same reaction. our friend asked his wife "did you get onions on yours " he was asking because he doesn't like onions and couldn't figure out why his sandwich tasted funny and wanted to be sure he didn't have onions on his sandwich. it wasn't onions, it was something else that we couldn't figure out. all 4 of us only ate 1/2 our sandwiches and took the other 1/2 home. needless to say, we didn't eat the other 1/2. none of us got sick so it wasn't that the meat was bad. when I paid I asked how long they had been there, thinking it was new. I was told 25 yrs but on the 4th owner. These are not authentic cheesesteaks and Philly pretzels. Still on the hunt for a good authentic cheesesteak when we visit our friends in Florida L from Philly read more

Food: 10/10 ($15-$25/per person) We ordered the pretzel with cheese, fries, and original cheesesteaks all in a different way and all of them came out perfectly! Tasted amazing! We poured some of the cheese on top of the cheesesteak and it was delicious! The meat had a very good tasty flavor, everyone at the table agreed it tasted really good. They use a very soft bun too! The fries were super crispy and the pretzel was really good with the cheese dip! We also ordered a French Dip to go and it was delicious also!! The Italian hoagie looked absolutely amazing. Anything you get on the menu will be amazing! Service: 10/10 We came in and it was pretty slow and we sat where we wanted with no problems! Our waitress was very nice to us, took good care of us & was extremely prompt; got our order right and drinks stayed full during our visit! We always appreciate a good meal with good service! Highly recommend coming here! (Reminder to tip your server!) Ambiance: 10/10 It was really nice! I really enjoyed the area, it has outdoor and indoor seating. The outdoor area only has a few tables but the indoor area has decent seating. They have a lot of Philly decor and funny things around the restaurant to look at. We luckily sat at a table with a 25 reasons you know you're from Philly poster and it was really funny especially reason #1 lol. They also had some funny names for some things on the menu lol. I definitely recommend coming in and getting some original made food! read more

Cheesestake was served in long hotdog bun, making it only 2/3rds the length you get from the offerings at a local sub shop. The meat was OK along with the sautied onion, but the cheese was sometype of clear sauce that did not seem like what should be in a cheesesteak from Philly. For the price, I expected something much closer to what I had in Philly. read more

Very run down place , the onion rings were good . The Philly lacked meat and they used canned mushrooms . How gross . Hardly anyone there took 15 min to get my order . Let's just say Philly would be embarrassed to say there sandwiches suck. Also have your blonde waitress clean up a little ( she looked like she rolled out of bed ) . This restaurant is under new ownership and has really gone downhill. There are no more booths anymore, old white tables in chairs on a white background will blind you when you walk in. Bring your sunglasses! Also there are almost all new servers in which our last visit it took us 45 minutes after I ordered to get 2 steak sandwiches as the young black server was too distracted to check on our food then had to wait 15 minutes to get our check after we were done. There were no people there maybe two tables besides. I would recommend going somewhere else for better service and food. read more

Love the food, best cheesesteaks outside of Philadelphia. Staff is very friendly. Philadelphia decor.

We had tried their food truck a few weeks ago and decided to try the actual restaurant itself. I have to say it was not as good as the food truck. I had a Philly cheesesteak and it just didn't taste right read more

Went there with the highest expectations as they advertise the best Philly around. Seemed like a nice place. The hostess was nice, seated me right away. Menu looked good but I went with the signature cheesesteak and fries. Everything came out hot. However the Philly had no taste to it....none. the cheese was so melted I couldn't even taste that. I've had better , and I kove cheesesteaks Fries were good but the ketcup....oh my. It sure wasn't a brand name or else their cutting it with vinegar to make it last. Inedible as it tasted like straight vinegar with food coloring. That alone ruined everything. Keep in mind, while they seem to do quite a bit of takeout, it's a sit down restaurant. When I go to a sit down, I realize this is SWFL and very casual dress, but I dont really want to see a waitstaff/manager/owner (couldn't tell what her position was) working with stretch shorts so tight they totally went up her butt crack. It was quite disgusting to see. Cmon, wear something a little more professional. And also dont take a smoke break outside the front door and then throw the butt on the ground. Tacky! The hostess's apparel was very nice. I saw another review on how they bill. It was quite confusing as the prices did not match the menu. At this point I just wanted to leave and not bother. Lesson learned. Go back? Nope. read more

Nearby restaurant was jam packed do we decided to try something different in hopes of finding a gem. Have to say there is plenty of room for improvement. Service had their heads in the clouds. This review is for the food truck that brought out to our community event. This is probably one of the best I've tasted. Now I've never been to Philly and don't claim it's the real deal but I love food and flavor. This cheesesteak did not disappoint. My son is a huge food critic himself and he loved it. Service was fantastic and quick, but we were there early before crowds rolled in, even still I would've been happy with waiting seeing how good the food was. Truck itself stands out and had no shortage of advertising, you definitely knew what they were selling before you got up to the truck and food smells sucked me in. I will definitely be checking out the actual location next time I'm in the area. Keep up the great work. read more

Have tried the Philly and just now I tried the chicken cheesesteak tonight as am supposed to switch to white meat more. As someone who grew in PA and have had some amazing cheesesteaks in both Philly and in my hometown it takes a lot for me to give my seal of approval. These guys get it the closest w the Amoroso rolls, Seasoning, and fried onions. Also I really like the other messages where it's clear the owner really gives a damn about customer service, so I appreciate that too. My only wish is that the Pennsylvania Dutch birch beer was orderable via grubhub/postmates or I'd be all over that :) read more

Came in for the first time. I've been wanting to try this place for years. Went around 12:00 and the Booths were almost all full. We were greeted and told to sit where ever was open. Did not take long for the drink order. I asked about the local favorites and ordered from there. I had a Philly with onions, mushrooms, and peppers with cheese. It came out timely and very hot. Hot off the grill fresh. The bread was crunchy but very soft on the inside. Beautiful Philly. The place feels like a local shop which feels so much more authentic than these chains. Great food. Extensive menu. I saw a Philly cheesesteak salad and they also serve breakfast. They have grits so that should tell you how much range they have on the menu. I have to try the Italian hoagie next time or at least after I perfect the toppings to make my perfect Philly. 8/10 I would recommend. read more

Have been going there for the Philly cheesesteak for the past couple of years. Was there today and disappointed they are not serving Amorosa rolls anymore which is what makes the sandwich. Good food, great service, lousy hours! Looking for a gorgeous, fancy presentation? Go elsewhere! Looking to impress your date with a romantic ambience, you won't get that here. Looking for great comfort food and a great waitress, the combination of Stephanie and this 20+ year establishment is the bomb! Stephanie clearly loves her job and seems to be happy to see you no matter how busy she is. She is personable and attentive. For you take-out folks: you don't know what you're missing by not dining in with Stephanie. I do hate to say it because this place was jammed full of people (regular customers) with take-out orders piling up last time we were here. If I sing their praises too loudly, there won't be a table available for us! My husband just loves the sausage sandwich from Philly Junction and says it is the only place that he can get sausage that "tastes like home". My only complaint is their hours. We live in Cape Coral and often times by the time we think about driving over the bridge to Fort Myers, it is pushing closing time (they close earlier than most).
