Diamond in the rough! I was looking for a place to eat and use the restroom and saw this on Yelp. We didn't realize you could go in because it looked like drive through only, which was fine. We got in line and while it took a long time (so if you are in a hurry don't stop during lunchtime!) the food was delicious!! The burger was very fresh and juicy and the fries tasted like they were fries in something that would cook pastries! Very flavorful! So glad we took a chance on this place! Hand cut fries as well, the service is excellent but be prepared to wait a bit during the lunch hour but well worth it. I absolutely love coming to Ralph's! I was first introduced to this local spot a few years ago, and I will always make it a point to stop each time I find myself visiting the area. Truthfully, there is not too much to this place. The restaurant is primarily drive-thru, having two lanes on each side of the building. There is also a walk-up window at the front that you can order at as well. They have a breakfast menu that is served until 11AM, and then their regular lunch and dinner menu available for the rest of the day following. On a typical visit, I find myself stopping here for breakfast. There are several options, but my absolute favorite is the Sausage, Egg and Cheese with Double Meat. One thing to note is that their breakfast sandwiches come on hamburger buns, instead of something like a bagel or a biscuit. It makes them unique, and truthfully one of my favorite breakfast sandwiches of all time. Their fountain drinks are the best, as I can never visit without getting a nice, crispy Diet Coke to sip on. Also, I have had their milkshakes, and they are a delight! I would recommend mixing the Oreo and the Peanut Butter - yum! Personally, I feel this place has an excellent value for the price. For two people to eat breakfast and get drinks, we usually spend around $16 dollars. We typically switch up exactly what we get, so it's always different, but I always think that it is a great value no matter what. Recently, they have implemented a 3.5% fee for using a credit card, so I would recommend paying in cash to avoid the fee if possible. The staff here is always friendly and hospitable. It seems like they retain a lot of staff and they usually work the same shifts, so they get to recognizing their customers and knowing them. Even with operating a drive-thru and wanting to likely get customers through, they still take the time to converse and provide a great experience. The owner is very friendly, and you can tell he takes great pride in both the establishment and the customer experience. I am not local to the Chiefland area, but I look forward to eating at Ralph's each time I come to town. I would highly recommend it for anyone looking for a quick bite to eat, with excellent customer service, and all for a great value. read more

This was my first time eating at Ralph's Burger House and I wasn't disappointed! Everything was excellent and nice sized burger unlike the fast food joints do. You definitely get your money's worth! This place is setback off the road and not on the main drag which passes through Chiefland, FL so a bit harder to find for people just driving through but easy access for regular cars and pickup trucks. It's a drive though burger joint but also has a walkup window for walkup orders. Very friendly staff who work quickly to fill the orders. They have a small parking area with a few picnic tables if you don't want to eat in your car. It's right next to Circle K so easy access either way. read more

We where passing through and saw the 4.5 stars and thought this must be great. Two lines where long and the wait took forever (40minutes around noon on a Saturday)so we knew this had to be good. And fresh! Nope frozen prepattied burgers you get in the box type like at Walmart. They read our order back to us at order and before giving us our food but still missed my kiddos chicken nuggets. We called to get the refund and the First Lady on the phone was rude and short. The Second Lady said she would have to call a manger and didn't know how to do that. A local favorite that commonly has a line of cars at the drive thru. My first time here was awhile ago and I just remember thinking the burgers were ok but after reading so many 4 and 5-star reviews I decided to come back. Unfortunately I had a bad experience the second time around and I don't want it to come across like that's the reason I'm rating it low. Rating mostly reflects the food. I do want to mention the bad experience because I think it's worth noting. There are two sides to the drive thru. We were in the right lane behind only one car. An employee poked her head out of the front window to take our order to move things along quicker. It was super awkward though as the front window was nowhere near our car and my husband who was driving had to yell our order to her. He happens to have laryngitis which he tried explaining to her but she still stood pen in hand waiting for us to scream our order across a wide space. I ended up having to yell our order from the passenger side which I found awkward and embarrassing. We finally get up to the order window and the lady who handed us our drinks was super nice. Drove up to the second window and another lady handed us our food. She repeated our order to us which was two quarter pounders with cheese, mustard, pickles and onions and onion rings. When we parked the car to eat our burgers, I found only one burger in the bag. Now we paid with a 20 and got 6 in change so I knew we had paid for two burgers. By now the line of cars was long so we walked up to the front window. Luckily the woman remembered we ordered two because the cook was arguing there had only been one. Finally! We received our second burger. Y'all 4 and 5-star reviewers... I'd love to know what you ordered. The burgers tasted mostly of pickles. Incredibly mediocre at best. My first time eating at the Burger House and I must say it was very good. The french fries were so hot that I had to wait for them to cool down in my burger taste very fresh. I had the quarter pound hamburger, small fry plus a large lemonade and it was only $6.75. It is drive-through only but has ample parking and picnic tables outside to sit and enjoy your lunch. My friend and I stayed in town over the weekend to do some hiking. In the two days we were here we ate at this place both days. The first day I had the single burger and my friend got the double. Very very good, the burger patty it's self had just the right amount of hold to it without being over greasy or dry. we finished those off quickly. Their large drinks are humongous. The medium was more of a large that I was used to so i knew how to order it for the next time Second day I got the fried chicken sandwich and it was delicious. The fries were freshly made as well and had a very nice crunch to them. I also got the strawberry shake and would definitely recommend.
