We got their food another time and it was great so we ordered last week. I should say we tried to order. You cannot order directly from Burger House. You have to go through one of the delivery companies. The link we hit came up as Caviar. We entered the order and selected Pick Up as my nephew was driving by there on the way from his house. We could not get the order paid-for online as their system would not accept either of 2 different Visa cards nor an AMEX card, all of which had been used in the past several days. Their system simply recycling back to the input screen. I told him he would have to pay for it when he picked it up. Their response at the restaurant was "No order". He asked them to check the system further and said they didn't seem interested in doing so, so he left. We ordered from Liberty burger instead and had what was probably a better meal, anyway! read more

When I noticed overpriced chili dogs on the menu I went for it. I know burgers are the house specialty here but the chili dogs are so good. They are very generous with the delicious chili too. Nowhere near as good as the original location on Hillcrest. Was so disappointed because I grew up eating Burger House in University Park, and my husband loves it too. We just moved not far from this location and were excited to have one close by, but this is terrible compared to the original. The patties have no taste and are dry, the bread is different, dry and toasted to where it was stiff and crunched (and NOT in a good way!) and my husband was so annoyed he wanted to leave upon getting our food. How can this place use Burger House's name if it's not the same product?? Totally misleading! And wild that the prices are the same if not more expensive (it was over $50 for 2 burgers, 2 fries, onion rings and 2 sodas) than the University Park location for a crummy location and place in comparison. The food is delicious, but almost every time I come through the drive through at night, no one is working. Right now, you have an hour left until you close, and I'm reading the yelp review I'm currently writing into the drive through microphone. A man has come to the window twice, waved back at me, still no one at the drive through. It's quite comical, really. I guess they just stop working a few hours before close and hope no one comes through. Or maybe just wait until they leave? It has been several years since I have been at Burger House. The building is very old, and looks dirty. It needs repairs, and some major updating. The hamburger was tiny and cost $5.45. No taste at all. The hamburger bun has an odd taste to it. The onion rings were $5.00. Not only were they extremely overcooked, they were greasy as though they had been fried twice. With a drink, it was over $12.00. Not only is it over-priced, the quality is very bad. The prices on other items, is entirely too high for the lack of quality/Quantity that you receive. Purely one star review solely based on the actions of what I can only assume is the manager or owner. I've loved burger house for years. I drive from far away to enjoy what is to me, one of the best burgers and fries around. Today, I am disappointed, as a former manager of a facility there is a time and a place and a way to address your workers. As well as being aware of customers in the establishment. I feel it was extremely inappropriate for this "manager/owner" to be yelling and cursing at his employees about putting fries in the fridge and taking out trash, saying f this , f that. Maybe if they had a better leader, they could work more efficiently. As, far as the staff goes. Today just like the last time I ordered on Uber Eats from Burger House....I specifically asked that the fries be "well done / crispy" and once again they failed completely. They sent soggy white under-cooked fries. The bacon on the burger was barely cooked as well. Took my family here after leaving the mall today and it was amazing. Well worth the cook to order wait. Got double cheese burger, cheeseburger, chili cheese fries, and kids meal grill cheese!!! OMG that house blend seasoning salt was AMAZING!!! The lettuce, tomatoes, and pickles were all fresh and crisp and the burger patties were juicy and tasty. This is our go to place when we feel like having burgers. They're on Uber Eats, which makes it VERY convenient. I know I can place my order, and within 20 mins I've got a delicious burger at my door. If you've never had it, I'd describe the taste as what the original Whataburger likely tasted like before it became a big chain with some nice garlic seasoning. It's authentic, feels homemade, and the bag always has a little grease at the bottom, in a good way. It's got the juice factor that all great burgers should have. They aren't flavorful enough to stand on their own but are crisp enough to not get soggy with toppings. The fries stop being edible if they aren't piping hot. The burgers were messy- thin burger patties overdone with condiments and loaded up with chopped iceburg lettuce that lands everywhere except in your mouth. I started going here about 2 months ago after craving a burger and wanting to support a local business. After continuing to come back (3-4 times) I slowly realized that I'm not a huge fan of the food... The burgers are thin and the bun is almost soggy, which makes me think it's been microwaved. I have no idea. The fries are way too over-seasoned with salt & pepper. They put too many onions on your burger/hot dog. The cheese is literally just cold shredded cheese on top....The specialty grilled chicken sandwich is ehh. The bacon wasn't cooked enough and the lettuce was soggy/wet and didn't taste fresh/crunchy. The original BH (onHillcrest) is cash only, so I tend to frequent the northern locations, like this one. BH is fast food style and is probably MOST like Whataburger. Thin patties with mustard and veg, tasty. If you prefer some more meat, go crazy with them. This location had pictures of patrons with as much as 20x20. (20 patties, 20 slices of cheese, whoa baby!) I ordered mine with cheese and bacon and was a happy camper. I also got fries that are always hot and crispy with the dusting of their special salt. If you aren't a fan of cumin, you may want to skip the seasonings. BH is consistent and fresh and a local favorite. Don't expect a hoitty toitty gourmet burger and you should do all right. read more

We actually had the Bacon Cheese burger (always judged by the classic) and a chili cheese dog. It wasn't until afterwards I learned about Hamburdog upgrades! The burger was squished thin, and packed with flavor! The chili on the dog was excellent! The seasoned salt on the fries was $MONEY$!
