B has been talking about Burger Crush for a long time. He wanted to take me here since last year but because I am not always downtown or in Vancouver, it made it hard to take me here. Finally I made it here and I have to say the burger were very tasty. I had smashed burgers before but it wasn't as smashed as I expected to be. The outer edges were not caramelized and crispy. The burger itself was a bit messy but I don't mind. We ordered a milkshake to share and we both enjoyed the milkshake a lot. Service was good. The decor of the place was quite nice. It had this kind of retro feel to the decor. I would definitely come back if I am in the area.

Went to burger crush for a late night dinner last Friday! A smashburger place that also does vegan burgers is pretty rare. You first order at the till, but they give you a number and deliver your food to your table. Honestly for a fast food chain, the service was actually pretty good - everyone was polite and quick to help with questions. Restaurant wasn't overly busy but had a constant stream of customers,, but I think it was because of its location - just off of the Granville area. Not too loud inside. I ordered the crush fries and a single cheeseburger. Honestly just eating plain fries would've been the way to go!! They are made fresh and super crispy. Honestly really enjoyed it. The burger was just okay, nothing special and tasted like what you paid for. The sauce was pretty good though; I think it was reminiscent of the shake shack sauce. We also had a chocolate vegan milkshake and it was actually really tasty! Didn't have a chalky taste that you sometimes associate with vegan drinks. One thing they can work on is that their floors were kind of slippery - not sure if it was just the day I was there but could end up being bad for some people.

Double is better then the Single Crush Fries are a better version of In-n-Out Animal Style Fries

Yup, I am a late adopter but aren't you curious what one of the most critical no bs Yelpers think about this? Was in downtown, bumped into the pre-fireworks crowd jamming at this joint. Which was noisy. Busy night. Menu is fairly simple. So you are not going to get decision fatigue before ordering. Went with double cheeseburger, crush fries and a chocolate shake. The burger was remarkably fresh. It is as tasty as Shake Shack and simple as In-&- Out both super popular joints in the south of the border. It is tasty, with their secret "crush" sauce, most likely a combo of mayo and tomato paste + something else. Msg? It was umami but I didn't get the msg headache after so maybe not msg. SERVICE was fairly good, given how busy the place was, somebody actually wiped the table just before we sat down. The burger is decent for the price point it is above fast food but slightly less creative than Bin 4 and Ramsey's. Mid range is probably tops in town. Crush fries on the other hand was so so. Was expecting poutine of sorts but turns out it is fries covered in their "crush" sauce. As others have said this makes the product super soggy. Choco shake is over the top sweet. Sweet tooths will probably think it is perfect. Overall this is a great meal for the price. Not quite fine dining prices but the product is of high quality. Service is decent. Is it worth the hype-yes. Would come again.

The burger was great and the fries were amazing. Great place for a fast bite. The service and music is good. The place was clean and they have unisex bathrooms. I would recommend this place.

Service was friendly & fast. Was a cool diner. The fries were great--new oil! The double cheeseburger may be the best I've ever had! Yum

I got the vegan burger and a vegan orange shake and the shake was definitely the star of the show! The burger was also great, but as someone who used to love a thick White Spot milkshake and can no longer have them, this was sooooo delicious. Vegans and non-vegans at the table all agreed! Very friendly staff helping us, too. Convenient location downtown.

First time visitors. Burger Crush definitely satisfied our burger cravings. The cheeseburger was super filling and delicious. The crush fries were good, I do wish the fries were larger in size. The fries severing was huge. The orange milkshake was delicious, tasted like an orange creamsicle!! Ample free water at self serve station with ice. We would definitely come back for the burgers and milkshakes. They have Canadian ketchup which I previously didn't like (bought couple years ago at Safeway and tasted more sour and bitter)but this tasted just like Heinz. Value is good. 12.50 for burger with huge portion of fries for $5. I did notice manager doing really good job. I believe he was sitting in corner working and not micromanaging. For being by Granville strip the place was very very clean. This is super respectful towards staff. Appears staff are well trained and know what they are doing

Single cheeseburger and side of fries

We went around 4:30 pm as early dinner. Ordered two kids meals and one single cheeseburger and fries for myself. After two takeout orders and maybe one woman who ordered a drink to go, we were the only customers there. Cashier (Asian female) was great. Very friendly and let me have my onions grilled at no charge. She seemed really diligent about restocking things and was constantly on the move while we were there. The food kind of reminds me of In-N-Out. You'd just have to pay extra for fried onions. I like that the fries weren't too salty, but they're skinny fries and for some reason, I guess I was expecting them to be chunky fries for $5/side. Kids meals at $11 each were a very reasonable deal. They come with a burger, half order of fries, and juice box. There are cups and ice available for water which can be dispensed. I liked all of that. Kids were adequately full after finishing their meals and some of my fries. Bathrooms (2 single room all-gender) were okay. Toilets could have been cleaner on the seat. I'm not sure why there are no hooks for purses, but there was a change table in the one bathroom which is helpful and on par with a place that offers kids meals. There's a plug at each table which I liked for when you're out and about in the city and need to recharge your devices. I don't know that I'd go back again for myself, but maybe I'd get the kids' meals and then a Pokeritto for myself and that would probably be an ideal picnic in Robson Square.

Heard a lot about the smashed burgers here and decided to give it a try. Parking here sucks unfortunately. Can't offer much advice. The place has a 1950s feel, with the pastel style panelling. The sockets in the seating area have USB plugs too, which is nice. Special mention. Staff are friendly and cheerful. The menu really just has 3 burger options, 2 of which are vegan. That made it easy to choose. There are maybe 10 items (including drinks) on the entire menu. Probably one of the simplest menus I have ever seen anywhere. The double cheeseburger I had was indeed quite good. Nice and juicy but not greasy. I didn't try the fries as I was too poor. This place isn't cheap. Looks like they have milkshakes too. Decent place to check out if one wants a burger fix. Can't comment on the sides though.

Too much sauce.

What I liked: Service, Atmosphere, Fries. What I didn't like: Burger. Yeah....I know I need to explain...since it's a Burger joint. Ok..here it goes.... Everything about the burger on its own was good. The bun, the sauce, the patty, the cheese, the pickles....you get the drift... But, there was so much sauce that not only did it overwhelm all the other flavours, but it ended up just being one soggy cheeseburger with the bun literally disintegrating. (see pic.) When you choose to use a soft bun for your burger you have to treat the application of the sauce like it's Plutonium. Only a minimum amount and carefully measured, or else you'll just have a wet sponge of a bun. The sauce itself tasted great and the bun was the butter lettuce of buns, but a pound of sauce on a single patty cheeseburger ....is like throwing a bread crumb into a bowl of whip cream and calling it a cream puff. When you specialize in burgers you have to design the burger like it's under a microscope. Why has McDonald's lasted a million years? Well....because they measure everything that goes on that bun like it's going extinct. Consistency. Familiarity. Precision. Another massive company in the business of coffee follows that basic, yet simple and powerful recipe. I'm sure you know who I'm talking about. Well....that pretty much sums it up for Burger Crush.

Was curious to try this place, as I heard it is compared to in-n-out in many reviews. And as someone originally from LA, I've had my fair share of in-n-out. (Spoiler alert: I would not say it tastes like in-n-out). The place itself was a cool atmosphere, very "trendy" and a mixture of tables and communal seating. I came here on a Saturday around 3pm and it was busy. Waited about ~15minutes for my order and ate it there. Got a single cheeseburger and would give it a 7/10. A pretty good burger with lots of toppings. Would've loved if the lettuce was more crisp, as I was missing that crunch (the downside of shredded lettuce). The sauce was tasty, but honestly could've used more flavor or some kind of spice kick. It was also around $12, which I found to be a bit pricey, but most places are these days.

Staying downtown overnight we woke up hungry to rain outside so we knew a long walk for breakfast…read morewas not in the cards. Luckily we found The Templeton right around the corner. Solid reviews on Yelp had us on the way. What a great little spot! There used to be so many diners of this style, it's a shame so many are no longer there for us to enjoy a simpler time. It's 100% diner right down to the mini juke boxes in each booth to the red and chrome bar stools. Even found an old Kellogg's individual cereal box display like one we had in my parents diner in Ontario, that was very cool! The service was spot on with our two servers working in unison to get waters, tea, orders, delivering food, cleaning up like a well oiled team. They even have old fashioned milk shakes and an Hamilton Beach machine to blend them up. WOW, nostalgia. The food came out quickly and was cooked exactly as we asked, and it was plentiful and a solid breakfast for the price. My potatoes were a little greasy, to me, but everything else was perfect. The bacon, three slices, of good quality and perfectly crispy as ordered. We will most certainly return to The Templeton when downtown again. Our hotel close by, not so much, but this little gem, unquestionably!

After going to a local sporting event and looking for a late night bite to eat, we decided to come give them a try. The interior is quite minimalist, and the menu is simple. My husband wanted to try their bacon cheeseburger while I ordered a classic cheeseburger. We ordered one set of classic french fries and one set of poutine fries. While they were preparing our food, we made our way down the long hallway to the back where the speakeasy was located. We just wanted to peek our heads in, but didn't stay for a drink. The cool thing about Hundy is that the speakeasy will serve their food while apparently also serving up some tasty cocktails. But back to Hundy and the food. The cheeseburger was absolutely delicious and the french fries were cooked to crispy golden perfection. As for the poutine, it was some of the best that we had on our trip. So speakeasy aside, if you're looking for a good burger in Vancouver, I would definitely come check out Hundy.
