Two visits. The burger was REALLY greasy. The curly fries were fried to a crisp and crunchy (YUK). The french fries were nice and soft, but COVERED in salty spices.. the salt was all you could taste. The Chicken Tenders were delicious. The chicken quesadillas were good ...but really SALTY and they used super salty cheese, and they were slightly spicy (not necessary...wouldn't bother everyone, but the SALT might). The Onion Rings were perfect. Really nice onion rings is not enough reason to go back, however. Ordered a Kobe burger and it was pretty average. I also ordered carne asada fries, but I wasn't pleased with it being spicy (I dislike spiciness and there was no where on the menu about its description). I like how they cook the food fresh for you and they come out pretty quick. Prices seem reasonable. There seems to be plenty of seats inside. I would give this place another chance and try other items on the menu. Something might make me give them a higher rating next time. read more

I just moved to Glendale and wanted to check out because of the good reviews, but honestly, this place is OKAY at best. I had the "grilled" chicken burger and here's the problem: 1. It had the smallest chicken fillet I've ever seen! 2. It wasn't grilled, it was pan-fried. 3. The burger had so much mayo in the bottom portion that the bottom bun fell apart. 4. The avocado was really guacamole that had turned dark. 5. Ooh, the fries were over seasoned and soggy. Honestly, this burger was so offensive, although I'm a food snob, that I just it threw it out. The best part of the meal was the bottled soda I got. I think my wife said it best: "Yelp is becoming a very unreliable source!" If you're planning to come here, you might have a better burger at Jack in the Box across the street (can't vouch for Jack though because I've never been there, but I'm sure Yelp gave it 4.5 stars). read more

Had food delivered to my house using Eat24. Carne Asada Fries and Double Decker, were both amazing. Was a little dissapointed that the food came a little later than promised, but the quality and taste was so good it didn't hinder my rating. If you're with 2 people and you want to eat but not explode from eating too much, then order one burger and one carne asada fries. It's the perfect amount where you feel full and not dissapointed by all your life decisions. The Asada Fries looked good in the picture and it really got my attention. In short: the Burger Bun is a purists burger joint that gets everything right. The Boss Burger (featuring cheese, onion rings, bacon, pickles and thousand island) is a perfect 10. I'll definitely be back. The burger was delicious and the taste actually made me nostalgic for the flavors I grew up with in the 80's. The beef, seasoning, sauces, chopped iceberg lettuce and sesame buns are exactly as they should be.The presentation is clean and the neatly wrapped burger was like a gift from someone who truly cares about what they create. Came here after a long day at work. I walked in and immediately noticed how squeaky clean it was -- that was a great start. I personally liked the colorful walls and decor but it might be a bit overwhelming for others. I ordered the Bun Cheeseburger combo with fries and a drink. It did not take long at all, but I must admit that I was the only person ordering with another person already enjoying their meal. The burger is not too big or greasy which is great. The patty is not too thick and overbearing. It looks like is too thin, but once you start eating it, you realize that it is the perfect size. Our family of four (two adults, two kiddos) came here for my husband's birthday (we came in with presents even, I mean it was obvious that this was a happy occasion). So why 2 stars? Well, what was NOT good -- the service. The service was just horrible. Where was this amazing customer service so many other Yelpers talk about at this place? Did they change ownership? First of all, the girl who took our order needed to drink a Red Bull or something. I mean, she could not have lacked more energy. It looked like it pained her to take our order. She was just totally bored with us. But ok, whatever we just ordered and then got our food and that was that. The rest of the time she just spent on her cell phone. We were the only ones there and it seemed like she could have made an effort to be pleasant and welcoming. Then, what I assume to be the owner (nicely dressed man, walking about, carrying a few screwdrivers and trying to fix something) walked by us TWICE, I smiled each time and he just looked at me. No, "Hello, how are you?" "How's the food?" or anything. Not even a smile. A woman and her young son came in to order something, and the little half door that lifts up to let a worker through from behind the counter to the main dining area was just left up and halfway obstructing this poor woman from even ordering. The girl who was taking her order didn't even *think* to lower it so she could interact properly with the customer. Bizarre. When we got up to leave the girl and the man both just sort of noticed we were leaving, no goodbye, thank you come again, don't let the door hit ya on the way out... just NOTHING. So truly disappointed. This would have been a 5 star review if the service had not just been so abysmal. Awesome place! My wife wanted sushi tonight, so I went to Midori Go a few doors down, but decided to get a burger for myself. The owner was awesome. When I first walked in, he was taking an order on the phone, but as soon as he hung up, he apologized for the wait and asked what he could do for me. I am indecisive sometimes and there was a lot on the menu that looked really good, so I needed to get the rundown. He went on describing the various menu items in a really friendly non-pushy way. He even mentioned that the two latest combos were added due to customer requests. A business that listens to customers is always a win in my book. I ordered a Boss burger with double patties and cheese fries. I love burgers, but I can also be picky with burgers. And this was a good burger. Great size too, and I'm a big eater. Fries were great, and I'm not a huge fry guy. Since moving to SoCal 5 years ago, I've noticed that a large percentage of independently owned burger joints are more or less clones of each other, capitalizing on the char-broiled thin-patty burgers. And while some of those places can be good, this burger joint is a refreshing change of culinary repertoire. I live pretty close, so I will definitely be coming here again. read more

Once you go to Burger Hut you will never want to hit that drive-thru again! This place is excellent. The service is quick and friendly, with ridiculously cheap prices for the amount of food you get. I got the Hut burger combo (comes with a giant bag of fries and a 20oz drink) and it was around 6.32 including tax. It comes with some special sauce that looks like big mac stuff but tastes so much better. The burger itself is HUGE and they toast the bun and grill the onions if you like. It reminded me of the burgers at Red Robin, but fresher. The fries were thick and seasoned, and the portions are big. You will be satisfied. The location is unfortunate because while it says its on Pacific, its more visible from Arden. Its in the same plaza as Subway, so just pull in there and you'll see it. Give this place a shot! 2.5 Stars The meat patties they use are awful and the french fries are no good. A lot of the other reviews have mentioned the patties are the frozen ones you buy in bulk. This is certainly true, but only part of the problem. The patties also taste like they have been microwaved or heated in a water bath. There are no signs of charring and no indication the patties have been grilled or seared in any way. They might as well have stuck a meatloaf between two pieces of bread and called that a burger. Despite that, the rest of the burger is quite adequate. The sauce is tasty and they are generous with pickles. Also (and I suspect this is why the reviews are high) the burgers are BIG. The burger was well above average. The bacon was of a good quality...nice flavor without being overly salty. Burger comes together well with a juicy and flavorful patty that holds its own. The fries are crispy and come topped with season salt... which does wonders. I'm always surprised more burger places or restaurants don't add it too. Pastrami Burger - 4 out of 5 - I was pretty surprised with the quality of the pastrami used. It added flavor on top of flavor. I would have been happy with it just by itself. One of my favorite burgers here. Same great deal as above. Carne Asada Fries - 4 out of 5 - I was kind of surprised to see this on the menu but gave it a try since I was really craving carne asada fries. The order really hit the spot. The fries were the same given for all orders but come topped with tasty chunks of carne asada, sour cream, guacamole, red salsa, cheese and beans. OVERALL Much better than I expected. Underwhelming! I've seen this place with great ratings on Yelp for some time and wanted to try it. Having not eaten yet, my gf and I decided to try someplace new. I suggested this place. We checked the pictures and the menu. I got the Egg Hut Burger (add bacon and avocado) with Cheese Fries. My gf got the Mushroom Burger, zucchini and a chocolate shake. My egg burger wasn't disgusting, but it missed on so many levels. First, it tasted like a good frozen burger. There was very little avocado. And finally, the eggs yolk was barely there and not runny at all. Isn't that the point of an egg burger, to have a runny yolk. The cheese fries weren't anything special, but they were good. They are smaller/thinner than Tommy's fries, with a similar consistency. My girlfriend said her mushroom burger didn't have enough mushrooms, but again enjoyed the meat and the bun. The zucchini seemed overcooked yet the breading was under-cooked and over seasoned (the ranch dip seemed seasoned wrong too). The chocolate shake was tasty and made from Dreyer's Ice Cream and was tasty, but a little liquidy, not thick enough. We may try this place one more time because we both thought their carne asada fries looked good on the menu. As for the burgers, I will find other places to eat burgers. And, all this cost us about $25. For that cost, it was definitely underwhelming. read more

I wanted to go here several times before I wrote a review so that it is a fair review. Love this place! They have consistently made a wonderful Angus Cheeseburger; hot, fresh, well seasoned fries; delicious onion rings; and yummy zucchini sticks. We have yet to be disappointed. On top of that, the service has been just as good as the food. Very thoughtful...they always offer us free drinks when we order two burgers and sides (I guess it is the same price as a meal). The food is made AFTER you order so it is fresh. The guys that I have dealt with were all very nice and courteous. On another note: I feel sorry for the folks that have had bad service and food. I hope that they will reconsider and give them another shot. I have never been let down by them and I have been there at least 5-6 times since they have opened. read more

I ordered carne asada fries no beans Onion rings Burrito asada no beans Strawberry milkshake I got carne asada fries extra beans and was different than I usually get. Fries tasted like it's been out and not fresh like before, no guacamole, no tomato salsa. This was the best thing on their menu and it was not half as good as before. The asada was also dry and tasted old. I didn't bother to check my bag because my order has been always right. I had the habit of assuming that my order would be correct but.... I didn't get my onion rings. I got more fries!! I was mad about that. Why would I ask for more fries if I ordered carne asada fries? My burrito shrunk! For the price I paid before I though I got my money's worth but now the burrito was has big and thin like a taquito... Same dry meat, and they didn't put the onions, I asked for or cheese. Just meat and cilantro. Yuck. The shake was not thick like before I had to put it in the freezer and eat it like ice cream later... It was more like strawberry milk... I loved going here and spending my money. But this last time sucked. When the owner is working ( I think he's aremenian) my food is perfect and order is right. Quick stop while traveling. The menu is pretty overwhelming for a n00b but the lady at the counter was more than willing to help me figure out what to order. I ended up settling on the carne asada fries. This was definitely a whole meal. They were tasty and filling. I was recommended hitting it with some more spice than normal because it was pretty mild. It was a little slow on the order pick up but was otherwise pretty smooth. Fries held up even with the walk back to Embassy Suites. I'll definitely come back to try the burgers.
