Buger Buds is a food truck that's typically parked right next to a brewery, offering plenty of seating for all. We visited for a weekday lunch and our order took about 5 minutes total. Proper Patty ($11) - This burger comes with two smash patties, both of which are heavily salted and somewhat crisped up - the pictures from other people make it seem like they cook long enough to get lacy caramelized edges, but it's not quite to that point. Instead, the burgers, while not moist and fatty, aren't dried out either, and give a great beefy flavor. The burger sauce adds some tangy sweetness, and some pickles on top adds even more sweetness, but a very fresh crunch. It's otherwise pretty standard with the lettuce and tomato. A solid smashburger. (4/5) Fries ($5) - These are fried enough to give a crust on the potatoes, but not enough for the fries to be come crisp. Still, they aren't floppy, so while not entirely crisp, these are still good for eating especially since the insides are nice and fluffy. They are salted a lot, which combined with the salty dip (we went with the Bud's Sauce), equals a parched mouth after eating. I think they actually use a lime salt or something as I can detect a bit of citrus flavor. The Bud's Sauce is a nice mayochup mixture with I think a bit of smokiness from paprika and some chopped onion. It's sweet, tangy, and salty. (4/5) Overall Burger Buds serves some nice classic smashburgers! It's great for a visit while in town for a quick and easy meal.

Burger buds slaps every time we go. We love coming here after hiking in Rainier. The fries with the garlic aioli are SO GOOD. One burger is enough for me and my boyfriend to split. Just found out there is a location much closer to us in Maple Valley and I am so excited about it! Seriously some of the best burgers I've ever had.

Loved it. Loved everything about it. Hubs had the Big Rig and raved. I had the Wenatchee and it was the perfect balance with the tart apple and Gorgonzola. Sit in the Brewery next door and have an ice cold Root Beer (or beer if that is your thing)... this will not disappoint. Cool vibe and excellent burgers!

I call many of my good friends my "Burger Buds", so I thought that it would only be appropriate for me to stop by this smashing food truck after a day of ripping up Crystal Mountain. The burgers look mountainous on the menu to display the inner workings of these meat creations, with layers upon layers of toppings. They are truly cooking up carnivore art in the truck, so I appreciate that. The textural contrast of the crispy edges and the soft bun takes these burgers over the top. And then once they throw on things like onion rings and bacon... they will stack up against any burgers out there. The fries here are top notch as well. Excellent crispiness, and fluffy on the inside. They also let you pick from a variety of sauces that they're mixing up. And since I'm a sauce boi, I gladly obliged. It was the garlic aioli for me today, and man that did not let me down. A phenomenal 2024 blend, I wanted to ask for the recipe. The truck is set up right outside of a brewery, creating a symbiotic relationship between the smash patties and brews. You could spend all day here watching football and eating burgers. Sounds like the perfect day to me.

Wow!!! Burger Buds is home to my new favorite burger!! Hands down the best burger I've ever had (and I've had many!) We were in the area and saw that this spot was nearby so we decided to stop here to grab a quick dinner last night. We ordered the simple smash and added bacon and grilled onions and the big rig. Everything about this smash burger was perfect, seriously a 1000/10. The flavor was incredible. The fries were also amazing! They're tossed in beef tallow and are nice and crispy. Love that you can choose a sauce for your fries too - we got ranch and garlic aioli which were both great. The staff were friendly! It was our first time here and the guy at the front was helpful and answered our questions. You order at the counter, they give you a buzzer, and you'll pick up your food once your buzzer goes off. We waited ~10ish minutes for our food. The food truck is parked right in front of the brewery so it's a great location! You can grab a beer next door and grab a table either inside or outside. I can't stress enough how amazing this burger was. I'm dreaming about it as we speak - we're already thinking about driving 45 minutes just to grab another burger from here! I wish there was a Burger Buds truck in the Seattle area - I'd definitely be a regular! Highly recommend this spot and can't wait to come back!!

This place is INSANE!!!! Burgers 10/10 Service 10/10 Collin 10/10 They have this special sauce called bud sauce, and I want to pack it up and take a gallon of it home with me. Burgers were smaller than the photos and insanely greasy, but service was friendly and there was a fair wait time. I ordered the Wenatchee, a smash burger with Granny Smith apples. The simple smash burger and spicy french fries were a wonderful post hike meal. As a smash burger fan, the simple smash burger is near perfect. The 1/4 lb patties are the star, quality beef, American cheese, a little burger buds sauce and lettuce. No assistance needed from bacon or all the other add ons (which I'm sure are also good). I have been here 2x now and both times the food was great. I prefer a somewhat plain burger and the kids burger is perfect, love the double patty, cheese, ketchup and mustard. Their garlic aioli is great for the fries. I definitely like my fries cooked more on the crispy side, the first time we were there they were a bit limp, the second time they were cooked golden brown and crunchy!! Everyone that I have talked to who works there has been very nice and accommodating, they all seem to really like their job which is important. Finally went here. They make a tasty burger! I am actually craving one as I write this. Had the Pit Boss. The pepper relish was really good. The beef patties smashed and crispy on the edges. Cold, refreshing, and just right with the food and the atmosphere. Why go? If you're looking for a relaxed spot to hang out, enjoy a game, and eat some really solid comfort food, this place delivers. It's the kind of place you leave full, happy, and already planning your next visit.

Not my liking, but they enjoy it quite a bit. All the sides and extras are excellent. I wish the Mac and cheese bites were less zesty and more salty, but I'm a dreamer. Wally's has sold or is selling ownership, so I hope they remain the same general quality and taste they've had since I first started going here. Until quality, service, or something showstopping changes we'll continue to enjoy our meals there. Definitely recommend eating at Wally's.

After ten minutes I was worried. After 20 minutes I was getting concerned. Our waitress showed up shortly there after and we placed our order. I wandered into their bakery area while waiting for our food, took photos, read the info there and then out to the historic bar area to check it out. You can order cakes and cheese cakes from their bakery as well as take a slice to-go, or enjoy a slice in house. Our waitress saw me there on her way into the kitchen and asked if I needed something. "No, just looking". OK then. We think our waitress was working both the kitchen and the dining room which is why she was often out of sight. So two staff in FOH with one of them helping BOH. That's a lot. She brought our food when ready plus a selectiin of jams for our english muffin. We asked for silverware which she promotly brought. The marionberry jam, a hybrid blackberry from Oregon, is excellent. The food is quite good. Corned beef hash is without a doubt made fresh. Big pieces of shredded beef with potatoes and lots of fresh spices. This hash has a zing to it. We both ordered the small portion of their corned beef so it came with one egg (instead of two) and we chose english muffin (instead of toast) and got half each (vs. a whole each). With a side of their potatoes, which were also good and plentiful, we had enough left overs for breakfast the next day. Which we also enjoyed. All told, we were in and out in one hour. Food was very good. We always had coffee. We thought our waitress was unfriendly, but she's just super busy. So five stars for holding down the dining rooms with two staff members and serving tasty, well prepared food. Paula processed our card payment. Forgot to check out the restrooms. I think they are in the last dining area (where a big business meeting of some company was going on at the time) behind the bar room.

Pita Burrito, Carne Asada ($16.27) - Huge burrito incoming, probably over 2 lb. I would say similar to Mission-sized, but the interior ingredients are not quite up to standard. Still, very impressive for the region. There's a large tortilla, warm and pliable, absolutely filled with tons of stuff. Firstly, a very good portion of beef, not seasoned much other than salt, but giving a great beefy flavor. The beef chunks are crisped up on the flat top perfectly, giving plenty of texture. This does dry out the meat, so there's a tradeoff, but that's what the cheese, guac and sour cream are for. Enough moisture is included so that, while not nearly as messy to eat as a typical Mission burrito, it's enough for each bite. There's a well balanced portion of rice and beans as well. The construction is pretty good so the burrito can be eaten in the hand without issues. (5/5) Is this the best burrito in the world, as some people seem to think? No way, but I think it's very solid for being in Washington and is one of the best I've had since moving to the state. Note: Pita's charges a little extra for credit card usage. We went on a sunny day and with no shade I was glad I had sunscreen and sunglasses. We didn't have much of a wait, just long enough for me to dash over and snap photos of the sunflowers before our food came. They serve breakfast and lunch, and since they often sell out by 2PM, it's best to arrive early. We ordered the Nashville Hot Chicken Sammy, the Candied Jalapeño Chicken Sammy, loaded tots, and a blackberry milkshake. These are four-napkin sandwiches -- huge, messy, and finger-licking good. You'll want a bottled water in the car to rinse your hands after tackling one of these. The Nashville Hot Chicken Sammy came stacked with a giant fried chicken breast coated in their house hot sauce, layered with slaw and pickles on a brioche bun. The Candied Jalapeño Chicken Sammy had crisp chicken, melted cheese, sautéed onion, lettuce, and their sweet-heat jalapeño sauce. The loaded tots came piled with chopped chicken, bacon, cheese, green onion, and sauce. The blackberry milkshake, blended with real berries, tied everything together. I recently tried Burger Buds in Enumclaw, and it was a bit of a letdown. We ordered some burgers and fries, which ended up costing over $60 - definitely pricey for what we got. The fries were okay, a bit overly crispy but nothing terrible. The burgers, on the other hand, were way too greasy. For smash burgers, the patties were so thin they were almost non-existent. The flavors didn't stand out at all, and the whole meal was pretty disappointing. The service was alright, and the staff were friendly enough, but that didn't make up for the food quality. You can head over to Headworks Brewing next door if you need a place to sit. Overall, I had high hopes for Burger Buds, but they didn't deliver. Unless they make some big improvements, I probably won't be back. read more

The burgers used high-quality ingredients and had thoughtful presentation. I especially like the toasted buns. The original owners have sold out and it's changed hands a couple of times. However, everything I said in my last review is still true except of course prices have gone up, but they're not outrageous. Truly one of the best breakfasts I've had anywhere in the country/world and I've probably eaten at 2800+ restaurants for breakfast since my initial review here 14 years ago. I still get "my usual" Blueberry Muffin and what's now called the Meatlovers Scramble (add mushrooms). The current price is $22.49 (as of 2/1/25). A full order will easily feed 2 very hungry adults.

The queso was so good that my fat self dipped my fries in it. The portions are really big here, do not let the pictures deceive you. And the food is quite good! Definitely elevated bar food. My order of 6 chicken strips were perfectly cooked and seasoned. I really like the breading and side of honey mustard. My husband ordered chicken wings and they were the big bulky wings not the piddilly little wings you get at a gas station. The spicy Korean sauce and garlic Parmesan were top notch sauces!! Oh also, if you order soda they open a can, give you what fills up the glass and save the remainder for whoever orders the same soda next. Their milkshakes are definitely a win. Overall, I'd say this place is still worth it, but stick to the burgers--they're what they do best.
