Here we are, 10 months later and many, many quarts of oil later, still waiting for it to be fixed. The cylinder head needs to be replaced. We have been told the part is on order and can take 6 months to come in and we're being told it can take up to a year. Meanwhile, we continue to put oil in this thing almost every 1,000 miles, which we're also being told is normal. The only thing they have offered, is to drive to them, 35 miles away from our house and they will top it off. That's it. This car was a graduation present for our boy. Some present. A car that's 4 years old and had like 50,000 miles on it when we bought it. Oh, and I did I mention we replaced the water pump too? Good thing we purchased an extended warranty. I have no doubts they knew of the cylinder head issue when we bought it. They're crooks. We have asked for an extension of the warranty for free and were told no. A refund for all the oil we have bought would be nice too. But no. Nothing. Just wait for the part. Please, please do your research before buying from them. This has been a horrible experience and I hate to see anyone else go through this. VW themselves have offered nothing as well. We bought a VW for reliability. Now I'm laughing. Reliable? Joke. We were 1st time customers here and now, last. Never again.
