I brought my car into Nissan Service at Driver's Village as a walk-in and the staff was super welcoming and was able to problem solve my problem of having a broken barrier under the engine which had come off in an incident on the highway coming back from a trip. Gina initially helped me to determine the issue and the crew took care of my car in an hour allowing me to be prepared to drive in the winter weather coming soon. Nissan service is polite, hardworking and effective at helping me travel safely to visit both of my students out of town. The staff is always hospitable and willing to modify their schedule to help my family out when my family needed to travel to Rochester, Michigan or for our jobs where kids depend on us. From our purchase of the car from Zack Morris and our subsequent service and treatment, the staff has exceeded expectations and we truly appreciate their efforts and their part in helping us to enjoy Nissan products. When I had to go to pick up my vehicle, I brought a bodyguard. Never go there alone, it's your word against there's. Additionally the inspection was up ( became aware after I got home) and no one mentioned it at service dept. called to complain and receptionist hung up. At $195 hr labor rates. I shouldn't have to say anything about the tearable service we received on our BMW. A $210 diagnosis fee was collected and then recommended three things needed to be replaced for a coolent leak caused by a broken oil filter housing. The $5700 price to fix was ridiculous had my local mechanic fix it for around $1000 read more

Scam artists! I bought a 2022 Jeep Compass and was totally ripped off. Salesman told me exactly what to say on the survey - or he would lose his job. Said he would call in 2 days to see how everything was - no call. If you are in desperate need of a new vehicle and are working with the bare minimum, at first glance this place may seem like it is outside the realm of possibility. I knew my chances were slim, but I scheduled an appointment to go in and look and immediately, the sales representative Julia H. greeted me with a smile and warm welcome. After I explained to her my situation, that did not deter her from going the extra mile to seeing what could be done for me as I had already looked at several places, had doors closed on me time and time again and was reaching the point of hopelessness. I saw a vehicle I really liked (2020 Hyundai Kona Ultimate) while we were browsing through their inventory but to me it was just a pipe dream. Not to Julia H. She saw how much I loved that vehicle and despite my circumstances, she put her best efforts into making sure I would get into the Kona. While still feeling hopeless, she followed up with me the next day and made informed suggestions as I am new to car shopping but I followed through with what she had suggested. While the path was turbulent on my end, I'm glad I had Julia H's guidance along the way because now I have my Kona with more than reasonable monthly payments. I knew that I was due for a different vehicle. However, if it weren't for the diligence, sincerity and tenacity of Julia H., I would never have ended up in a vehicle that I truly love. Aside from that, Driver's Village has a built in DMV and Julia H. took care of all of the necessary paperwork and documentation for me when it came to that so I would have a smooth transition into the new Kona. It was a whirlwind of an experience but at the end of the day, I ended up in the vehicle that I WANTED with affordable monthly payments and it is all thanks to the hard work of Julia H. When I had my Mazda, the Mazda dealership was wonderful -rarely a problem. Now that I have a Buick, the GM portion is downright dishonest. I got my car in October, 2022 with one key fob. I had a problem with one of my windshield wipers. I tried to make an appointment. A month later, I still couldn't get in and never a return call. I was getting caught in rain storms without any windshield wipers. I have a family member there and he got them to see me . They told me I needed a new motor and they told my cousin that it's not included in my warranty and it would cost $100. After many calls and three months later, they still hadn't ordered the part. They never did a thing, and when I tried to complain above the service manager, I was told to go elsewhere. I went to another dealership and they were wonderful. It turned out that I was lied to by drivers Village. My wiper motor was covered under my warranty and cost me nothing. Right after I got the car I also was complaining because my key fob was improperly working. They never called me back, so I just dealt with it. Now the bottom of it fell out and got lost, I've never even opened it up to change a battery. Dave in service was totally inept, rudely telling me that I had to pay a very large portion of money to replace it, even though it was defective. I now have a key fob with no key! Stay away from drivers village GMC! They are crooks. read more

It is no wonder Drivers Village has a dismal star rating on Yelp and so many negative reviews. I have had several interactions with different staff and departments at Drivers Village before I smartened up and pulled ALL my business- including the $60,000 purchase of a new vehicle. DV's prices for service are not competitive. For instance: an oil change and tire rotation is $30 more than a neighboring GMC Dealership, plus DV's has over-charged me on a service quote in the past (complete with an apology for 'misquoting,' but no refund) and they valued my 2-year-old vehicle $6000 less then other certified GMC dealerships offered- and it is a model they sell! Staff across several departments at DV have treated me with abysmal customer service with their cavalier, smug attitudes which makes me believe this is how they are trained to make themselves appear to be an elite dealership, when they are not. Smug is a good word to describe it. Most recently, I was hung up on when I questioned their outrageous price of $90 for an oil change on my leased Buick, with the rep shouting "I don't make the prices" before she disconnected the call in the middle of a conversation. Management is 'always unavailable' and the after-service in my opinion is completely and shamelessly, non-existent. My advice? Shop with your feet and take the short drive to Auburn and give your business and hard-earned money to Summit GMC who now exclusively services my Buick and any future GM vehicles I may purchase or lease. (There is also a Panera next door which is a pleasant place to wait) I initially used Summit but switched to Drivers Village because it was closer to my residence and more convenient, but the aggravation and poor treatment from staff is not worth it. That was a mistake I have now corrected. Don't make the same mistake I did. Check out Summit GMC in Auburn. They are a great alternative nearby with much more reasonable and fair pricing on services - and they have consistently treated me as if I am their most valued customer! read more

As someone that loves cars & changes cars every 2-3 years I've had many cars in my life. I've tried buying from Drivers Village at least 20 times & never found them to be the best deal. Been to the Audi, Bmw, Lexus, VW & Mazda dealerships, all have been overpriced. The sales people have always been friendly so if you're looking for an easy car buying process they can help you, but know you'll be paying a big premium. The sole exception is the Lexus dealership, which I've been to a handful of times & 3 different times I've walked in & was never greeted or offered help. I guess cause I'm not 75 they don't think I'm a serious buyer. Anyway I'd recommend shopping at any of the other dealerships in syracuse cause you'll usually find a better price there. read more

Just signed on to Yelp to give some love to Driver's Village. Recently purchased my 4th and 5th car from them and will be buying my 6th from them in October. Here's the best part - I live 2 hours away! Have had dealings with several of the brands available (2 Audi, 3 VW, 1 used Mercury) Have always had fantastic customer service, always responsive to my needs, the best inventory you can find for hours and they have always followed up after the sale to see how I'm doing. This review is specifically for the salesman at Toyota dealership in Driver's Village. I don't remember the salesman name but he looked like Gus from Breaking Bad. My friend and I went there to test drive a new Rav4. During the time that we spent with the salesman, he was on his phone quite a lot. Though he did answer our questions, he acted as if he was bored and annoyed that he had to help us. I liked the Rav4 enough that I was willing to buy it that day but found that when I test drove it, it was slightly difficult to see over the console and hood because of my stature (even with the seat all the way up and forward). I stated this to the salesman and was concerned enough that I was planning to check a couple of other models before making a final decision. By that point, he did give me a good deal on the price but once I stated that I was really concerned about the difficulty with seeing he then got very defensive. The salesman then went on to state that he has just sold not one, but two Rav4s to a woman shorter than me. I was highly offended because he trivialized my height and lack of ability to see properly. He then went on to insist that I try another Rav4 to make sure that it was the same problem, which I didn't mind doing, but by that point I was so turned off by his attitude that I wouldn't have bought from him even if I could see properly. Overall, I did not have a good experience here with this one salesman. That is not to say that all salesman at this dealership are the same. I'm sure there are many friendly and helpful salesman at this dealership. read more

Great vehicle and excellent customer service!!! In the past we always bought small cars, but we were looking at getting a more dog friendly vehicle. Before going on our vacation, we had test drove a couple of used RAV4's. We went to Drivers Village to get a better feel of which SUV would best suit our needs. We were greeted at the door and invited to look around. It was nice to be able to look around without a salesperson hovering over us. When we were ready to ask questions Dustin was very helpful. We ended up getting a 2012 RAV4 (excellent condition/ great price). We were leaving the next day to go back to Virginia; they went thru hoops to make sure I drove away with that vehicle. It took most of the day for Allstate to get the proper documents to the dealership. One of the ladies in the office made me feel right at home and kept checking on me. I really wasn't sure what was involved in purchasing a vehicle in another state. The dealership took care of everything and when the plates were ready sent them next day mail. This review is solely based on my experience with the Fiat dealership. My husband and I walked in, with no one to be found at the Fiat section. They seem to share space with KIa, so we walked across and asked for help. No one really knew what to do, but we were helped by one associate, then 10 minutes later, he said another person would be taking over. We test drove an awesome Fiat 500 Pop and I fell in love!!! The associate was very friendly before and the test drive. Then, when it was time to talk numbers, the meeting went sharply downhill and was the most rude and bizarre experience of my life. I could not bring my current vehicle in for an assessment until the following week, and that car would theoretically be turned in and the remaining balance added to my terms, should I choose to enter into an agreement. I had no problem with that at all, but explained that I need information and could not bring the car in until the following week. The associate kept going to talk to "his boss" behind closed door, who never showed his face. Basically, first he said I could lease the car, then he said I could not lease only buy, then he said that my price range would never satisfy payments so he didn't want to continue to discuss it. I was so confused. Generally speaking, car dealerships and car salesmen are very aggressive and cant wait to try to sell you a car. I then picked a different car, same model, different year, and asked for numbers on that vehicle. I was told that because I had an existing lease and could not bring my car in until next week, they couldn't help me. I filled out a form to run my credit, and when asked if the credit was checked, I was told "there is no point"...after what felt like 20 minutes of awkward silence, (which was probably more like 5 minutes), we left with no promise of a call or any request to come back in the future. Truly disgusting. In case this dealership is wondering what the point of running credit and engaging your customer is....the answer is, to SELL CARS!!!! These people acted like they were doing me a favor by even talking to me and did absolutely nothing to try to sell me a car or assist me in any way. Whether I decide to get a new vehicle before or after my current lease expires, I would never give these people my business. Rude, dismissive, and not worthy of a loyal customer. read more
