The menu options were expansive, pricing was reasonable, the service was professional and the food was delicious. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. Buppy's catered our son's wedding January 2023. The menu sounded great, the sampling dinner was great....the wedding itself, terrible. It was a huge disappointment and embarrassment to the couple and our family. There were 6 preparations of beef, only one was edible, mainly because it had a lot of sauce. They wasted a huge amount of the custom beef we provided by cooking 300+ pounds of meat for 130 guests. Two of the biggest cuts were not even brought out and carved. When we got the leftovers home, the inside of these big cuts were raw and foul smelling. Obviously, they were inadequately cooked and then left to sit at room temperature. I would NOT recommend them if you want to have confidence that your wedding meal will be edible. I am giving them two stars because the servers and personnel on site at the event were kind and did a good job. read more

Great lunch buffet! My friend told me to check this place out and I'm glad I did. I have been many times and its a great place to go once or twice a month. They have recently made some upgrades to the interior and added some covered outside seating. There days open have changed to Tuesday to Friday and with the cost of food going up so have there cost, but it's still a good deal for lunch ($9) for what you get and the quality. There peach cobbler was hands down the best I have had in BCS. If I wasn't so full from the buffet I would have had a few more servings of it. There banana pudding is also some of the best that I have had in a long time. The place goes with the European style setting where you share the table space with others around you. Buppy and his team did an amazing job catering our wedding. They came out to reception hall and cooked onsite. We had chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes, gravy, mixed vegetables, dinner rolls, salad, and 2 different dressings. Buppy's provided the linens for the tables that they used and matched our colors perfectly. Not only was the food amazing and delicious, but they also stayed around to help refill drinks, they had some pre made drinks for us when we got there, they served our food and made sure that nobody else are until my husband and I did, they even stayed after to help clean everything up. They very polite and helpful to anybody who needed anything. Buppy's did a superior job with the job with all of the food and drinks. I will definitely be recommending Buppy's to our family and friends for dinner as well as catering for any and all events. CATERING - I DO NOT TRUST Buppy's Committment and Follow Through I heard good things about Buppy's. I sent an email request on a Saturday, and FIVE (5) business days later I got a quote. Kristin offered to listen to feedback and make changes; however, when I immediately replied with requested changes and questions, I never heard back from her. It has been 9 days now since I received the quote. I stopped by Buppy's in person on Saturday at 12:30 PM to talk to Kristin, but she had just left for the day...even though the listed hours were for another 2 hours. I like barbecue. I know barbecue. I've eaten it all over the United States, and all over Texas. Buppy's is the single worst barbecue I've had in Texas. We used to use them at catered work events until we had to stop. It was that bad. The problem was simple: the brisket was super dry, tough, and under seasoned. Consistently. This is Texas's signature barbecue contribution and if you can't do it right, get out of the business. We now use Kreuz. The two stars are for the fried catfish. I don't like fried food or catfish. While eating lunch there the owner was at a table with his friends they we're carrying on so loud & cursing in the presence of elderly people & children that I was totally disgusted. This man was running for a political seat & his behavior was horrible. My fiancé and I were excited to work with Buppy's and have them cater our wedding! We were surprised when there were multiple issues specifically on the day of the wedding. While the food was delicious and tasty, due to some miscommunication, we weren't informed we needed salad plates until the day of when, thankfully, a staff member of Buppy's ran out to get some, so that was nice of them! We appreciated that, even though it was disappointing that we were not originally notified that we needed additional plates. Our coordinator also said it was difficult to find and communicate with the head caterer on the day of the wedding, which was a frustration for her. A big reason I am giving them two stars is because we hired them for the full night so they could rinse our dishes before returning them to the rental facility, however they left an hour and a half before they were supposed to, leaving our bridal party to do their job instead. It has been five weeks since the wedding, and after multiple email correspondence between us and them, we have STILL not received our refund for the time they were not there working, which we paid them for ahead of time. I truly wish I could give them a higher rating because we have heard so many great things about them, but based on this experience, I have to give them a low score. I've had Buppy's catering before at events throughout BCS, but my last visit to the restaurant wasn't my favorite. I went on a Friday, which they advertise as Fish/Catfish day, so I ended up paying 11 dollars for it, which was fine. Except with the long lines and so many people coming in and out, I had to wait quite a bit to even get some fish, and I never was able to get any shrimp, which is always my favorite. I would have stuck around, but I only get an hour for lunch... and I guess I didn't think I should have had to stick around to wait for food when I had been there for an hour. I guess I was just disappointed because this was one of my few "cheat meals" for the week and I had been excited to try the Fish Friday, but ultimately only ended up with a few pieces of fish, a weird salad, and some potato casserole instead of mac and cheese. I'd love to give Buppy's another try if my office goes there again, but I probably will never got on Friday again... it just wasn't worth it. read more

I took my nephew to the Sunday Brunch, 10-2-16, for his birthday & I must say it was one of the best meals I've ever had, PERIOD. Buppys catered our wedding in September. 1st meeting was ok, the staff seemed like they were winging it on what questions to ask and what information to write down. This should have been a hint from the very beginning. It was all downhill from there. We would call them to update something on our event (big things like adding 600 dollars' worth of stuff) they would say ok and the next time I would call I would have to re-order it. This happened not just once but almost every time I called something or everything would be missing from the last call. One day they couldn't even find our paperwork and argued that we haven't ever spoken to them. Close to our event date on the last meeting my wife met with the owner, Buppy himself. He assured her that the caterers would show up on time and he would only be sending seasoned caterers. After that she finalized all the food to make sure it wasn't wrong again. The day of the wedding the first truck of caterers was 45 minutes late. That truck wasn't even the food. The food truck was an hour and 10 minutes late. Then he accidentally locks the keys in the truck. My brother had to call the company to get them to bring an extra set of keys to the van, the caterers didn't even think of that! I do have to give props to whomever brought the extra set of keys because he got there with 6 minutes to spare. After the food van open they didn't even know they were serving instead of a buffet line, which I thought was even crazier. Once things picked up the servers did finally get themselves together. At the end of the wedding they asked for us to sign some papers which we refused to do until we spoke with the owner. They cleaned up and went on their way. It doesn't stop there, O no. My wife and I went on our honeymoon leaving all business to be taken care of by my brother. My brother went up to Buppy's 2 days later, there he met with some kind of female manager. This lady has the nerve to argue with my brother about what time they arrived at the wedding. Even showed him a piece of paper where the caterers lied about what time they arrived. While my brother explained what happened to this rude woman she continuously rolled her eyes and smirked at him. Setting all the other unprofessional stuff aside she is the reason I am writing this review. I would strongly not recommend you using Buppys Catering. read more
