The service is terrible. Our youngest visitor 4 yrs. didn't get her piece of cheese pizza until another patron said something. For a period of time we were the only people in the place. read more

Update: Owners note below doesn't reflect the experience we had. Staff was rude, unhelpful, and dismissive. I will say I did ask for the kid's slice to come out as soon as possible (that took 20 minutes alone), but tables that had been sat long after us (and ones I had watched order while waiting) were served their pizzas while we waited. I never said anything about the salads. The table adjacent to us ordered approximately 5 minutes before we did. They were done and leaving while we were still waiting for the kid's slice to show up. At no point in the hour we sat at that table did anyone ever advise we should expect an extended wait. Either the kid forgot/was delayed putting our order in (likely what happened) or the place just prioritizes take out/delivery. Either way, I stand by my earlier review. I have no interest in speaking to the manager, nor am I willing to remove this review. This was our experience tonight and it ruined our meal out. I strongly urge anyone looking for a good slice of pizza to find somewhere else. Original review: HORRIBLE experience and will never go back. Took the girls, ordered a salad, a slice, a Margarita pizza and drinks. Kid's slice came out, salad came out and then... nothing. Every table around us got their orders, but we got nothing. No pizza. Asked why, was told they were at an hour wait...so wait. I get that phone orders/take out is at an hour, but you don't half serve a meal and then expect someone to wait an hour for the other half. Terrible. Kids running the place were insanely rude, as well. Can't even say if the pizza is good. We didn't get it--even after an hour of sitting at a table. Literally had to pack the girls up and leave to have cold pizza at home. read more

Less than ideal experience. Person on the phone was weirdly condescending about pizza. Then when asked for a veggie pizza gave us the picture below. Stunning level of inadequacy. Also was given garlic bread and left to cut it ourselves. Had decent reviews so we ordered but will be going back to Buon Padre read more

After some marathon Christmas shopping at San Tan Village, I just wanted a slice of pizza from somewhere. Sometimes trying a new spot pays off. My first bite of the Sicilian cheese slice was a pleasant surprise: crisp, buttery crust, tangy sauce, and plenty of mozzarella. It's the best slice I've found in awhile and I hope to return to try the thin crust pizza. read more

Absolutely amazing pizza. Best in Arizona. My new go-to for pizza. Service is fantastic. Albert was a great host and server!

Love love love this place. Staff is generally very friendly and try to take care of you. When they mess up they always make it right. Can't go wrong with their pizza, antipasti or zeppolis. The dessert is unique and certainly worth trying. Only knock is in summer it's too hot to eat in as you get heat from the pizza oven as well. read more

Very friendly staff. Delicious food and true NY style pizza! Meatball parmigiana hero's are yummy too!

Yummy pizza, perfectly cooked ravioli and great service from Albert! We will be back!

Best NY pie I've had in AZ, and just flat-out the best pizza I've had anywhere in AZ. Great sauce. Stromboli, calzone, apps are great too. Friendly staff and good service, and I like the decor and ambiance inside. Forget the other places for NY pie, especially the one with a NY borough right in its name. This is the place. Why not 5 stars? Last time we went, a heavy-set older gentleman who either works there or may be part of the ownership was seen by my wife and I taking a several pinches of cheese out of the prep bin and putting them in his mouth with his bare hands. Gross and not cool. Come on, don't get yourselves a violation or have someone less tolerant than me cause you problems with the health dept. Keep it clean and keep making killer food! read more

Try to give Jeff's review as little attention as it deserves. Sounds like someone who is picky and ordered wrong. It's hard enough to open a small business on the tail end of covid but for that to be the first review feels criminal. Now, to the real review... my family and I have eaten Buonos since I was a kid. It's amazing. The crust, sauce, cheese flavor is stellar. We tend to order a straight cheese or just fresh tomato because the NY basics are so on point. We also regularly ordered the sausage, peppers and onions sandwich add cheese. I'm so excited for this new location and chandler gilbert is lucky to have them. My kids had Buonos for the first time tonight and loved it. We'll be here regularly. Welcome to Gilbert Jimmy. It's gonna be a bright future. read more

This place has great food and great customer service. The wings are the best .Top three pizza places in Gilbert/mesa area.

Solid old school pizza. We always love their pizza and Italian food. A little expensive for what you get but so is every restaurants these days! It is MUCH better pizza than Dominos or Pizza hut. Give it a try. read more

One of my favorite pizza spots in Gilbert. I love it but sometimes it's a little inconsistent. Lately the crust has seemed thicker which I don't enjoy as much. However the pizza and cheese flavor are delicious and pretty close to back home in NY. I just prefer a thinner crust. Love the zeppolis though, 100% authentic and my favorite way to end the meal! read more

Always LOVE Buono's!!!! Katie was an amazing server!!!! We go out of our way to come here when we can! Best pizza around... definitely the closest to a NY PIZZA!!!! read more

Pizza was very good. My fellow NY friend raved about their Sicilian but I'm a regular slice girl, so I tried it. I got 2 plain and it was very yummy. The closest to NY pizza I've had since I left NY 10 years ago. I noticed as I was waiting for my pizza they had egg creams. I will have to try next time. I love them! read more

Buono’s Pizza - Stromboli - Pizza Near Me - Gilbert, Arizona

Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, I know a few things about pizza and exceptional Italian food. Buono's is a breath of fresh air! Their pizza is by far the best in the state (don't just ask me - look at the votes from the Best of the Valley). Other amazing dishes include their chicken parmigiana sandwiches and dinner, meatball hero, etc. The owners are amazing and truly care about their customers! And just to finish it off, if you like cannolis, they're amazing! Of course, they carry Drakes Cakes along with sodas and other great products. Our "go to" place - make it yours! Say hi to Jimmy, Shelly and Pam ot any of their other outstanding employees! read more
