The drink was $7.14 which isn't too bad, but the taste is great. It's very refreshing and not heavy at all. I came on a Sunday morning and the inside was a little busy, so I decided to sit outside. They have maybe 4 tables outside with music playing so it was quite nice. One more thing -- i really like the cup lid. Sometimes you'll go to a place and the lid makes it really hard to get an even stir/shake but with their lid it's so easy as you just plug the top with a finger and shake. Small detail but it's something I appreciated. The matcha coconut water is a must try!

I ordered the Cubano Bun Mi with shredded pork, French ham and cheese on a bun mi with house green salad. The sandwich was basic, as in nothing made it memorable. I was hoping for an interesting twist of some sorts, but at $13 the sandwich was so lacking in imagination. The bun was a large burger bun, not a crispy-crusted baguette as expected. (This sandwich would have been decent at a BBQ joint if served with fries and BBQ sauce and aptly labeled a Chopped Brisket Sammich.) The house salad featured wilted greens as well as clearly old cucumbers. I left the salad uneaten on the plate and brought the poor quality of the greens to the attention of the waiter when he cleared the table and went on to share with him that the greens were clearly old and they should have noticed. He apologized. I did have the "green cookie" and it was indeed flavorful and quite sweet but not worth $4. All in all I'd probably not visit here again with so many other interesting and better priced joints to experience in NOLA.

The king and queen cakes are beautifully decorated! There a lot pastries galore and different flavor cakes to choose from. It smells like pure buttercream inside! The staff is so friendly and very helpful with your choices. The glazed beignets are definitely worth the wait! So warm and fluffy! Prices are very reasonable as well. Please make this a stop outside of the city just a bit but very worth it.

Not wanting to leave empty-handed...I grabbed a slice of cake and some sweet potato pie...and let me tell you...both were absolutely excellent...rich, flavorful, and worth every bite...that alone convinced me it would be worth making a return trip...so much so...I actually changed my travel plans from 4am to 6am just to try those beignets. The next morning...I arrived right at 6am...along with about five other customers already waiting outside...we stood there expecting the doors to open...but after a while...one customer called inside and was told they couldn't open because they didn't have a cashier yet...one by one...everyone left. I stayed until about 6:15am...hoping things would turn around...but eventually had to leave as well. That was definitely disappointing...especially knowing they lost at least five or more customers that morning. I'm really hoping this was just a one-time situation...because based on the cake and pie alone...this place has something special...I'll definitely give them another shot on my next visit... but hopefully next time...the service matches the quality of the desserts.

The Vintage - New Orleans, LA…read more The Vintage on Magazine Street was our very first food stop in New Orleans, and it turned out to be a great way for my wife and me to start our trip. From the moment we walked in, I really liked the atmosphere. The place has a cool, relaxed New Orleans vibe with a little bit of an upscale café feel without being overly fancy. It's the kind of spot where you can come in, sit down, enjoy some good food and drinks, and just take your time. Of course, we couldn't come to New Orleans and not start things off with beignets! We decided to go with the Fancy Beignet Flight, which gave us a chance to try several different flavors. We got the raspberry, s'mores, and Chantilly. They came out looking almost too good to eat, covered in powdered sugar with all the different fillings and toppings. Almost... because we definitely ate them! They were warm, sweet, messy in the best possible way, and a fun introduction to our New Orleans food adventure. For my meal, I ordered the Italian Panini with the truffle Parmesan fries. The sandwich was packed with meat, cheese, and flavor. Looking at that cross-section, they definitely weren't being stingy with the fillings! The bread was toasted nicely, and everything worked well together. The truffle fries were another highlight. They had plenty of seasoning and Parmesan and paired perfectly with the sandwich. I also grabbed a small iced mocha, which went really well with the food and especially the beignets. One thing I really enjoyed about The Vintage was the atmosphere. The interior has a lot of character, from the marble tables and vintage-style flooring to the bar and pastry display. It feels like a place that belongs on Magazine Street. It was comfortable enough that we didn't feel rushed and could just enjoy being in New Orleans together. The service was good during our visit, and everything came together for a really enjoyable first meal in the city. Our bill came to around $48 after tax and tip for the two of us, and considering we had a sandwich, upgraded fries, drinks, and the beignet flight, I thought it was a good experience for the money. Most importantly, this place gave my wife and me a great start to our New Orleans trip. When your first stop includes a loaded Italian panini, truffle Parmesan fries, iced coffee, and a whole flight of beignets, you know the trip is starting off right! Definitely a place I would visit again. Great food, great atmosphere, and a great first taste of New Orleans. 5 stars from us!

We ordered to go and got rained on. Towards the front there is a seating area that we stayed in to eat our beignets! Service was great. They call you from the counter when your order is ready however if they can't see you they'll surely find you. So you don't necessarily have to come up too many times if your order is taking a little longer (beignets are made to order)
