I had a very frustrating experience with Bumper Buddies and would not recommend them based on both the quality of work and the lack of follow-up. I paid $650 for a front bumper repair on my 2014 435i. Before moving forward, I specifically told the technician I was deciding between repairing the bumper or fully replacing it, and that I only wanted to proceed if the result would look acceptable. I relied on their recommendation and moved forward with the repair. The final result was disappointing. The paint had noticeable orange peel, the panel shaping was uneven and wavy, there was overspray, and even the parking sensor was painted over. After reaching out, it took significant effort just to get them to come back out. When they finally did, the "correction" was essentially a quick buff and some minor cleanup -- it did not address the underlying issues. I was then told that because the original damage involved a split in the bumper, the result I had was essentially the best it could look and that it wasn't fully correctable. That was extremely frustrating to hear, because had that been clearly communicated upfront, I would have chosen to replace the bumper instead of attempting a repair. Following that visit, I attempted multiple times over the course of a couple weeks to resolve the situation and discuss a partial refund. Communication was extremely poor -- emails went unanswered, texts were ignored, and I was repeatedly told someone would follow up when no one ever did. At this point, I've had to pursue a chargeback due to unsatisfactory workmanship and lack of customer support. Overall, the experience felt rushed, the quality did not meet expectations, and the follow-up service was even worse. I would strongly recommend considering other options, especially for anything beyond very minor cosmetic repairs. Update to owners response: I think it's important to clarify a few things here, as parts of your response are not accurate. While I did sign off initially, that was based on a quick review immediately after the repair. The issues became much more noticeable over time in normal lighting and daily use. I also had friends and family point out the poor finish and uneven panel work, which reinforced my concerns -- I take pride in my vehicle, and this simply was not an acceptable result. I first reached out again in mid-February to raise these concerns, and it took repeated follow-ups over several weeks to get a return visit scheduled, which did not occur until March 24th. After that visit, I again had to follow up multiple times over more than a week through both email and text with little to no response before finally hearing back. During that visit, I was told that because the bumper had split, the current result was essentially the best it could be and not fully correctable. That is the core issue -- had that been communicated upfront, I would have chosen a full replacement instead of a repair. I also want to correct a misstatement in your response. At no point did I threaten to post a negative review or file a chargeback in exchange for a refund. The message you're referencing was sent only after weeks of repeated follow-ups and lack of response, and simply stated that if I did not hear back, I would move forward with a chargeback due to the unresolved issues. That is not a threat -- it was a final step after multiple attempts to resolve this directly. The follow-up "corrections" did not resolve the underlying issues, and the quality still does not meet expectations. My request for a partial refund reflects the fact that the result did not match what was discussed beforehand, the limitations were not disclosed upfront, and the communication throughout this process required persistent follow-up just to receive basic responses.

Unable to find correct paint for touch up which looked off

Had a chip and then repaired the body work myself, but the color did not match. Fortunately Justin from Bumper Buddies reviewed the request and tried his best to keep the cost low as possible on a re-spray of the panel. Since I didn't want to get car insurance involved I really appreciate them for taking care of the paint at a very reasonable price. Came over within a week with the matching paint and was able to do it in the comfort of my own garage too!

Ralph took great care of my vehicle and restored the front bumper cover on my Alfa Romeo to like new condition. The price was very reasonable in consideration to what a body shop would have charged to repair the damage and repaint. Very pleased and highly recommended.

Had some paint scuffs and a 4-6" dent on the right rear side of my Ford Explorer. Keith did an amazing job and the vehicle looks like it is brand new where the damage was. Quality of work is excellent for a very reasonable price. Technician arrived right on time.

Sloppy Scheduling, Poor Communication, and Unfinished Work I had a frustrating experience with Bumper Buddies. When I first called, the salesman was extremely pushy and pressured me into an appointment and then turns out they never actually scheduled it. I took time off work only to be told they had no record of it, and then they tried to dictate what day they had available next, completely disregarding my schedule after their mistake. I eventually paid $525 for a bumper repair and submitted multiple photos in advance. At no point did anyone mention an issue with "two colors" on the bumper. Not over the phone, not in texts, and not even when the technician was working on it. Only after the job was done did I have to call them to figure out why their work was incomplete. They say they couldn't fully correct the paint and the owner then tried to charge me even more money to finish the work I already paid for, and that he may come out to do it himself but only if he "felt" like it. The grey paint formed bubbles shortly after (I left it alone as advised) and the black paint was never repaired. This place is disorganized, lacks transparency, and doesn't take accountability. I wouldn't trust them with your time or your car.

I contacted Bumper Buddies to get a quote to repair a small ding with dentless paint repair on my truck tailgate. I got a quote of $275 to $475. I have had enough dings removed over the years to know that this is a 20 minute job. So basically, they gouge people roughly $1,000 per hour. I received two other quotes from other companies that were less than a third of the amount they quoted me. It is sad how companies way overcharge people these days. read more

They fixed a large scrape on my bumper. I was quoted by a dealership collision center $850 to repair. They said it needed to be repainted. Bumper buddies quoted $475-575 to repaint. The technician came out and with his 20+ years experience, he determined that it's possible to wet sand and buff it out. I was skeptical, but I'm glad I went with his suggestion. The total was $225 to fix it without paint. I'm very happy. Even if I needed paint, I would like to use bumper buddies since they came to my house and were half the price of the average collision center that would have taken weeks to fix. NOTE* This review is based on customer service, I have not had my car repaired here. I need to get some PDR done on my car. Yelp sent a quote blast out and Bumper Buddies were included. They responded very quickly. Sadly they don't do PDR anymore. I figured since they responded quick I'd ask them what they thought was fair for the job so I'd know if my other quotes were accurate. They responded again quickly and gave me some advice on the techniques used to handle a job like this and a comparison of cost based on what's selected. I was able to understand that PDR is my best path, and is most cost effective for what I need. I also found out the quotes I received from other companies were in the ball park. Great that they went above and beyond to respond to me despite the job not being right for them. I can only imagine there service to others is this good. My car got rear ended on the freeway and the person who hit me offered this service in lieu of going through an insurance nightmare. I was a bit skeptical but ultimately said okay. Ralph was able to take a look at the damage and decided replacing the bumper would be best. The bumper looks absolutely incredible! It looks even better than when we first got the car. As someone who religiously reads reviews, trust that Bumper Buddies gets multiple five stars every time because of their fantastic service. Highly highly impressed. I was rear ended by someone and got two screw hole dents in my back bumper. I bought the car less than a month prior so having damage was unacceptable. I decided to go with Bumper Buddies due to the very good reviews and was not disappointed at all. It's been a few months since Gage came out and took car of my 2019 Hyundai, but it seems like it's time to give these Bumper Buddies some credit! I've recommended them to many people since our work was done. Like others, I took the car for an estimate and was told $1000+ for some scratches on the bumper. The other places wanted to keep the car for a few days and the whole idea of that was silly. Gage came out promptly and did beautiful work. These guys are artists and it was worth every penny. Wow! Talk about amazing service! Mike and Gauge were professional, quick, and my car came out good as new for under $400. Someone had bumped my car in a parking lot a few months ago and I couldn't find a decent price anywhere to fix a series is small dents and rubbing of the paint. Super impressed with Bumper Buddies! I received a quote on Tuesday night, and they had an opening Wednesday to do the repair. I was given a 2 hour window, and received a text from Gage in the morning with a more exact ETA (in the window) and he was right on time. After looking at the damage in person, he ended up charging me a little less than I was originally quoted and that really impressed me and showed this company has integrity and cares about what they do! He estimated about 2 hours and once again was right on time and the repairs turned out awesome. It looks like a brand new bumper for a fraction of the cost of actually having to replace the whole bumper. Definitely recommend Bumper Buddies and Gage. Great price! Great service! Amazing work! My husband's car was back into in a parking lot! Bumper Buddies came to our house on Saturday, within the agreed upon arrival window and two hours later, Gage had made the bumper look brand new!! I had backed into the tongue of our camping trailer last year and didn't want to pay a body shop to fix it. Well I got tired of looking at my bumper and having it remind me of my stupidity so I reached out to bumper buddies. They were super reasonably priced and honest about the repair (they said it wouldn't be 100% but maybe 97%). They came to my house and 2 hours later I would say my number was 100% fixed. Contacted on a Monday and scheduled a free consult the following day. Based upon their availability, Gage came out to my place, gave me a quote on what they're capable of repairing, agreed on the circumstance, and got it repaired. More than happy with the finished product and the professionalism these guys provided. They were straight to the point and got it done within the timeframe stated (2 hrs). WARNING, not sure if they are still in business. I called the number, and the call went to a call center. I had a very hard time understanding the CSR. She instructed me to send a photo. When I did, I got a text back immediately that read, "We appreciate you sending that one over. Based on your photo, PDR (Paintless dent repair) is the best option for your request. We do not offer it at this moment due to limited staffing but it would be the best and most affordable route to take for this request". NOT GOOD! read more

I am not one to take time to write a review, but I feel compelled to share the incredible experience I had with Bumper Buddies! I had received several quotes that were easily 3 to 4 times MORE than the quote I received from Bumper Buddies. I wasn't sure what to expect..... To say they OVER DELIVERED would be an understatement! First of all, Ralph came out same day as he was in my area - he explained the entire process to me, was in and out in less than 2 hours, and matched the paint to perfection! The bumper literally looks good as new! In fact, I showed my son and the first thing he asked was "what side was the damage on?" - it was that good!! After gouging my front bumper by closing the garage door on it, I had to have if fixed ASAP. If you let some damage go, after a while, your car is in bad shape. I called Bumper Budies after I learned the a nearby body shop wanted anmost $1,800 to repairit. The estimate I received from Bumper Buddies was a quarter of the cost from the body shop. Joe showed up and went right to work. I did not want to watch him work because I knew it could never restore the bumper the way it looked before. When I saw the finished product, I was shocked. I told Joe it was too new looking! I can't believe how restored it was. In the past I tried to fix a tiny ding from a small rock and the result was very poor. I should have called these folks. They were responsive, and the person that came to the house was very polite and arrived at the suggest time window, with 20 min notice of when he would arrive. However, without removing the bumper, determined it couldn't be repaired and then said I would need to go get it replaced. Took it to a shop, and sure enough, they repaired it with 5 hours labor (which is a pretty normal allotment for a bumper hit). Annoyed because it could have saved me about 500 dollars. So they were nice, but it appears just made the wrong call in my case. read more

Several months ago, I backed my Nissan Versa into a golf cart, mangling the paint and creating a small dent on the lower part of my rear bumper - I found Bumper Buddies through Yelp, read the reviews and submitted pics of the damage for a quote. They were quick to call me directly for complete details, and assured me that they could fix the problem and less than half of what I had been previously quoted, so I scheduled an appointment with them - I am so glad I did ! Someone rear ended my husband and they didn't have insurance. We were debating even fixing the damage because it was pretty minor, but it still bothered us. We got a few quotes of places who wanted to replace the entire bumper, but it would cost way more than we wanted to spend. I had backed into a rock wall around my garage with my 2017 immaculate Camaro SS. Minor damage but would cost at least $1600 at a body shop for a complete remove bumpers and repair not to mention having to leave my car at the shop 2 to 3 weeks before they could get to it. NO WAY Joe with Bumper Buddies came over in a week and started the repair. Clear coat had some runs in it. So Joe came back in 2 weeks so the paint cured properly. He wet sanded the areas and buffed out. I was amazed at the finished product. I would highly recommend BB. Total cost $575. Troubles with this company from the start....... Ralph, the owner was the one that was going to paint my car. He no called no showed to our first appointment then rescheduled me for a week out after that. That next appointment he didn't plan ahead and didn't know how to get to our house to do the job, shows up and your late and then says his extension cord isn't long enough to do the job and LEFT..... On top of this, he quoted me a range of what it would cost and of course it was the higher price. I canceled my job and will not be referring them to anyone. read more

Paul was the one who worked on my 2019 Camaro. My fender was dented in & my bumper had gash & couple dents. I was skeptical because every other place was charging an arm & a leg. What they were charging me was a good price. After couple days of work I went outside and checked on it & wow my mind was blown.
