I reached out to five local mobile dent repair companies to repair a dent on my rear tailgate on my classic 4Runner, that I caused when I backed into a tree branch. Bumper Buddies responded the fastest, had the best communication, and their quote was the best as well. I am so glad I hired them to fix the dent. The work came out great, even better than I was expecting! Jason, the technician who came out, was the consummate professional, and did a great job in communicating and with the actual workmanship. His decades of experience shows, and I wholeheartedly recommend Bumper Buddies.

Thank you for reaching out in response to my review. Yes, the work was done in 2024. I completely understand what you're saying about the age of the paint and how difficult it can be to match, but that's exactly the kind of information I wish had been shared with me upfront--when I booked the appointment and received the estimate. Instead, I only learned about those limitations after the work was finished and I expressed that I wasn't happy with the result. I'm not a confrontational person, so in the moment I didn't really know what to do. The machine asked for a tip, so I added one and just assumed maybe I was expecting too much. But when my husband got home and saw it, he immediately felt the same way I did--that the paint didn't match at all. Even if that was the best possible outcome, we would've appreciated knowing that ahead of time so we could make an informed decision. At this point, I've moved on, and I do appreciate you reaching out. I actually tried contacting you outside of Yelp at the time and never received a response, which is why I eventually posted the review. It sounds like you've done great work since then, and I'm sure the work on my car was done with care too. I just think more education on the front end would have made a big difference in my expectations.

i had the best experience with bumper buddies! the fact that they come to you is so convenient, especially since it can be difficult to find places that are willing to work on teslas. i had a pretty bad scratch on my door and honestly wasn't very hopeful that it could be fixed, but orlando did an amazing job. my car seriously couldn't look better, it looks like the scratch was never even there! i'm beyond happy with the results and the whole process was easy from start to finish. i would absolutely use bumper buddies again and will definitely be recommending them to my friends and family. thank you, orlando!

I had a very frustrating experience with Bumper Buddies and would not recommend them based on both the quality of work and the lack of follow-up. I paid $650 for a front bumper repair on my 2014 435i. Before moving forward, I specifically told the technician I was deciding between repairing the bumper or fully replacing it, and that I only wanted to proceed if the result would look acceptable. I relied on their recommendation and moved forward with the repair. The final result was disappointing. The paint had noticeable orange peel, the panel shaping was uneven and wavy, there was overspray, and even the parking sensor was painted over. After reaching out, it took significant effort just to get them to come back out. When they finally did, the "correction" was essentially a quick buff and some minor cleanup -- it did not address the underlying issues. I was then told that because the original damage involved a split in the bumper, the result I had was essentially the best it could look and that it wasn't fully correctable. That was extremely frustrating to hear, because had that been clearly communicated upfront, I would have chosen to replace the bumper instead of attempting a repair. Following that visit, I attempted multiple times over the course of a couple weeks to resolve the situation and discuss a partial refund. Communication was extremely poor -- emails went unanswered, texts were ignored, and I was repeatedly told someone would follow up when no one ever did. At this point, I've had to pursue a chargeback due to unsatisfactory workmanship and lack of customer support. Overall, the experience felt rushed, the quality did not meet expectations, and the follow-up service was even worse. I would strongly recommend considering other options, especially for anything beyond very minor cosmetic repairs. Update to owners response: I think it's important to clarify a few things here, as parts of your response are not accurate. While I did sign off initially, that was based on a quick review immediately after the repair. The issues became much more noticeable over time in normal lighting and daily use. I also had friends and family point out the poor finish and uneven panel work, which reinforced my concerns -- I take pride in my vehicle, and this simply was not an acceptable result. I first reached out again in mid-February to raise these concerns, and it took repeated follow-ups over several weeks to get a return visit scheduled, which did not occur until March 24th. After that visit, I again had to follow up multiple times over more than a week through both email and text with little to no response before finally hearing back. During that visit, I was told that because the bumper had split, the current result was essentially the best it could be and not fully correctable. That is the core issue -- had that been communicated upfront, I would have chosen a full replacement instead of a repair. I also want to correct a misstatement in your response. At no point did I threaten to post a negative review or file a chargeback in exchange for a refund. The message you're referencing was sent only after weeks of repeated follow-ups and lack of response, and simply stated that if I did not hear back, I would move forward with a chargeback due to the unresolved issues. That is not a threat -- it was a final step after multiple attempts to resolve this directly. The follow-up "corrections" did not resolve the underlying issues, and the quality still does not meet expectations. My request for a partial refund reflects the fact that the result did not match what was discussed beforehand, the limitations were not disclosed upfront, and the communication throughout this process required persistent follow-up just to receive basic responses.

My husband has a 2003 Infinity G35 bright red sports car with less than 100k miles on it...mint condition, his baby! Someone hit his bumper in a grocery store parking lot and made a big dent. He went to 2 auto body shops and they quoted him $1700-1900! We called Bumper Buddies and Jason did it in our garage for a very small fraction of those quotes! He is a really nice guy, a family man, and fun to talk to as he let us watch. Just a couple hours in our own garage and the car looks amazing...like it never happened! Highly recommend Bumper Buddies and Jason!

Unable to find correct paint for touch up which looked off

Had a chip and then repaired the body work myself, but the color did not match. Fortunately Justin from Bumper Buddies reviewed the request and tried his best to keep the cost low as possible on a re-spray of the panel. Since I didn't want to get car insurance involved I really appreciate them for taking care of the paint at a very reasonable price. Came over within a week with the matching paint and was able to do it in the comfort of my own garage too!

Had some paint scuffs and a 4-6" dent on the right rear side of my Ford Explorer. Keith did an amazing job and the vehicle looks like it is brand new where the damage was. Quality of work is excellent for a very reasonable price. Technician arrived right on time.

Sloppy Scheduling, Poor Communication, and Unfinished Work I had a frustrating experience with Bumper Buddies. When I first called, the salesman was extremely pushy and pressured me into an appointment and then turns out they never actually scheduled it. I took time off work only to be told they had no record of it, and then they tried to dictate what day they had available next, completely disregarding my schedule after their mistake. I eventually paid $525 for a bumper repair and submitted multiple photos in advance. At no point did anyone mention an issue with "two colors" on the bumper. Not over the phone, not in texts, and not even when the technician was working on it. Only after the job was done did I have to call them to figure out why their work was incomplete. They say they couldn't fully correct the paint and the owner then tried to charge me even more money to finish the work I already paid for, and that he may come out to do it himself but only if he "felt" like it. The grey paint formed bubbles shortly after (I left it alone as advised) and the black paint was never repaired. This place is disorganized, lacks transparency, and doesn't take accountability. I wouldn't trust them with your time or your car.

During out Covid shutdown I was waiting in a parking lot to meet someone, and a random man pulled up beside me and told me he could fix my mangled front bumper that had been messed up for months. He told me he worked for bumper buddies. I didnt have the money to get it fixed right then since I was out of work. NOTE* This review is based on customer service, I have not had my car repaired here. I need to get some PDR done on my car. Yelp sent a quote blast out and Bumper Buddies were included. They responded very quickly. Sadly they don't do PDR anymore. I figured since they responded quick I'd ask them what they thought was fair for the job so I'd know if my other quotes were accurate. They responded again quickly and gave me some advice on the techniques used to handle a job like this and a comparison of cost based on what's selected. I was able to understand that PDR is my best path, and is most cost effective for what I need. I also found out the quotes I received from other companies were in the ball park. Great that they went above and beyond to respond to me despite the job not being right for them. I can only imagine there service to others is this good. I contacted Bumper Buddies to get a quote to repair a small ding with dentless paint repair on my truck tailgate. I got a quote of $275 to $475. I have had enough dings removed over the years to know that this is a 20 minute job. So basically, they gouge people roughly $1,000 per hour. I received two other quotes from other companies that were less than a third of the amount they quoted me. It is sad how companies way overcharge people these days. read more

They fixed a large scrape on my bumper. I was quoted by a dealership collision center $850 to repair. They said it needed to be repainted. Bumper buddies quoted $475-575 to repaint. The technician came out and with his 20+ years experience, he determined that it's possible to wet sand and buff it out. I was skeptical, but I'm glad I went with his suggestion. The total was $225 to fix it without paint. I'm very happy. Even if I needed paint, I would like to use bumper buddies since they came to my house and were half the price of the average collision center that would have taken weeks to fix. This issue was resolved in 2 days from first contact to fixed in my driveway! read more

Highly highly impressed. I was rear ended by someone and got two screw hole dents in my back bumper. I bought the car less than a month prior so having damage was unacceptable. I decided to go with Bumper Buddies due to the very good reviews and was not disappointed at all. I was worried that my German sports car would not be the same unless I spent a fortune for the new bumper but these guys saved me! Kudos to Ralph and co! I had someone do a "hit and run" job to my car, left a small hole in the rear bumper and was left with dealing with the damage myself. Most places don't even deal with repair, they just wanted to replace the whole bumper to a price over $1,000. Lucky I found the Bumper Buddies! I sent them over a photo of the damage, they came back with a ballpark price later that day! By the end of the day I had a technician scheduled to work on my car later in the week. To my luck, they were ahead of schedule and offered to come by a day early and get to repairing my bumper. The repair technicians were clean cut, professional and didn't waste any time getting to the repairs of the vehicle. My rear bumper looks brand new and the price was a fraction of the cost of the big repair centers. 10/10 would recommend to friends and family. read more

I had backed into a rock wall around my garage with my 2017 immaculate Camaro SS. Minor damage but would cost at least $1600 at a body shop for a complete remove bumpers and repair not to mention having to leave my car at the shop 2 to 3 weeks before they could get to it. NO WAY Joe with Bumper Buddies came over in a week and started the repair. Clear coat had some runs in it. So Joe came back in 2 weeks so the paint cured properly. He wet sanded the areas and buffed out. I was amazed at the finished product. I would highly recommend BB. Total cost $575. It's been a few months since Gage came out and took car of my 2019 Hyundai, but it seems like it's time to give these Bumper Buddies some credit! I've recommended them to many people since our work was done. Like others, I took the car for an estimate and was told $1000+ for some scratches on the bumper. The other places wanted to keep the car for a few days and the whole idea of that was silly. Gage came out promptly and did beautiful work. These guys are artists and it was worth every penny. My car got rear ended on the freeway and the person who hit me offered this service in lieu of going through an insurance nightmare. I was a bit skeptical but ultimately said okay. Ralph was able to take a look at the damage and decided replacing the bumper would be best. The bumper looks absolutely incredible! It looks even better than when we first got the car. As someone who religiously reads reviews, trust that Bumper Buddies gets multiple five stars every time because of their fantastic service. Wow! Talk about amazing service! Mike and Gauge were professional, quick, and my car came out good as new for under $400. Someone had bumped my car in a parking lot a few months ago and I couldn't find a decent price anywhere to fix a series is small dents and rubbing of the paint. I found them here on yelp and coordinating it all online in less than 10 minutes and they came to my home to fix it a week later. Highly recommend using them if you need to! read more

Super impressed with Bumper Buddies! I received a quote on Tuesday night, and they had an opening Wednesday to do the repair. I was given a 2 hour window, and received a text from Gage in the morning with a more exact ETA (in the window) and he was right on time. After looking at the damage in person, he ended up charging me a little less than I was originally quoted and that really impressed me and showed this company has integrity and cares about what they do! He estimated about 2 hours and once again was right on time and the repairs turned out awesome. It looks like a brand new bumper for a fraction of the cost of actually having to replace the whole bumper. Definitely recommend Bumper Buddies and Gage. Great price! Great service! I had backed into the tongue of our camping trailer last year and didn't want to pay a body shop to fix it. Well I got tired of looking at my bumper and having it remind me of my stupidity so I reached out to bumper buddies. They were super reasonably priced and honest about the repair (they said it wouldn't be 100% but maybe 97%). They came to my house and 2 hours later I would say my number was 100% fixed. Contacted on a Monday and scheduled a free consult the following day. Based upon their availability, Gage came out to my place, gave me a quote on what they're capable of repairing, agreed on the circumstance, and got it repaired. More than happy with the finished product and the professionalism these guys provided. They were straight to the point and got it done within the timeframe stated (2 hrs). Although limited to types of repair, I would consult them again for any future mishaps. Highly recommend and hope you find this helpful. read more

Several months ago, I backed my Nissan Versa into a golf cart, mangling the paint and creating a small dent on the lower part of my rear bumper - I found Bumper Buddies through Yelp, read the reviews and submitted pics of the damage for a quote. They were quick to call me directly for complete details, and assured me that they could fix the problem and less than half of what I had been previously quoted, so I scheduled an appointment with them - I am so glad I did ! They sent Paul out, who was a really personable and professional, and he did such an amazing job ! He took the time to do the job right, and when he was finished, my bumper looked brand new ! WOW ! Troubles with this company from the start....... Ralph, the owner was the one that was going to paint my car. He no called no showed to our first appointment then rescheduled me for a week out after that. That next appointment he didn't plan ahead and didn't know how to get to our house to do the job, shows up and your late and then says his extension cord isn't long enough to do the job and LEFT..... On top of this, he quoted me a range of what it would cost and of course it was the higher price. I canceled my job and will not be referring them to anyone. read more

Paul was the one who worked on my 2019 Camaro. My fender was dented in & my bumper had gash & couple dents. I was skeptical because every other place was charging an arm & a leg. What they were charging me was a good price. After couple days of work I went outside and checked on it & wow my mind was blown. He gave me a very reasonable quote on two small dents -- one on the passenger door above the handle and the other on the top side of the fender. The fender dent was taken care of quickly but the door dent was deep and in a very difficult place and he worked on it for 2/12 hours till it was perfect. He kept his quoted price even though the door dent took him almost 2 hours longer than he thought. He's very professional, ethical, personable, and is a true dent wizard! Side note: While talking to Vu, I learned that he only started his business 5 months ago -- thus the limited number of reviews. However, he had previously worked for a large body shop for 14 years doing paintless dent repairs. He's probably one of the most experienced PDR techs in the Valley.
