I was leaving for Italy, and didn't know what to do, so the center got me in, did an exam, and said I needed to get it removed by a laser procedure. Hill Country got an appointment for me in San Antonio and the doctor removed the film and voila' my eye is as clear as it was when I had the cataract surgery 15 years ago! Dr. Iskander peformed the laser procedure and he was wonderful! I would recommend both Hill County Vision Center in Bulverde and San Antonio Eye Specialists! Both did a great job and I went on vacation with clear eyesight to see the country of Italy. I was so lucky!!

This year, we decided to make a change and try Stone Oak Vision Source located on Stone Oak Pkwy and Hardy Oak. We were able to secure two consecutive appointment slots, which was super convenient since we wouldn't have to make two separate visits. TLDR: I think we've finally found our new place for eye care! The staff was helpful and knowledgeable, getting all of our insurance benefits and allowances to be able to accurately explain our options and costs, even providing us with rebate options that could be applied. From checking in to administering the basic scans and tests. Everything went smoothly and swiftly. Our visit with Dr Mann went very well. Very thorough and knowledgeable, and he explained everything clearly. They have a nice selection of glasses to choose from. My husband found several pairs that looked great, so he ordered more than one pair. For me, I would have liked to see more variety in style. It seemed that there were many great brands, but the styles were very similar between them and I had less luck than my husband in that regard. However, they were able to simply replace the lenses in a pair I already have and love! Very happy with the entire experience and will definitely use Dr Mann going forward.

I'm not sure if I can give a negative or zero stars for this place…read more I went in December of 2019 to get my exam. I have a very weird prescription so I was told 4-6 weeks to get my contacts. A month later I hadn't heard anything so I stopped by since I was in the area. I asked the status of my contacts. The young lady went to the back and couldn't find any contacts. I assume they never got ordered. I was told 4-6 weeks. A month after my previous visit I stop by again. The young lady looks in the back again. She finds one set of contacts ( I have two different prescriptions, one for each eye). She can't find the other set of contacts and says it'll be 4-6 weeks. A month after my previous visit I stop by again. The young lady goes to the back and can't find any contacts. She says it'll be 4-6 weeks. The whole shelter in home thing happens and I'm still without contacts. I call and I'm told to check in at the end of the month. It is over 4 months (not weeks) by now and still no contacts. I ask if I can get a copy of my prescription so I can try somewhere else to see if I can get some contacts. They say they will send my prescription. A week goes by and I haven't got my prescription. I call again and am told they will email the manager. So I'm not sure if it'll be a few more months before I can even get my prescription. I'm not sure how long the prescription is good for so hopefully whoever I can get if I even get my prescription will honor the prescription. I will keep contacting them to see if I ever get a copy of the prescription I have already paid for. I would definitely not recommend this place. There used to be an older gentleman optometrist and an older lady attendant. I wish they were still there.

Received my first pair, felt like my eyes were going cross-eyed because there was something very wrong with the prescription. They checked the glasses with the machine, and told me it "appeared" to be just fine. I kept telling them I am seeing double! They finally took them back and had them sent back - to realize that there really WAS something very wrong in the production of the glasses. Waited so long, many mistakes made, and of course me... I am so patient and understanding. My advice - please get your business in order.

I can't say enough good things about Lookout Eyewear and Dr. Urbina…read more I was having an issue with my eye and was understandably concerned, so my wife called Lookout to see if there was any way I could be seen right away. They were incredibly accommodating and squeezed me in at the very last minute, even though they were essentially at the end of their day. Dr. Urbina saw me right away and was extremely patient, kind, and thorough. He was able to quickly identify what he thought was going on, but rather than simply stopping there, he took the time to rule out anything more serious. He spent another 30 minutes or so doing additional tests and making sure everything checked out. That extra level of care really meant a lot to us. It gave both my wife and me the peace of mind we needed, knowing that he took the time to be thorough rather than simply making a quick diagnosis. Dr. Urbina was wonderful, and the staff was just as accommodating and welcoming. They went above and beyond to take care of me when I needed it most. I would absolutely recommend Lookout Eyewear to anyone looking for an eye doctor in San Antonio. Five stars all the way!
