    Granada Fizz

After attending a Galentine's Day Mini Market, Carla and I had brunch at Bully Spanish Steakhouse and overall, it was a solid experience with a few highs and a few things that didn't quite land for me. I appreciated that their menu featured two mocktail options. It is always nice to see thoughtful non-alcoholic choices included for brunch guests who aren't drinking. I tried the Granada Fizz (12), which consisted of pomegranate, bergamot, and soda. I didn't expect this cocktail to be so tart. It was bright and refreshing, but I just wanted a little more balance. There wasn't a salad listed on the brunch menu, but I asked if they could make the Brasa Wedge (14) and they kindly accommodated. Grilled baby gem, manchego dressing, smoked jamón bits, cherry tomatoes -- and it was beautifully plated. Smoky, savory, and visually stunning. This ended up being my favorite part of the meal. Service was accommodating and the presentation was strong, but the overall brunch menu felt a bit limited for my personal preferences. That said...it is a Spanish steakhouse, and I have a feeling dinner is where they truly shine. I'd absolutely come back to explore their steak and evening offerings -- I think that's where the full experience might really impress.

I was thinking steak last week and a website I subscribe to had a list of new for February of 2026 restaurants to try. Bully was on the list. Ok, seemed to get better than average reviews so I booked a reservation. I got out of work and headed to the Dupont circle metro stop. It's pretty simple to find, down Connecticut and a right on M St. The metro site has you walking another 10 blocks. It was a chilly breezy night so I decided to take the shorter route. I arrived right on time at 6:30PM. For a Thursday I expected more people...I was seated to the right of the bar at a small table. The place is dark inside, like I had to use my phone to light up the menu. I don't remember which beer I ordered but it came out quick. It was tasty. The menu in the restaurant is a bit different from what is on the website. I was deciding between the flank steak and the hangar steak. The hangar steak won out. For a side I ordered the patatas bravas luxe (small fried potatoes with two sides for dipping). I'm enjoying being inside out of the cold and the wind. The beer is going down nice. A few more people come into the restaurant. One dude sits at the bar. The beer is half gone and my steak and potatoes arrive. The aroma is heavenly. The potatoes are hot...just a heads up if you decide to order them. The place is dark so I'm looking at my food with the light from my phone. The meat is very tender, cooked perfectly. It's seasoned with something that's very good. The spuds are cool enough to eat so I'm enjoying them as well. The cut is very filling and every bite is tasty. Bully definitely delivers when it comes to quality steak. The beer is gone, potatoes gone and the steak definitely gone and enjoyed.

Bully is a new Spanish steakhouse in the Eurostars Hotel in DuPont. It's split into two sections in the lobby with a dining area one side and a small bar with a few booths on the other side. They have HH bar bites from 4 pm - close everyday. I tried the steak skewers, calamari, bikini sandwich and prawns. I also had the Roja sangria tower. Overall everything tasted good but definitely room for improvements as a newer establishment. The service was also very slow to get our orders taken but everything comes out pretty quickly after it's taken.

New steakhouse. Food is was very tasty. Everything was delicious. I would highly recommend the crispy braised bacon and chorizo stuffed portobello for appetizers, any of the steaks, Roja sangria tower and the bread pudding. The steaks were tender and succulent. Ambiance was very mellow, relaxing and calming. Service was good. John Carlos, the general manager, explained his cultural influence with the menu. We also met the chef Jonathan. If they keep up the consistency, they will have a successful future ahead!

The recommendation to pair the honey with the cheese on the biscuits was excellent and took an already great item to another level. The broccolini, coffee, and espresso shot were not our favorites of the evening, but honestly, the other dishes were so good that we quickly forgot about them. Every course seemed to have something memorable to offer. The bartender service was stellar throughout the night, attentive without being intrusive, and helped make the experience even more enjoyable. We left full, satisfied, and already talking about what we'd order on our next visit. Looking forward to coming back.

They made sure to keep our table clean and gave us new silverware and plates before or entrees arrived. Any food that we did not finish was boxed up and put into bags for us. The manager was actively walking around the restaurant, making sure that every guest were enjoying their dinner. The food was good all around but there are some dishes that outshine the rest. The ribeye and New York strip were very good. The butchers steak I got for my son and he didn't really like it, it was lacking flavor. If you do anything when you go, please make sure to get the biscuits. Hands down THE BEST BISCUITS I've ever had lol. They are the most flaky and buttery biscuits, you can count each layer that these have. Pro tip is to ask for butter and the house made jam. The pimento cheese is good with them but it becomes a little too decadent. Overall I'm happy we made the decision to come here, we will be back soon.

Well Joe's Seafood checks every box and some others I didn't mention. The entire staff is professional, in a warm welcoming way. They ensure that your experience is a delightful one, filled with superb pampering service. And then there's the food !!! This is when I was totally floored... for starters the assorted bread basket for the table is absolutely delicious ( I literally had to force myself to stop alternating between the muffins and mini biscuits ) Since I was eating light today I ordered the seafood salad ( chilled lobster & shrimp on top ) and the salad was so fresh and had that crisp salad crunch that mesmerized my taste buds with every bite !!! DC hands down is one of the top restaurant city's in the country and Joe's Seafood, Prime Steak & Stone Crab is a big reason I can make that statement with absolute confidence !!!

Ambiance was OK, the place was packed. People were very casual, which surprised me for such an expensive restaurant.

We kicked off dinner with the shrimp cocktail, oysters, and lobster bisque, which were all fresh, flavorful, and a great way to start the meal. Both were excellent, but the lobster roll was the clear standout and something I would absolutely order again. By the time the entrees arrived, it felt like we had sampled half the menu, but I still made room for the twin lobster tails. They were perfectly cooked, buttery, and worth every bite. To finish the evening, we shared Mastro's famous Butter Cake, which lived up to the hype and was the perfect ending to an incredible meal. Our water was filled regularly, suggestions were readily available to the many questions we had. I also thought it was a nice touch that your bagged items are taken off table and you are given a ticket without awkwardly taking up space while you maybe were still chatting or enjoying an after dinner drink or dessert.
