Also make sure that you secure your belongings because my daughter's phone pop out of her pocket then hit the floor of the vehicle and then bounced out onto the ground Next we did the ax throw which we're only supposed to get 2,3 throws but the young lady let us continue until we hit the target because we were the only customers over there so she let us get multiple turns which was really cool Lastly was the Mini golf they don't give you a pencil or a piece of paper or to keep score is really freestyle freestyling and people are walking around the course and kinda in the way so don't think of it as a complete game from start to finish you might have to alter courses But I think my favorite part was the Instagram worthy props and photo ops located all around the property to take some really awesome shots group shots in my daughter and I really got some nice photos together

When buying tickets online, you have to select a time slot, but that feature is completely useless. You can arrive whenever on your ticketed date and stay as long as you'd like. The problem is that on busy nights you face extremely long lines for the attractions and the park is over crowded- especially during COVID! There was no capacity limit set, no one (staff especially) was wearing masks, even though we were outside, social distancing wasn't enforced, and the props (axe, golf clubs and balls, go kart machines) weren't cleaned after each guest. Every attraction we headed to there was a long line, at least a 30 minute wait-- go karts have the longest line. Overall, Neon Summer is a nice concept, but they need better time management and crowd control because it was not enjoyable to wait 30+ minutes in every line, including the bars. If I were to go back it would be on a weekday or in the afternoon. The park is open to kids and adults, and kids can do all of the activities except axe throwing. On the website it states closed toe shoes must be worn, but that wasn't enforced. Staff was friendly and easy to talk to.

Out of maybe the 5 or 6 different places I've been to for an escape the room (some out of state, some around the area), this was my favorite one. With only 3 reviews seen on Yelp, I was a little hesitant to choose this place over so many others in the area. Groupon gave us a good price, so we went with this, and I'm glad we did. We did the "my crazy ex" room, which was great, and I hope to be back for the high school reunion, which the owner said had some scary features added to it. He said he used to work with haunted houses too, so I'm pretty interested in seeing what that one is like. It is similar to other escape the rooms where you find clues and input it in the locks to unlock the various locks in the room, but this was was so techy that they used other creative tactics to unlock boxes, drawers, etc. To be honest, I at first thought it was a little lame because I thought the person watching us just opened things with a press of a button when we did different actions, but I asked later on, and he showed us how different things worked. Hard to describe without giving spoilers of the room, but I'd have to say I was seriously mind blown about how creative things were and how fancy the technology was here. I loved this factor added into it. They have a 10 minute game that's only $5 a person on certain hours of weekdays, so we will most likely be back for this too! I definitely was hesitant at first to come here due to a few things (barely any Yelp reviews, homemade looking winner/loser signs/a few things that made it not look as professional or techy (the Hotmail email address :D....sorry, break escape for throwing you under here), but after experiencing their room, I'd really have to say there is a mastermind here who made these and put these rooms together. There is plenty of space to run around and it doesn't feel crammed even when they are hosting a birthday party like one today. Check in was easy and the punch card offers a good deal at $100 for 4 weekday and 2 weekend punches. I also scored a $5 discount for becoming a member and another $5 by getting a coupon their website and that made it totally worth it. There is good food selection of pizza, hot dogs, chicken nuggets , popcorn, ice cream and slushies but we don't eat today so I can't comment on quality and taste but hope to be back soon.

We were a bit far from home and our kid was getting restless, so I looked up nearby indoor playgrounds and ended up here. It was $25 since it was a weekend until they closed at 6pm. Our kiddo had a fun time! It's not as gargantuan as some other playgrounds, but they have a baby and toddler area, and it's multi-story so there's a lot of climbing and sliding. They also have an area with a bunch of riding vehicles, and most fun of all was the ball room. I thought a place called ball factory would have more...balls? But the ball room is basically a room with air cannons that let you load and shoot these soft play balls around the room. It's surprisingly pretty fun even for the adults to fire off a few rounds. And as someone who has been to a few of these indoor playgrounds, I'm grateful you don't have to buy their proprietary socks. Like I went to one place that wanted grippy socks - and we had grippy socks, but they weren't theirs! Some places need better insurance policies I guess, so I'm glad the Ball Factory isn't insanely strict. What's also nice is there's a Polish grocery next door, so I grabbed a few items while my wife stayed here. Our only gripe is there could be more seating in the play area for us parents to catch up on our phones, but at least the food area has a lot of space. And kids even get a free ball on the way out! Overall I think we'll come back, but we'll be sure to eat lunch before and dinner after since outside food isn't allowed.

From mazes to electronic features, and engaging cast and gore, it was both fun and creepy from beginning to end. I definitely screamed a few times, and after I exited, I watched as other "survivors" came racing out to escape the final element of fear. I've been to several haunted houses, although not for several years, and this one stands out as one of the best I've been to in the area. While this is a park district production, it's definitely not for small children, but great for probably teenagers and up. For the general public, admission is $13, or $20 for a fast pass. I was told it takes about 15 minutes to go through it, though I didn't time our visit to confirm that. By the time we left around 7:30, the line had grown pretty long, and it was only the second day it was open for the season. I'd recommend a visit to Scream Scene to get you in the Halloween spirit!
