Omg!!!!!!!! Best haunted house we have ever been to - A neon sign spelling 'Scream Scene' is illuminated outside a haunted house attraction during sunset, with people waiting in line.

Oh my f*ng lord! What an experience man!! Love love love the effort and the detail into everything and every actor who has worked on this. Best haunted house experience everrrr! We went in without any expectations but were blown with the scary experience, every actor and props inside were so well done. We couldn't stop screaming and I was literally sticking to my husband throughout, if you are a heart patient, pls think before going, our hearts were pounding for quite a while after we were out. One good thing that they tell you before you enter, is none of the actors will touch you, I guess that definitely helped me calm my nerves. Overall a fabulous scary experience!!! Must goooo!!

Stop #2 on my haunted house expedition was this quiet little spot in Skokie, at the corner of Route 41 & Oakton St. Look for the large 'SCREAM SCENE' spelled out in neon red tubing. For $10, I received some decent scares and more-than-decent startles. The haunt only lasted about 8-1/2 minutes, but for a parks-&-recreations-department-sponsored event (which I've no doubt it was), they did a commendable job. Among other areas, there was a creepy hospital room, a very disorienting red-and-white-striped clown hallway, and of course, the obligatory claustrophobic bags. Perhaps my favorite scene (and one that I'll remember for a long time) involved a corridor full of glowing orange masks. Due to the darkness, they were the only thing visible.....and several stealthy actors hid among them, wearing the exact same mask! An excellent opportunity to surprise guests, and they delivered! In one zone, a clown-type actor showed us where to go.....only to realize the narrow hallway was a dead-end, and (s)he had done it intentionally. Alright, joke's on us, but now what? One girl at the back of the group (now at the front) was not a fan, and with the clown now tormenting us all, she was literally too scared to move; the rest of us just stood there, waiting for either A) the clown to point out the exit door or B) said cowering girl to move. Neither budged, until the clown temporarily broke character and said "c'mon c'mon, it's this way." An interesting scare tactic, but in this case it backfired. There's a chainsaw-wielding maniac at the end, who I felt did an exemplary job of chasing patrons out of the house. Yeah, you could just walk out and exit normally, but it's much more fun to RUN out, feeling like you're being pursued by the roar of the chainsaw. Hehehe. Despite the short length, I'm glad I stopped by here on a tour of multiple haunts, and would recommend that those in the area do so as well. Kudos to the Scream Scene crew for teaching me not to judge a book by its cover/haunt by its façade!

Since this is a park district I thought it would be lame and not that scary but I was completely wrong.

Have you read the story behind funbox? The owner and his reason behind this? I could not- not go…read moreafter hearing it. I will start by saying I had an issue with my reservation and the staff was extremely sincere and worked around my challenges without any attitude or reservation. I have to give massive credit to the staff who are mostly high school/college students for their level of professionalism and customer service skill because a lot of time this generation is labeled as entitled or doesn't care. I got here on a Saturday for the first session at 10:30 am and I thought it's the perfect day for this- cool and 80. Just as a disclaimer, you should wear comfortable clothing that is breathable because you're in for a workout. I have a 5 and 2 year old- it took my two year old a lot of time to get adjusted to it because it's not the usual bounce house we go to and so many colors and things to do, it was sensory overload. Not the fault of the business, just my kid in true two year old behavior. We got out of the fun box to get a shaved ice and ended up going to the "obstacle course" section of Fun Box which was a big hit for my two year old. He literally went through the obstacle 3 times (I was drenched in sweat as a result) My five year old loved it too- the only thing I would make a complaint against is that there were not nearly enough basketballs for the hoop area which is a huge hit. I get it if balls were lost or broken but it would've been nice if there were more balls. I read some of the comments about water getting stuck on the inflatables or that there were some dirty areas but truth be told, I go to a lot of trampoline parks with my boys and this is by far the cleanest one I have ever been too. Yes, there was a little water but you're outside, you will have a little bit of bugs or water here or there but that comes with the territory. We can't fault the owners for natural occurrences. I had an amazing time with kiddos and I wish I had gone sooner because it was a lot of fun. If you can handle the heat, I would highly suggest going in the morning because it's not so crowded and you don't have to wait long to use some of the amenities but be warned it gets super hot super fast in the morning and as a result, the plastic gets hot too so it's a little tough going down some of the material. There are some shaded areas that are so nice and welcoming within the fun box. Overall, a great experience for families! Highly recommend!!

This was a fantastic concept, and would have been so much fun, but the experience left a lot of…read moreroom for improvement. It rained the day before, and the crevices were puddled with water, but as long as you watched where you were going, you didn't step in it. It was very hot, which allowed your socks to dry out fast. but unbearable without the purchase of snowcones. They can't really control the weather though. That said, it was as clean as you can expect an OUTDOOR bouncy house to be. No bugs except typical flying ones. Staff was all around in different areas, I'm not sure what they were supposed to be doing, but they took up all the shaded areas, so the kids couldn't even go up some of the towers. I made a quip about it to them, but we were about to leave anyway, so I didn't ask them to come out so the kids could actually play. I was very annoyed by this. It was not crowded at all. Front staff and snowcone staff was super friendly, and the bounce house itself is amazing. Cost of water and snow cones are pretty typical of any "event-type" place, so I wasn't surprised and they gave you a ton. I had the kids eat some, and I sat with it in the tent as they went back and forth playing and getting a few bites of snowcone, and it lasted nearly the entire 1.5hrs. I also was smart and brought my own ice water in an insulated water bottle..... it was fine! Areas of improvement: -staff taking up all the shaded areas in the bounce house- this itself deserves a 1star rating - honestly. -Maybe some industrial fans? To move the air a bit? Not sure how it would work in a bouncy house. Or leaf blowers to dry up the areas especially the "locker room" which smelled super moldy. Overall, it was an experience, and so much fun! We would go again on maybe a cooler day!

3X THE FUN Triple…read morePlay is located in Hometown Square in between the train station and the season pass processing center. The ride opened in 1976 and was manufactured by HUSS Rides. It is also known as a Trokia, which means 'group of three' in Russian. The Triple Play has three arms extending out from a center column. Each of these cars can seat up to two people and are located at the end of every arm in a circle. Now the fun begins when the operator turns on the ride. The center column rotates in a clockwise motion while the cars located at the end of the arms rotate in a counterclockwise motion. I am getting dizzy just thinking about this ride and let's not forget the sweeping motion of the ride as it goes up and down. You will also notice a slight rocking motion of the car from side to side. Now my description sounds a lot worse then the ride actually is. In fact, this ride is quite mild. It is a great beginner ride for your little one as you slowly work your kids up to bigger and faster coasters. This is another one of those rides that I have ridden on as a child and with my child. It is always fun to share these childhood memories. The line may look long but it moves fast. If I do my math correctly 21 cars times 2 people means 42 people can potentially ride at one time. I also feel that many people miss this ride because it is tucked in the corner. Make sure to do not wait until the end of the night to ride this because it will shut down early to accommodate the evening stage show and the nightly parade. You have been warned. My little one loves this ride and it is always fun to ride with her on it. She laughs and giggles. It always cracks me up when she asks me to hold on to her. This ride only has a metal lap bar and it does feel like you might fly out as the ride goes into it's dropping motion. I was curious as to how many of these rides still exist. I was able to find out in the USA, there are at least eight Troikas in operation and they are located at Cedar Point, Palace Playland, Kings Island, Elitch Gardens, Kings Dominion, Fun Spot Amusement Park, Six Flags Great America, and Six Flags Over Texas. So get on board this classic Trokia ride and feel the spin.

World saved! This review below was from first time! Fun! Fun! Safe and Clean and Happy Fun! We went in this morning party of 5/6 and were greeted warmly by the manager gentlemen so kindly even though my unruly kids were POUNDING on their doors. Once in the most kind and helpful lady was behind the desk and even though we hadn't prepped our waivers(wavers for safety reason) she slowly and kindly went over with each parent even though our kids were SCREAMING to go in she took her time and did it right and I got kids to simmer down and ensured they also would be good. Once inside the creative and colorful and safe and clean yet so well designed for fun space, we went wild. We had the whole joint to ourselves- we got there early and enjoyed the play to win (you win a toy every time) claw machines, the laser dance room, the slides and of course the maze of awesomeness!! The guy who was running the show was SPECTACULAR and totally WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND for us catering things to our whim practically as we went he made sure the toys we won were the ones we wanted. He made sure we knew where everything was and all the options for flash pass and the bumper race cars! It was so fun bc they were so accepting and accommodating yet still following rules so nobody gets hurt. We L O V E D our time and party there and will 100% go back this summer a ton. Oh and a special shot out to the young man behind the concession stand-- he went through all the snacks and drinks with each kid sooooo patiently it was amazing. Some wanted different things and he just calmly handled the tears and stuff. Those three made my day sooooo much easier and better. Forgot all of their names but next time I go in I'll be sure to get them and report back to ya
