$50 per person is pretty out of touch these days to charge someone. Don't even think about bringing a family of 4 or 5.

My wife did this tour a couple years ago and highly recommended it, but I wasn't especially interested because I had also gone to school here and figured I knew enough about Hyde Park already. However, she insisted that it would be worth our while and so I agreed to climb on the bus. And it was the absolutely right decision, because the tour was excellent. In fact, it wasn't just a tour of Hyde Park. It included the surrounding neighborhoods of Washington Park, Kenwood, Jackson Park, and Woodlawn. Since this was a UChicago sponsored event much of the information related to the University's investment and involvement in the area. Our tour guide and founder of Chicago Detours, Amanda, is herself a graduate of UChicago and thus she had some additional insight into the relationship with the community. Though the 75-minute tour felt a little slow-going at times, there was much to learn about the vibrant but sometimes troubled history of the area. Amanda has tremendous knowledge and the excursion was both fascinating and entertaining. I can imagine that Chicago Detours would have equally interesting tours of other neighborhoods in this diverse city.

He made the entire process incredibly easy and stress-free. We chose the Private Architectural Boat Tour, and the Chicago Dine Around team went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. They even arranged for us to tour the boat beforehand so we could confidently select the right experience for our group. For lunch, they seamlessly accommodated all dietary restrictions and preferences, making coordination effortless. Every detail was handled professionally, allowing us to focus on enjoying the event. The feedback from our team was overwhelmingly positive. Many team members said it was one of the best company events we've had to date. Even our Chicago-based employees, who are very familiar with the city, thoroughly enjoyed the tour and experience. I highly recommend Chicago Dine Around for anyone planning a corporate event or group outing. Their attention to detail, outstanding customer service, and local expertise made our event a huge success.

I would highly recommend Chicago Dine Around and we will absolutely return to book other events!

We were afraid of how to catch a taxi so decided to call a limo service, it's safer was our motivation. So I took to Yelp hours before our flight on Thanksgiving day. Most other Limo companies had unreliable reviews, were booked, or closed. I called Jorge and he said he would call me back and see what he could do. 20 minutes later he called me back and said OK I can do it, and it'll cost you this much including tip. We kept in touch through text on take off and landing, and he was very much on top of us, once we landed he promptly called letting us know the driver was outside and the license plate so we knew which car to approach. The driver was awesome at welcoming us, the vehicle was a large clean SUV and we were quickly laughing and getting trip advice from Hugo. We quickly told Jorge that we wanted to schedule a pick up back to the airport, and he put us down. That Sunday we got picked up by Jorge ' s dad, who was friendly and told us about his family and how the Limo service runs in the family, how proud he is of his kids, and his love for Chicago and Texas. We felt at home. He told us how what Jorge did picking us up last minute on Thanksgiving is rare in the industry and usually only for well known customers, so I highly appreciate everything Jorge did. We loved Chicago, and starting the trip and ending it with Insight Limousine & Sedan was a key to the trips success. Thank you Jorge, Happy New Year, and hope to use you again soon!

The collection is amazing. I guess a number of pieces have been sold already as they are closing in March I was told. Most of the items are downstairs and it's a massive space with rows and rows of display cabinets with mirrors so you can see the back sides of the jugs. I was blown away with the quality of these hand painted ceramic jugs. There are some non-Jugs but I'm guessing thousands of what seem to be unique items. I learned that there were production runs of the jugs but all hand painted. No admission but a donation jar. Come before the items disappear. You won't be disappointed.

Not sure what a Toby Jug is? Neither did I until today. It hails from a drunken Englishman who went to the pub every day. When he died, his friends created this type of jug to honor him. I'm sure I'm killing the story, but what followed that chain of events was more than 100 years of potteries making these jugs. There are jugs of presidents, Disney characters, the Harris Bank lion, Will Rogers, the Three Stooges, Stalin, and on and on. There are thousands of Jugs in case after case. This is a great place to bring kids. The museum provides a list of characters to discover on a scavenger hunt. I wish I had the time to join the hunt, looked like fun. I was there to help celebrate the life of this remarkable man. He was a Dartmouth grad, veteran, gold-winning (at age 85) swimmer, entrepreneur, and anchor in his community. May he Rest In Peace.
