The special comes with 2 pieces of boneless fried chicken breasts, 2 sides, and your choice of a roll or cornbread. However, if that is too much food and you don't want leftovers, you can ask for a 1 piece special as well, like I did tonight. I paired it with fried squash (with ranch), broccoli casserole, and a roll. The service is always great. They check on you and keep your beverage filled (for me that is a Jumbo unsweet tea). Sadly they are only open weekdays. But go check them out, they have different daily specials each day of the week.

The menu reflects the extra charges for dressing or sauces if you want it. The inside is the same as it was, nothing fancy inside. The waitresses all seemed helpful. We tried the chicken wings they were good. The baked spaghetti is almost $10 and you get a small plate and piece of garlic bread and a salad. I tried the ham & cheese sandwich. It was ok, .over all the food was better than we remembered from the last time we went. Ice tea was $3.00 a cup and they serve it in a Styrofoam cup. I think we might go back again and try something else or get some more wings. The blue cheese was good. Glad they are waiting on tables again.

There's a lot of fried food on the big platter plus hush puppies and fries. Kelly was our server and she was delightful. The restaurant was full from what we could see of it yet amazingly quiet. As we entered the establishment I asked a wise senior woman what she enjoyed the most on the menu and she replied " the prices". Big Dave must have a special supply chain to keep his prices so reasonable.

For Mother's Day 2021, mom wanted her special meal here. It had been awhile since we've eaten out…read morebecause of the lockdowns and regulations. The ambience was welcoming and relaxed. The place was packed and people were eating and having fun. We were greeted by a nice host wearing her mask, as were all staff. It's great to see but I wouldn't rate any business based on mask wearing, only on their food and service. If for instance a wait staff member pulled a mask down to get fresh oxygen or even removed their mask, I certainly will not get upset. Life is restarting again, normality is slowly returning, it's time to embrace it. If people need more time for safety reasons until things are more back to normal before eating out, then certainly they should stay home and order take out or delivery. I ordered a large thin crust pepperoni and a tossed salad with a tea. Mom ordered the Italian Garden Combo Dinner consisting of 'Marinated grilled beef tenderloin and marinated chicken tenderloin, served with dinner salad, pita bread, steak fried, and our tzatziki sauce', and a water. The salads arrived crisp and fresh tasting and the thousand island dressing tasted very good. Mom stated her salad tasted wonderful. The tea tasted good and not overly sweetened. We both enjoyed our salads and the waitress refilled our glasses twice without any need to ask. There was a short wait, but not overly long and soon the main courses arrived piping hot. Pizza has always been a favourite so I have very discriminating tastes concerning how it tastes. The pie had a wonderful cheesy pepperoni smell but the real test is the taste. As I bit down into the chosen slice my taste buds were very happy! The sauce was great and pizza cooked just right. The crust had very good texture and taste. Fresh dough was definitely used in making this pizza. It was a great pie overall and I took leftover slices home and enjoyed the rest later. Mom really enjoyed her dinner and said the tenderloin beef and chicken both tasted excellent. She also commented on how great the pita bread tasted. She visits other Italian restaurants in her area and likes Italian Garden versus the ones near her in South Carolina. They had great service and the staff made sure we were taken care of while there. I showed my appreciation with a nice tip for the waitress. This is a great Italian restaurant with a down home type casual experience located in a college town and it's worth visiting. We had a wonderful time and will be back and I will definitely be ordering take out pizza! :)

Family owned since 1960, and you can feel that in every part of the experience. The parking lot was packed when we got there, which is always a good sign. We grabbed a booth and the sweet tea came out right away with a pitcher so you can refill it yourself, which is a small thing but I appreciate it. Ordered the flounder and shrimp and it came piled on a paper platter with fries, slaw, and the hush puppies. And those hush puppies are seriously worth talking about. Big, hot, crispy outside, soft inside. The portions overall are ridiculous in the best way. The seafood platter is a good call if you can't decide, flounder, perch, catfish, deviled crab, shrimp and oysters all on one plate. The slaw is creamy and fresh, not the watery kind. They also had homemade cake slices up front and we grabbed a piece on the way out. There's a warmth and a character to this place that you just can't fake. Glad it's still here.

Jennifer asked if we wanted garlic butter on our basket of breadsticks and of course we said, "Yes, please!" My husband ordered the Meat Ravioli with meat sauce and it came with a salad. We ate the garlic buttered breadsticks and salad before I even thought to take a picture. They were that good! Haha. The sampler was amazing! They give you marinara for the mozzarella sticks and your choice of a dipping sauce for the chicken strips. I chose bbq sauce and it was really good.
