The staff is very responsive - theyll call, email, and even text you to work out anything and communicate as needed They give you the option to virtually provide photos of your setup for the initial proposal of an installation without requiring them to send someone to inspect things, which saves time for both parties. Once received, they'll verify the feasibility of the installation and draw up an official proposal for your review. I had a couple prerequisites to handle prior but once ready, they are quick to get back to you with all of the official documents From there, theyll send the engineers/electricians down to do the installation. Vasili handled my job and did amazing work. Super friendly and knowledgeable, great conversation, finished in 2 hours. He walked me through the game plan, insisted that I prioritized what location fit my preference over what would be easier to do, and executed it independently in a timely fashion. Overall very satisfied with the service from Kapital Electric :)

Your warranty isn't worth the paper it's printed on. Whenever there is an issue with your system, you will get a notification that tells you there's an issue, but doesn't tell you what the issue is, that requires a technicians visits which is $180 I recently had a panel that is under performing, which, after a technicians visit deemed to be a manufacturers defect. So my kick ass warranty should cover this right? Wrong! The manufacturer will replace the panel, but I'll have to pay for shipping, which is approximately as much as a brand new panel would cost. Also, I have to pay for a technician to install the replacement panel. So when the sales person sells you peace of mind that the warranty will cover you - don't believe a word of it. I have long recommended solar panels to my friends. I have also long recommended not going near this chop shop enterprise. They are Temu version of what a solar company should be. Project management is a joke. See my earlier review for that debacle. Product support is an even bigger joke. I wish I could give zero stars.

In addition, make sure all the permit is pulled with your municipal, along with the correct schematics for the solar panels, both were an issue here. After speaking with Adam Perri, Director of Windfree Solar, I was told, due to the workers were subcontractors, the destruction of my personal outdoor equipment and garage was not Windfree problem. All the woes, leaves me with the savings from the schematics of 77% savings, panned out to 18%. Monitoring for the solar panels based on the information I was given was a country outside the U.S., with no option to opt out of 3rd party advertisement. No thank you! Value=NONE!

Scott and his team came in and it was obvious they all knew what they had to do and got right on it (and did a remarkably thorough job tidying up on the way out). Three thoughts for you; Professional, efficient and reasonably priced. You can shop but if you want it done right......make the only reasonable choice.

The only positive where the contracted company to install the solar panels themselves and the installers were cordial, kept us up-to-date and excellent at their craft. We have had zero rook leafs (we had a new roof put on immediately before our solar panel installation to ensure a long longevity for the roof and solar panels.). They do not call you back in a timely matter even when promised they will for a current customer. The salesman was so slick and tried to switch out the panels he initially sold us on until we caught it before signing the paperwork. I even called the solar panel manufactures myself and asked if they were being discontinued, nope they sure weren't, and when we called the salesman out on it, ge skirted aroubd the answer. And already we're having issue with a solar panel. Something that cost 32k should not be failing with a 20 year lifetime. And your electric bills will not be cheaper in the summer, even though there's abundant sun but your AC is working overtime to cool your house, and certainly not cheaper in the winter when there's less daylight hours. Extremely disappointed.

I wish we spoke last year during the battle to get this job completed from A to Z. I will have to say that one of the statements you've made is untrue and I have a email to prove it. On 06/19/21 I wrote to Chris and sent her the estimate with the damage. Her response was that she would have to get back to me after speaking to the big boss. Then after we were told that no payment will be made for the repairs and we were not offered the option for your men to come out and fix it, nor did we want them too after seeing the careless job they did. I will admit our roof was a challenge and I fully blame Nate at Phoenix for pushing this project forward. However, these mistakes mentioned below and the year long battle to get the job completed should have earned me a salary with the way I had to continuously contact everyone and get everyone on board. No one took ownership of this project, that was the mistake from day one.

He seemed knowledgeable, really into the details and like he wasn't going to miss a thing. So I agreed to an "energy audit" that would investigate my house and find issues. Mike was fantastic and personable and performed the $495 "audit". However, the "audit" was a blower door test and combustion test, both of which are already required and included by all the other insulators. The audit missed several other things the other quotes mentioned for free, like my attic ventilation was wasn't up to code. After the lackluster "audit" the quote came in much higher than the phone estimate. When I sent another quote over, Mark worked the price down to so that it was about $495 over the other quote. I agreed because I had already paid for the audit and wanted to be refunded that $495. The morning of the insulation, Mark called right before the team was supposed to be getting there and asked if I'd checked my email to see that the combustion test failed and I wouldn't get the $700 rebate unless I replaced my boiler and water heater. I agree and don't want back drafting or carbon monoxide poisoning. However, the 'audit' was 2 weeks ago and I'd spoken to Mark the day before so he had every chance to let me know, but he failed to mention this issue until the morning of. TL;DR: They might be great guys and do a great job, but do not get the 'energy audit' because it'll be included in any other BPI certified insulation quotes.

But AES came in lower than others, likely because they recommended the insulation solution that was most appropriate for my house. I could understand how folks could get scared away by the $495 audit. But I found the audit report useful and actionable. One key example: the audit correctly identified a health hazard in my basement that needed to be remedied immediately. If you're questioning the point or cost of the audit, I'd just recommend you hang in there and trust the process. The entire cost of the work (including the audit) is fair. And AES's approach is the correct one: You don't necessarily need foam insulation throughout your entire attic, as air generally leaks from specific parts of the wall and ceiling. What these guys propose--a targeted use of foam and plates, in addition to bio-friendly insulation throughout the attic--feels right to me. And the three guys that came to do the work were solid. They knew their stuff, answered all my questions, and paid special attention to some problem areas I identified. They also cleaned everything up well, and didn't even mention how hellish my attic is. (It's nearly impossible to move up there.) For folks that just want someone trustworthy to execute a sensible solution for their house, these guys are it.
