We had such a fun experience today. Been going to build a bear many years, but this visit today stood out. My younger sons came in for their birthday bears. The staff was so sweet and patient. I wanted to say thank you for keeping the build a bear magic alive. Well done!

This was such a fun experience. I've never in my life done this before and I always wondered what the process was. My son, husband, in-laws and I all showed up on a Friday afternoon around 2:30 PM. To our pleasant surprise, the place was completely empty and all attention was paid to us so this is a great time to show up. It's located in the Santan Village in "kids Row" everyone who worked there was so incredibly kind to our son and so accommodating to us. For such a fun experience the cost is pretty low, depending on how many upgrades you add. You start out by choosing a bear, or you can choose any animal really. For us, they were offering a two for $45 special so we got our teddy bear and also a monkey that my son chose. Then you go over to the stuffing machine and watch it getting built/coming to life. They ask you what consistency you want which is nice as well. You do have the option to put in a soundbite and you can record yourselves in the teddy bear we recorded us telling him that we love him, and on the monkey, we recorded his voice so he could always hear his voice as a baby even when he's older. You can also add a heartbeat which we did on the teddy bear. After the bear is stuffed, it gets all sewed up. You can go over to the bath station and "clean it" and then you decide the accessories. There's a lot to choose from, I would say more for girls than for boys. We ended up getting a few T-shirts. Then there is a whole station where you can take photos which of course we did. And before you pay and check out you sit down and enter the animal's information by scanning its barcode and creating a birth certificate. The whole experience takes about a half hour depending on how creative you get! I would definitely recommend this experience for any family. For the entire experience we paid under $85.

On a Friday evening, we hosted our families for an event at this Build-A-Bear Workshop. From scheduling, coordinating and executing this event - these team members did not miss a beat! They were so kind and helpful for each and every family. Their help was incredible and vital to a successful event. They exceeded my expectations and I couldn't be more thankful for how they handled making 44 bears in 90 minutes! That has to be a record! Thank you ladies and gent SO much. Stop in at Little Sunshine's to get a private tour from me! :)

First time at BABW in a very long time! I bought Zero at the chandler location, but the stuffing machine was down because of electrical issues. So I waited until I was near a BABW location to get him stuffed finally. Elliott was the one who helped me get him stuffed and he was super sweet and didn't make me feel weird about being the only 21 year old in there getting their own plush. Went through the whole ritual and I even added a strawberry scent to him. It was a great experience! The lady at the checkout was very nice too but I forgot to get her name. Will come back for future times!

Came for my daughter's bday. Everything is sold separately. Fun experience but not worth the price to return.

I saw a post on Facebook about their grand opening and I'm always a sucker for new small businesses openings in Gilbert. Literally makes me so excited... so I was looking forward to grand opening weekend! Location: it's tucked inside the outdoor shops on Gilbert Road and Juniper just north of downtown Gilbert. The parking can kinda be a pain so just be prepared in case they're busy to park in the parking under the building. THE TOY Selection: So many toys to choose from! These are not name brand that I can see but I didn't mind. Reminded me of shopping at Five Below but more variety and assortment. Lots and lots of stocking stuffers just in time for Christmas. He is pretty savvy with trendy toys so if you've seen something trending on TikTok he might have it. And if not ask him if they will ever be on order. My 9 year old son was ecstatic with all of the toys, fidgets, and even the remote cars. I love that they have opened toys out for kids (or adults) to test out. Customer Service: The customer service was great! My son can be a little obnoxious and he was so patient with him. I even asked if they had a particular trending toy and he stated they were going to get it in order. So looking forward to coming back for that! He was helpful with all of my questions and gave any insight he could on any of the toys. Value: I could order most of all of this stuff on Amazon BUT purchasing it in person sometimes even CHEAPER than Amazon while supporting a local business wins me every time. Most toys were under $10 but the toys my son was most interested in were less than $5. Looking forward to seeing this local business grow! Check it out you won't be disappointed! HOURS: They are closed Monday & Tuesday. Open Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 11-7 Saturday 8-7 Sunday 8-5

Trading Card Club is a relatively small location but comes in big when it comes to those three categories. The service is great. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable, easy to talk to, and I never once got the sense I was being taken advantage of or was just another customer. They treat my son very well and seem to treat all their young clientele very friendly, which is obviously a key thing that brought us back. You should note that if the shop gets busy, there's limited staff--trading card shops can't have 20 people working the counters--so you may have to be patient. If patience isn't your game, trading cards might not be the right place for you to be anyway, but always enjoy the friendly attitudes and vibes this shop gives off. Whether you're hanging around, opening a box, or just browsing, it's always a chill experience. They also run events and promotions, so keep an eye out for that. And I would note: do your due diligence before bringing in things to sell, because they're not going to buy a giant box of worthless baseball cards, nor are they going to want to comb through 2,000 of your old grandfather's card collection. They will buy solid, valuable assets that they can resell effectively. It is a shop that will obviously give you store credit if desired, which will likely exceed the amount of cash you'll get, but the amount of times I've seen people bring in stuff that they just would never buy in a million years is plentiful. So if you're looking to sell a junk box of cards, I would try Facebook Marketplace and not this shop. Also--side bonus--they have a shop puppy that sometimes hangs out in the front.

That simple gesture meant a lot and made his day even more special. The store itself was very clean, well-organized, and had a welcoming atmosphere. The staff was friendly and helpful, and there were plenty of tables and seating areas where people could sit down, play games, trade, or open their new cards. Their selection is incredible. Whether you're looking for trading card game products, comic books, accessories, collectibles, or just about any other hobby-related item, they have an impressive variety to choose from. It's the kind of store where you can spend a long time browsing because there's always something new to discover. Another thing I appreciated was their pricing. I compared prices with another card shop nearby, and Amazing Discoveries was noticeably more competitive. From booster packs and sealed boxes to even many of the single cards, their prices were generally better, making it an easy choice for where I'd rather spend my money. Overall, Amazing Discoveries delivered everything you'd want in a local game store: a huge selection, fair prices, a clean and welcoming environment, and staff who genuinely care about their customers. The birthday surprise for my son was the icing on the cake, and it's a memory he won't forget. We'll definitely be back!

There is no reason that a collector has to ask 4+ times to look through the card binders. I collect…read moreYuka Morii cards and asked if any were in the binders. I was told that one binder has damaged cards and the other binder has mostly modern, which somehow means that these cards likely wouldn't be in these. I hear this multiple times at trade shows where vendors directly tell me they do not have cards I'm looking for, and then I point multiple out directly in their case. After pressing a fourth time I'm handed the damaged binder and I find a Yuka Morii card I needed for my collection. I understand this is a combo tabletop and trading card store, but why have so many barriers between the collector and the cards that they are looking for in which 95% of them exist far behind the counters in storage? The only way to find out if they have your cards is by going through an extremely rudimentary search system in the back of the store on machines that feel like they are from the early 2000's where you have to spell the Pokemon's name absolutely perfectly with no way to search by artist. It's disappointing that customers ready to spend money have to interact with card shop workers who make it seem like a grand inconvenience to show cards. After visiting and experiencing 12+ other shops in the valley, my experience with this shop irked me more and more to the point of writing this review. If you go a couple doors down to The Trading Card Club or to Baxter's in Queen Creek, the barrier between the collector and their cards is a pane of glass. On top of that, you feel the passion from the workers. This is the ideal setup. Anything that is more than a pane of glass, such as a bad search system or a worker getting a card from storage for you, lowers the likelihood of that customer coming back and feeling like they'll discover something they are looking for.
